    Agree 💯 with everything said, I purchased the C1 5 months ago and love it 😍 I as well could not go back to a seat without the cooling. I have not noticed having to turn mine up any further over time - but I also am probably not in the rig as long as Dan 👍 10/10 I totally agree, worth every penny. Second thing I love about it is when I first got it, mine had the new car smell, so every time I'd jump in the rig and turn the fans on it was like racing in a new car 😁

    Thanks for the video! They are planning on releasing a larger version of the seat by Q3 of this year by the way.

    I love my C2 as well! nothing to report here, the Power Supply that they provided was 12V 1A and it died suddenly about two weeks ago but that cheap to replace I replaced it with one 12V 3A that I had laying around no problem. So if you are considering this seat I highly recommend it as well.

    I always have to modify my sim seats with memory foam inserts to make them comfortable, which unfortunately would stop the airflow from this seat. I although have always used just a standard Fan pointed at my body to cool me down.

    Can you put noctua fans in it?

    Sounds cool, but nothing for me (GS-5 & G-Belt). As a suggestion: they should add tactile feedback to their seats. SimXperience provides optional inserts for the GS-5 to mount small cheap Dayton TT25 pucks to the plates and this is a huge game-changer for less than 100 bucks. Even with default SimHub-settings the shakers basically in direct contact to your butt/shoulders provide such an impressive tactile feedback, they outperform 'grown up' Buttkickers outside the seat very easily for a fraction of the energy-consumption and bass-emissions.

      It honestly is a gamechanger, I love mine!

  • @jordangrant-smith1248

    Sweating is honestly one of the biggest turn offs for me in sim racing, especially during the esports grind. This is something I'd defintely buy, appreciate the review. Quick question though, do you sweat at all while racing with this or do you think it just reduces sweat?

    • @DanSuzuki
      @DanSuzuki  Před rokem

      It reduces sweat a lot, but unfortunately still am sweating in the other uncooled areas 😅

    The C1 looks nice, but also looks small/narrow , not for normal slightly larger sized peeps?

      They have an XL version of the C1 now. I'm trying to justify $1k for a seat now.

    I don’t understand how you have chairs like this but in your most recent stream you are rocking an ES1.

    I had this C2 for about 3 months now. The cooling idea is superior indeed. But the ergonomics of this chair is far from good. I always end up using my Sparco grid instead of the O-Rouge Cold fusion. im about 172cm and 85 kilos. AND since its a more sturdy chair, it dulls the buttkicker i got below it.

    Alternatively you could buy an actual car seat for 1/8th (or less) of the price, that's fabric and comfortable from a wrecker/some second hand marketplace. That way you won't sweat as much as sitting in a hard back bucket seat that no one really needs. And if you still want fans, spend 20-50 dollars on some fans and a fan controller and cut out a space for them in the seat with a utility knife.
    Certain things doesn't make sense unless you have money to literally throw away.

    • @DanSuzuki
      @DanSuzuki  Před rokem +1

      Have you tried this seat?

    • @halsoy
      @halsoy Před rokem

      @@DanSuzuki this one in particular, no. Other ventilated seats, yes. As an example have ventilated seats in my car, and as with many others like it they work on the same principle with fans rushing air through porous material. It works really nice, there's no arguing that. One key advantage those have is that they'll always blow air of a certain temperature. Lots of people also don't have air conditioned rooms or a heat exchanger. So if it's really warm it'll have less effect.
      I've also used a similar seat from Sparco, and no doubt (as I said about hard-back bucket seats) it'll be nice since they get really hot. Which is a problem with the seat style. But one may as well just remove the issue by using a seat better suited for the purpose, like a normal car seat. Especially if it's well ventilated naturally.
      The nice thing is that we have options. And people are free to spend money on what they want, but I'd personally try and remove the issue instead of bandaiding it.

    I emailed these guys about shipping to Australia, but they said it had been too expensive and they couldn't do it, but would get back to me. Sadly I never heard from them so bought a Sparco, but one day I'll be allowed to have nice things as an Australian. Would love to use one of these
    Update:(!) they are now stocked in Australia at gamergeardirect, they got back to me recently :)
