Apple should make the RCS chat bubbles a different shade of green so users can differentiate from an SMS thread
Literally just make them blue
It will literally say “text message-Rcs” in the chat box
@@rsupremexx3971Probably. ¯\_༼ •́ ͜ʖ •̀ ༽_/¯
but they won't, they wanna support RCS as quietly as possible so that people would still buy Iphones for messaging!!
I really hope for the sake of everyone that uses messages that Apple will eventually make a different shade of green for RCS...because it's going to be very confusing if it looks exactly the same as SMS
My system ad blocker Blocked a section of this video starting at 2:04 and skipped to 3:15 😮. Was it an ad?
It probably was, mine is blocked too
what system ad blocker ?
@@pewpewyadead Probably something like the SponsorBlock browser extension (Strongly recommended, by the way). There is a sponsored ad in the section of this video mentioned by @OT_Tips.
The irony is.....he was endorsing an ad blocker.
sure was, longest segment of the video
So, really... nothing's going to change on the iPhone end. RCS support is just going to ensure that little things like read-receipts and "typing now" bubbles appear in cross-platform messages (i.e. the green bubble conversations). In other words, it allows Android users to see more of the things that iPhone users are able to see in blue bubble conversations. Though I'm going to guess that Apple is going to continually add more functionality and little extra things for blue bubble conversations that won't be available on green bubble conversations just to stay one step ahead of the competition. I do hope that Apple's adoption of RCS will include end to end encryption of green bubble conversations, though. That would be really great.
Umm I don't know why they telling y'all these lies bcuz we don't have any issues on Android it's apple blocking out videos and pics to make them look bogus so ywll can feel like the iPhone is more superior which it's not our videos and pics to one another is perfectly fine 🤣🤣 ours on our end from Android to Android has no issues it's apple making ywll feel like and think android is trash when it's the best pidd just look how apple is stealing all Samsung features then watering them down to ywll lol ywll tripping
There are several changes on the iPhone end. You no longer get texts from your friends on a group text reminding you that your photos and videos got degraded to unwatchable. For over a decade that’s been the biggest problem when texting between platforms. You will also get read receipts and typing indicators when interacting with Android users. So actually several changes on your end
Awesome videos sorry I’m sooo late
I’m a member of a group chat my extended family uses for communicating about our annual reunions. All group members are on iPhones. I have one niece who’s on Android and we can’t add her because SMS contacts cannot be added after the group has been created. We’d have to recreate the group from scratch to add her.
Buy an iPhone for that kid
I would have downloaded what’s app and open a group there
@@sebabonvin Buy Samsung for that family! 😂😂 Apple sucks, and now they are taking Android ideas since they don't know what to do anymore!
yeah this is a known problem and I had this happen to me to...so I'm happy to hear that a solution will be coming hopefully soon
I'm just glad in my closest friend group we all use Discord so we don't have to worry about this mess
Apple Insider/ Apple Intelligence AI like it was meant to be. So odd but works so well.
Like the hair cut
Thanks friend!
its already here go to settings
Andrew did you put on a beauty filter for this video? Your shirt is in perfect focus but your face look blurry 😬
Is the RCS feature on iMessage available yet?
No it's an iOS 18 feature. I am on the beta but I can't get it working. Still says sms for both me and the android phone.
@@marcusm5127 The feature can already be used in the U.S but why can't it be used?
Nice
Still calling it Jraphic Interchange Format I see
No way he said "iPhone X-R"
How about RCS and privacy?
It's going to be the same as SMS. Like I said in the video, the early builds of iOS 18 don't support end to end encryption. Without that, it will be as secure/private as SMS is. If Apple does add E2EE, then it will be closer to iMessage.
@@AppleInsider But even if there will be an E2EE, my message will end up on a device controlled by Google's Android. And RCS is deeply integrated into Android, I suppose. So different than Apps like Signal, which is just running on Android... I hope you get my point of concern.
@@mcpointer756 End-to-end encryption is the same regardless of where it’s implemented, that the entire point of it being “end-to-end”
@@GeeksGets Encryption is not privacy.
5:38 "iPhone _eks_ R"? It's pronounced "ten R."
5:37
Right?! idk what I was doing there. I correct people on it all the time and I'm pretty sure I had a second take or a second time in the video where I said "ten R." Someone pointed it out before I took the vid live and I figured hey, will spur some comments!
I've been pretty ill the last several days so I'll write it off as that! Don't take away my Apple card!
RCS still need a plan to text 😂
how hard can you suck apples ass before you run out of air 😂
Umm. Nope
Great and informative video. Just a comment on the audio. There’s a hum and the audio is a bit teeny and… I’m using headphones and on max volume. 😬
And your face is out of focus a bit.
5:36 Ex R? you mean 10 R
The question is whether RCS cuts accross all phones, IOS and androids. If not, dont change anything. Stuff it.
This will cover all iOS 18 iPhones as well as most Android phones as it was added to Google Messages a few years ago. There may be stragglers on both sides that won't be compatible but it will be largely available. Plus it needs to start somewhere. In a few years, near 100% of phones will have it.
It’s freaking annoying that when you’re in a group chat and one person that doesn’t have an iPhone then you get green bubbles for everyone!
Yessss
Also not being able to leave group chats once an android person steps in this is why I hate group chat
I'm that guy😂 Galaxy S22 Ultra baby
Yeah buddy your the issue if you have the iPhone...
@@zadynplays8047 it takes 5 sec to download a different messaging app 🤦
It seems RCS only benefits non-iPhone (android) users. I don’t see the benefit for iPhone users.
When I got an iPhone they couldn’t MMS the first two iPhones couldn’t MMS the iPhone 3GS got an update to enabled MMS didn’t even launch with MMS the iPhone 4 would have been the first iPhone to have native MMS out of the box
Oh the frustration of sending a high quality 5MB movie to an android user only to discover they got a low quality grainy cheap half image of junk quality.
Supported by every carrier? Unfortunately that's not true!
I always thought RCS = Race Car Standard 🤔
Android 0 iPhone 1
Just tell ur android friends to buy iPhones.
I tried! They’re stubborn!
Are they really your friends if they don't use Apple? Just saying. Not suggesting you ditch your Android friends entirely, but maybe cut off all communication until they buy iPhones.
I use both iPhone and Android
The only good thing about iPhone is the alarm app
are you actually being serious? wtf is wrong with you @@halko1
@@halko1what kind of propose is that cutting your friends over the phone they have 🤦♂️
If Apple doesn’t want to support it they shouldn’t have to. Android users are sooo whiny 🙄
So basicly wanting to not have your pics nerfed in quality and smoother integration is whiny... right.
Apple not adapting this until now was literaly criminal.
You as an iPhone user are loosing out on us not being able to send you our full res pics/reactions. And it isn't android users it's Europe government that forced them to work with RCS due to anti consumer practices. The only reason apple does this is so you can tell us how shit android is and to switch to an iPhone, making them more money.
Boo-hoo govt stepped in and forced Apple to open up. Cry more.
Texting is a form of communication and it needs to be standardized so that any user across any platform can communicate to anyone and have the same technology.
