    I just ordered these. Been wanting them for months. Simagic is incredible. I have the alpha u and fx pro and couldn’t be happier after a year of owning them. They’re perfect. And so affordable compared to comparable products on the market just like the pedals. This company is amazing

      @@llavaertsorry I don’t have CZcams notifications and just saw this after coming back to this video. I don’t know if you’re still struggling but tbh it was just trial and error for me like Dan says in this video. I spent a lot of time setting up profiles for iRacing, ACC, and LMU just based off of what I personally want to feel. I want to recreate real life as much as possible so I try to get the correct wheel weight and feel with ffb. (Example: in ACC I run 35-40% depending on the car. While having everything in the Simagic software strength-wise set to 100%. Ffb details is maxed while damping & inertia is 0. Mechanical grip is around 30-40%.)
      Some people who try my rig say it’s too heavy for them but for me, it’s perfect, and it’s about as heavy as a gt3/4 car. I haven’t driven one myself…yet…Lol, but I have had an amateur gt3 driver test out my rig and help me tune it to be as close to the cars he’s driven as possible. And I’ve talked to Daniel morad a lot at races about this Lol. Everyone is different like I said, but I personally go for accuracy to irl. So you gotta spend the time to figure out what works for you.
      For the haptics on the pedals I use simhub like Daniel said in this video. Spent hours fine tuning suspension bumps and ABS and tc/wheel slip and lock in that as well

    Just FYI on this, the hydraulic set uses 9 elastomers, the non hydraulic uses 8. I just bought the hydaulic version and installed it, and it was confusing because they instructions show the non hydraulic version and says only use 8 elastomers. But when you open the elastomar 'container' it has 9 preinstalled from factory. If you look up the hydraulic upgrade instructions, it also shows a picture with 9 elastomers. I also noticed if you use 8 with the hydraulic set, the elastomer cover screws all the way down when it's actually supposed to be the preload for the brakes. You have to have 9 in there for it to be adjustable for preload.

    Nice and complete review! As one of the early adopters from these pedals I have to say I love them, coming from Heusinkveld Pro. Although the Race Beyond Matter video got me in doubt about them. In the software the degradation of the input is clearly visible, but I never experienced or felt it when I was racing and that's the most important part. Don't focus on anything that doesn't matter when you are using the pedals to what they are built to do. Now trying to find the rumble motors somewhere in stock, that's the hardest part...

    The hydraulic cylinder in the middle of the brake adds a damping factor that can cancel out the hysteresis of the elastomers.

    @arr1009 Před 6 měsíci +16

    Hy Dan! Thanks again for the review! For me your observations about the elastomers and his behavior associated to the load cell are 100% accurate. I studied Aerospace Engineering having many subjects studied dedicated over materials structures and mechanisms. Then it seems to me that your observations about the behavior of elastomers in combination with the load cell are absolutely ok for me. Finally, a correct and subjective analysis is made on this topic. I like to see that some youtubers, plenty of passion and really good intentions dedicated themselves to trying explain it, but it is a relief to see when someone does it with knowledge and really scientific thinking behind as you do. I hope can get the P1000 in a few months, and I think that those rigid spacers that's not included from scratch could be easy made in ABS with a 3d printer added to your recommendations in your previous video. Thanks again for made and share this!

    I'm so glad you covered the issue with this whole elastomer relaxing issues. I think some people have trained their muscle memory for position, rather than purely on pressure (whether they're aware of it or not), and they're the ones having the relaxing elastomer issues.

    • @gene_the_dev_42
      @gene_the_dev_42 Před 6 měsíci +2

      not entirely, i had CSL LC and had my memory trained for pressure. after updating to P1000 I encountered this issue using the same pressure as before. My further tests showed (at least in my case) its more related to the pressure applied and elastomers used. after i removed one grey rubber elastomer (softer one) and replaced it with a metal washer and lowered calibrated pressure a bit, stability improved drastically. I also tested with with the PU from CSL and it was also much better.
      So to me it's an issue with some of the 'rubbers' used that cannot handle higher pressures. So with mostly PU parts it's ok, the more rubber ones you add (grey and black) the worse relaxation will become if you apply enough pressure.

