A wireless* QR that works with EVERY base and wheel? Yep, I made one, build yours now!!
Ko-Fi Supporter Page: ko-fi.com/dansuzuki
* well technically it's not true wireless since it still uses a wire on the base side which imo is not a big problem though since you can just route it properly once and forget about it :)
NRG QR I'm using for base side (also comes with excellent wheel side). The base side is the critical part for tolerance/play so don't save money on that: amzn.to/3yh1W0U *

This wheel is to sexy and the grips feel perfect in ergonomics lol also you now can buy all 4 paddles without the hub. I work wirh cf often things like fat carbon etc. The one thing I love about cube is they use very very high qaulity cf. Many places say real cf cough cough moza but it isnt. Even there fsr isnt real cf. But cube controls has the best cf ive felt and you wont believe this but simagic uses the second best cf ive felt or seen on a wheel. Like the fx pro and the fx true real high qaulity cf. You really need to look at the cf almost a 3d look to real cf. The lines shouldnt be absolutely perfect like someone drew them on. The design and sticthced cf or layering should not be straight up or down. Or strsight left to right. Good cf you can almost look at it and see glass not like see theough but almost like you see a layer giving a slight sheen. Also where the cut is at like the cutout across top and bottom should be slightly lighter due to how cf is when you grind or cut it. You can see the layers and those have a certain look also. I know you said you dont like the colorful buttons but me I love them, like you said all preference. I will say I dont know why cube controls has lag even directly plugged in when simagic fx pro or fx has like none even when wireless. Or its at least not noticeable
So did you fly using the Simucube Active Pedals? and if so how did you have them set up? am guessing they can't operate like a real rudder pedal set?
I see your setup in the first few minutes of Day 1 - let's LEARN how to FLY đ
How do you mount these pedals? I see no mounting flange or pads?
Is there any way this could work on a console? I have a pxn v12dds but no wheel and i was wondering if i could use this product to make a custom wheel that would still work when i use it on my ps5
Hi Dan, what QR are you using in this video? Thank you!
Made my own, check one of my latest videos for some more info đ
ive had this for a year now and its still amazing
I have these. Just wondering whether to get the heel moving support for the brake pedal ?
I also use the Compact R but I canât use the speed acceleration potentiometer in the middle at 100% because there is way too much road texture details in ACC or LMU. Do you know how I can just lower the road detail information in SimTools? At the moment I have to lower the middle potentiometer to about 40% because if not, it the compact r is shaking me up like in a protein shaker đ«š But when I lower it, shifting and so is not kicking in that good anymore. Thank you for any advice âșïž
Thank you so much!
Does it still work ? UCR does not show my wheal as a input device ?!
In theory yes, but iracing has that feature built into the game now
gentleman and scholar, you are...
I kinda want this, but Simucubes website just says âunavailableâ for the Link. With no info about when itâll be in stock. Usually stores will say out of stock. Unavailable sounds like i could be waiting a long time.
I'm getting triple 1080p soon and my pc is currently 5600x and 3060ti. Do you think it will be good enough and if not, what should be the first upgrade? CPU or GPU? Edit: I mainly play iracing
1000for both, take it or leave đ
Hi DanïŒhow high is the pedal?
nice video :) Did you solve the simultaneous input problem by cleaning the PCB substrate? Please tell me how to solve it
Dan did you ever get the led's for the button's to work with LMU? The screen and REV LED's work, can't get the LED's behind the button's to work. They all work fine on iR, AC, ACC.
Yes, itâs all one chain - I donât see how you can have working shift lights but no button lights đ€
@@DanSuzuki so after finding my brain, I had some sort of âdefaultâ profile loaded for LMU. Opened up the profile I have while LMU was selected in Simhub and it works fine now. đ€ŠđŒââïž
Awesome video! 3D scanners are definitely useful in sim racing. Have you guys checked out photogrammetry? It's another cool tech where you can create detailed 3D models just by taking a bunch of photos. Imagine capturing the track details with just your phone camera! đđšđž
I would love to see MVH Studios work with yall to create this for their wheels. This would be a game changer for them.
Good to see you on track in the TCRs, Dan. More of this, it's great fun!
I forgot how fun these cars are đ
I came across an interesting commentary on facebook by an owner of an Alpha mini - 2 in fact. His comments are as follows:- 'Just recently joined this group, and figured I would drop some interesting information I learned. I've owned my Simagic alpha mini ( v1 well come back to this ) for over a year. Bought it in March of 2023. jump forward to this weekend I bought a used alpha mini (v3) off facebook marketplace.. When I got it home I noticed a difference in the power / detail of the feedback. This is when I noticed the v1 and v3 tags on the back. Did some digging all I could find online was everybody said itâs just a power supply difference ( 252w on the v1 compared to the 237 on the v3 ) and nothing more. As you can see by the pictures they are quite different and as mentioned the v3 feels slightly under power. So if anybody is going off the reviews saying the Mini is more towards that 13nm mark at holding torque may be incorrect now. If anybody has suggestions on how to test the actually torque let me know⊠Tl:dr alpha mini v1 is different from the alpha mini v3 and feel like a slight downgrade on simagic's part?' If these comments are true then it kind of indicates current Alpha Mini wheelbases have been throttled back, power wise anyway, perhaps for safety reasons but the community should be aware is all ..
Extremely helpful video. I now know what direction I want to head in. Thank you!!!!
