- This is for @seekingathread's #psych thread requesting people to do a video showing an album from the Acid Archives book. I did 4 albums by Them after Van Morrison left the band. #AcidArchivesDiaries
Albums shown are:
1968 Them - 'Now And "Them"'
1968 Them - 'Time Out! Time In For Them'
1969 Various Artists - 'Underground' on Tower
1970 Them 'Self-titled'
1971 Them 'Them In Reality'

Very nice to see all four of these post-Van LPs. I used to have the first Happy Tiger album. I forgot to mention that the Red Crayola album was the second release on International Artists, since I saw all of those 13th Floor Elevators in the background on one of your videos. Thanks, Chris
Thanks Christopher.. that IA label is pretty dang good.. especially in 1968!
Hey man. I'm new to your channel, glad I found it. I am a huge fan of post Van Them, and like the band much more without him. Nothing against Van or anything, it's just way more psychedelic and fuzzy. Peace ✌ ☮ 🕊
hey there.. yes.. post van morrison is great.. have you heard the album Of Them And Other Greats?? i just heard about it, don't have it yet.. supposed to be material recorded from same time period but never put out.
Very cool Acid Archives video. I may jump on this thread.
I think that's a good idea..
Nice selections piper! Looking forward to more of your content
I’m working on one soon, and I look forward to your additional ones as well
Cool, Chris - thanks!
Thanks Marc.. i love the last package I got from you.. hopefully we'll do it again soon.
@@VinylPiper - thanks!
I dig these for sure and they are in the collection but decided to sell Now and Then. That one didn't quite measure up to me. I think "In Reality" might be my favorite of the non-Van LPs. Something wild and wacky about that record. Nice entry!
Now and Then didn't measure up? bummer.. re-visit that 10 minute version of Square Room.. so good. I have a spare 1st Canadian if you decided to come back to it :) Thanks for starting the thread.. I'll do another video.. hope to see another of yours soon.
@@VinylPiper Good to know. Yeah Square Room was the only track I liked off it and I found that it didn't hold my attention for the whole 9 mins or so. The sleeve design I liked the most. The other on Tower is a keeper for sure as is the Happy Tiger records of course
Good stuff Chris ✌🏻
Thank you man.. your cover images and graphics you use inspired me to start messing around with the elements.