    • @francisfaustino
      @francisfaustino Před 6 měsíci

      I'm starting to suspect that the elastomers on the Simagic pedals are deforming under pressure. Laurence Dusoswa shows this on his review of the VNM pedals.

    i agreed heal rest plate is to short in my opinion either, however i solve this problem by screw it under by using diferent holes, but now there's a gape between pedals and plate

  • @lewisgordon1490
    @lewisgordon1490 Před 5 měsíci +1

    To eliminate the odd feeling on the pedal faces you could put something in the hole once you've decided the position you like. Exactly what to put in there depends on how deep the recessed screws are and how thick your filler is but the first thing I'd try are those stick on felt pads you put under a chair's legs so it'll slide smoothly on a hardwood floor. I've seen them at hardware stores, Rite Aide & CVS.
    Another material you might want to try are those wax mouldable ear plugs. You can break off what you don't need & mould it into the exact shape & size of the hole. I think they'd stay in there on their own, if not, cover w/ Gorilla Tape (the best wearing of all duct tapes ive used).
    A third material is fill w/ glue from a hot glue gun. Let it harden then cut off the excess. This last one may make it VERY hard to remove the glue to access the screws again, but in my experience all the glue applied in that application tends to come off all at once, not so much if part got a chance to harden b4 adding more.

  • @Azdag070

    Really enjoyed this review. The one thing I wish that they would do is to offer the inverted kit with the gas pedal so it can be mounted on the bottom and still have the brake and clutch on the top. That would be really handy, I mean that you could mount it either on the top or the bottom. But I would like it to be mounted on the bottom so it would have a better angle for heal and toe. Other than that they are what I am looking at for in an upgrade from the Thrustmaster T-LMC Pedals. Thank you sir for the share.

  • @victosab
    @victosab Před 2 měsíci

    An official spring kit, what great news, I see they are on sale now! Thanks for the information. Using the P1000 with the hydraulic kit with soft elastomers (gray), there is a lot of elastomer decompression, which is a real problem... I have to switch the crankset to "angular" mode to correct this problem. So I can't wait to test this spring kit! Do you know the difference between a hydraulic crankset with a pressure sensor, and a hydraulic crankset with a loadcell sensor (like the P1000)? Thank you for your always sharp reviews.

  • @brentonedwards
    @brentonedwards Před 4 měsíci

    Logically, load cells with a more dense/harder elastomer stack will provide a more linear brake response in relation to pedal travel compared to a softer elastomer stack as the pressure is more directly applied.

      Out of interest why are you guys upgrading the Sprints? Is it for the extra options of the haptics or hydraulics, or do you find the Sprints lacking in other ways? I'm going to have space for a proper rig at some point next year, and can start looking for better pedals at last, and have always thought the Sprints look to be decently put together even if they lack the bells and whistles of newer pedals, so would appreciate hearing why people are moving away from them if you have a moment!

    I like a lot about these pedals, but not being able to move them left and right was a dealbreaker for me (especially vs other options at a similar price point). It was one of the things I disliked about the Fanatec V3s and that I looked forward to changing when I bit the bullet and decided to replace them. It does make the integrated based and connections into it very neat & tidy, but the sacrifice isn't worth it, IMO.

      Massiv upgrade. The Fanatec V3, even fully spec out, are extremely overpriced and terrible in comparison to every other set of pedals in the same pricerange. Indeed! I changed my v3 with sim 3D rumbles and BPK for the inverted P1000 with 2 haptics and hydraulic kit. The difference was so obvious immediately. (hydraulic kit is not important). Ease of use and customization and the feel of quality are just the first shocking things comparing to v3. But I also got faster very soon. Haptics also had a great role to it.