Hi Dan, great review as usual. It looks like you got the Alpha mini V1 rather than the current V3. AFAIK the V1 came with a different power supply which allowed it to reach the higher torque values. The V3 only reaches 10nm as advertised, so you might need to add a disclaimer here.
was 2021 this blurry?
2:04 This is really helpfull, thank you for that. Its not that common to see people making things that objective. You mostly hear personal experiences. Is it good or is it bad?How much fun im i having. Also paper specs does nothing to a non trained person other than higher is better. But even if you dont know nothing about magnets and motors its easy to understand what you see and comparing that to your alpha mini video its clear that this motor has some kind of steps. Really everything has steps but when the numbers are high the kind of disappear like 4K monitors have almost zero screendoor effect(pixels showing). Its like simagic is 4K while moza is 2K. Past the point where you dont see any flaws, pixels and blurryness, more is insignificant if you cant tell the difference. Bottom line is hardware is fixed and software can be as good as the hardware allows. And more steps and resolution is better and you made it very clear that simagic is higher res that mozaR12-R9 Edit: 16:15 i saw the rest of the video and bam here comes the mini Before the GT NEO you could argue that moza wheels are cheaper thus making the bundle more affordable and accessible but after this wheel its over I really hope moza does a strong comeback and beats the mini,i really do It will very good for the competition
I saw this Wheel for the first time and I fell inlove. I wanted her in my life. "see's the price" Okay have a nice day. Jokes aside, got damn, this wheel is nice. But yea in the UK cheapest I could find was a used one for ÂŁ850 or a new one for ÂŁ958
Maybe prices for the mk1 will go down a bit now that mk2 is announced đ
I love FSims (but havenât touched them since FS X) but have to admit thereâs not a heck of a lot going onâŠ. I remember setting autopilot and walking away for a bit to do other things. Best thing about them is takeoff and landing, the rest is mostly trying to stay awake.
Haha yeah itâs usually a just chatting stream with occasionally pressing some buttons đ
@@DanSuzuki it would be nice if you could go back and chat with the passengers. Maybe they can take care of that with AI.
Now you're flying a real aircraft đ
Hi Dan, will u mind sharing ur LED profile? That's beautiful
Just a question on the brass bushings for the shifters and clutch, you wouldn't happen to remember the inner and outer diameters and length. The BOM just lists it as 4x8x6mm and the link goes to 8mm inner by 12mm outer by 6mm length?
Expensive, software needs tons of work. And they donât even offer a clutch. But I suppose with how much they already cost with only 2 pedals a clutch would make them $2k I will say they look really nice though.
Really funny how you convert to flight sims and I convert to race sims after reaching a certain level in the opposite type of sim. If you want to try the real military flight sim stuff try falcon bms in the f16.
Hey Dan, I think an awesome streaming idea would be to complete the MSFS landing challenges!
I did hear alpha mini v3 is not 13nm anymore, but just 10nm. What was the one you have got?
did the x-29 scan end up somewhere for download?
8k ? the price is crazy
These are beautiful, sucks they apparently donât have US distribution. Another $160 for shippingâs hard to swallow on already expensive pedals. And after you mentioning purple pedal faces, I noticed they now offer them. I would have never even thought about looking at those. But now thanks to you if I do end up buying these I think I gotta go with purple lol
Any chanse u could share ur simhub profile for the GT neo?
Never made one đ
It was either a Fanatec GT3 Mclaren Replica or This one. Man Simagic got some nice Wheels. Asetek really needs to redesign there's as I just find their Wheels look a bit too plasticy/like a toy. I dunno.
Nice choice for a first module! If you want to do some additional reading, look up Chuck's Guides as he has a very well laid out slide deck detailing all of the critical functions of the F14 (and other DCS birds).
Love these pedals!! I've got the P1000I
hey dan nice to see you in dcs i have a tip for you... the f14 is hard as hell try to get your hand on the f16 or f18 first the flight model is easyy
Thanks for the comparative! Really helpful! I'm planning to build a pc now in 2024 don't want to spend very much, so thinking about combination 7800X3D plus RTX 4080 Super. Cheers!
this gets affected by ambient temp no?
Nice job men. A lot of efford!
Wait this is a crossover i never saw coming
How do you like dcs so far?
I have absolutely zero clue what I'm doing but I'm loving it :D
@@DanSuzuki Definetly a bit of a learning curve, but I haven't raced for weeks now :D
Dammit, i missed the barrel roll on stream! đ
Beware this is not the latest version of the Alpha Mini (the shape is different). The newer ones are Alpha Mini v3 and they're weaker. I replaced my Moza R9 and it almost has the same power. They probably dropped the peak force to 10nm.
@dansuzuki can you confirm which version of the alpha mini you have in this review?
â@@justindlai At 10:37 it's supposed to have the version info but it's not there. That's weird because even v1 ones have that. Also I wouldn't rely on this torque measurement method much. They measure the force at the steering limit but what matters most is how much force can the games send without clipping. It is possible the motor can produce 13nm but the driver only allows games to send 10nm peak. What matters more is his comment at 2:33 that says Alpha Mini feels stronger than Moza R12 and this is not the case for me. There is also a possibility that I have a lucky R9 which can go above 9nm. There are people who complain about R9 heating issues but I never had such problem, it barely gets warm, probably less warm than mini.
Thanks for doing the good work of informing the fans about the new v3
Also the original mini power supplies were 252w, now people are reporting 216w.
Hi, wanted to ask if i can buy the wireless version and choose to connect it either via cable or wireless.
