Induct this man into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Now!
Just for this song.
Rock n' Rolls best kept secret. I discovered him late, but better late than never.
Right on bro! I hooked up with his first tape "Warren Zevon" in 1979 and was taken! All subsequent music of his hit me like a hammer. He was never well received, but no matter, his base was solid and he never disappointed. His piano skills rivaled his contemporaries. 😄
No secret.
@@brendanpage3369 Right?
Great comment!
..
This song spawned the invention of the "repeat song" button.
This is Warren at his amped-up best: Dancing, doing the splits and really pushing the urgency of the lyrics. Just dripping charisma with a great band backing him up. I really miss this guy.
and that do...killah!😎
I love his performance here
He’s feeling it
Supposedly Warren went through rehab right before this tour and he was rather manic since he was clean for the first time in a decade.
WZ was one cool cat , look at all the great musicians that played on his LP's they new he was very talented Rock On ZEVON 🎸
Like if you’re here in 2021. This is the most underrated man of all fucking time
The best version of this song ever.
No supersuckers version is
Yard birds
Original by Ernie K Doe is mighty good too
I agree, I just really like Warrens performance, and the lead guitar break is superb.. the Yardbirds also did a version, but I thought that it was bit dull in comparison. Thanks for your comment.
@@krakatoa1200 This song is the reason I made sure I bought the album in '80
Badass after all these years!! I can’t tell you
How good was Zevon. Awesome. LOVED the Capital Theater, as well. RIP Warren.

Ck out his last apperance on
David Letterman, such a cool guy.
That guitar!
I once said that Warren Zevon only had one good song. I’ve never been more wrong in my whole life.
The studio version was fantastic, this live version is even 10 times better, Zevon and the band clearly on fire :)

@@johndunstan2415 John Wood guitarist
On wikipedia he says he spelled it both ways
To Warren's loved ones ... I've known Werewolves of London since it came on the radio and loved it, thanks to CZcams I've discovered heaps more WONDERFUL music by Warren and friends. What a talented man. Oh how I wish he'd lived many many more years to enjoy his Grandsons and children and friends. Feel lucky that he was in your lives. I'm going to buy Chrystal's book, I hope it does justice to a wonderful man.
That he isn't in the R&R HOF is ridiculous.
@@johnbruno3285 I totally agree
Much better than the album version. Pure class.....
That was a really good guitar solo loved it
Missing me some Zevon
Great stuff....Warren is channeling his inner "Roger Daltrey".
Badass!!
John "Harm Rabb" Wood plays a mean axe!

Had the craziest dream last night. There was this certain girl, seemed like I knew her. Woke up and She's gone. Maybe I used to know her or maybe just a figment of the imagination.
Either way I am blasting Warren
Love those spins lol
Seriously! But that was early Zevon...and a drinkin' Zevon...Whiskey A No No...Vodka A Go Go..

Oh Warren!

YAY, I've been given Crystal's Book, I sooo wanted it. My daughter surprised me with it for my Birthday. Champing at the bit to get stuck into reading it! Thanks Crystal. Jean

That’s John Would in lead guitar (as in “he can, and he will!” if you’ve seen the whole show).
Gotta love the Waddy!
😄✌👍💗
The BEST ever
Why is he not in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame?!!
Do you truly give a s*** what the Rock roll Hall of Fame thinks?
An Ernie K-Doe tune, but always loved Warren's version more.
Whose that lead guitarist, he's unbelievable.

@@brendanpage3369 . There's my way of spelling it, and there's your way. Yours is correct. Thanks. I should have checked it out.
Rhythm guitar guy didn’t get the memo that everybody besides Warren needs to wear a red shirt.
Im not 100% positive but looks like the Colorado based warren zevon cover band that he took on the road. How cool an idea, huh?
He should just announce it by whisper campaign and then "neither confirm nor deny" any resulting rumors.
I can't tell you
Aww

Robert Olesen It’s crazy how I found more about myself on Google than a skilled guitarist like that guy. Why is there no information out there on him? Is he even still alive? What’s he doing today?
@Lawrence Larson Thank you. Obviously Warren is going to have great talent around him
Thank you Ernie K-Doe!! The original czcams.com/video/RBeew18OmfU/video.html
hahahaha
not nearly enough people know about Warren Zevon
most notably the rock and roll hall of fame
@@mikemcf33 screw the rock n roll Hall of Fame, they sold out bigtime when they started including rappers and hip hop "artists"
@@MrRandomcommentguy I agree with you. Once they let in Grandmaster Flash the whole thing went downhill.
I was one of them. LOVED werewolves .... but then lost interest until the final 2 albums when he was on his way out. Incredible loss .
Warren doing his best Mick Jagger impersonation!
I know...but flattery reigns...yes? 😜
And mick thinks he's Morrison
The Everly's must of been bummed when he left their employ
ROX ANN 3, NOW U KNOE!.
