- This week I'm reviewing the new 2019 Kawasaki Z650. This is the new mid-sized naked (or super naked as Kawasaki call it) modern parallel twin 650cc motorcycle. This particular bike was a brand new motorbike training school bike hence all the extra protection that was fitted!
You can view the specs and more details at www.kawasaki.co.uk/en/product...
And a big thanks to 3D Motorcycle Training in Wetherby (Near Harrogate, Leeds, and York) for lending me the bike to review. Do go check them out at www.3dmotorcycletraining.co.uk
Also, come along and join the Rich Rides Facebook group, where you'll get sneak previews, news, and photos of upcoming videos coming to the channel / 2009081882728807

I've already decided that I'm getting this bike, but this video helped me understand the bike a bit more and gave me some vauable information about it, Great video!
Thanks and glad you found it useful :)
A cracking review. Think I'll go see 3D Motorcycle Training and get my licence just for that bike. Thanks Rich
Thanks!
I got this as a starter bike, only difference is mine is from 40 years ago, so yeah I got the predecessor of this bike, and surprisingly it rides just as well, I gotta say Japanese engineering don’t fail to amaze even after 4 decades
That's brilliant :)
Nice bike i love it kawasaki z650
This will smoke the one from 40 years ago.
Vibrations immediately go away from swapping out the grips. Zero uncomfortable vibrations after that. The seat is the worst part of the bike. Extremely numb butt after just a few hours of riding.
Thanks! That's really useful feedback and good to know.
Kawasaki do supply a tall seat for longer leg riders
Thanks for the info Billy, appreciated
How well can a big man fit on this bike? 6-3 tall and heavy too.
I was ok (6ft tall) but maybe a bigger bike would be better for you. The best way is to go try one :)
@@RichRides I agree it's too small for 650 again aimed for beginners in mind
@@jeremycubs8331 I think it would suit a lot of people but those over 6ft may find it a little cramped. Definitely great for new riders though as nice and low and not too heavy.
@@RichRides I agree 100%, not saying it's not a great bike coz it is, in fact I like this better than the Mt-07.
@@jeremycubs8331 I preferred it to the MT07 too :)
Any news on passenger comfort please?
I didn't get to take a passenger so can't really comment properly. It only has a smallish rear seat and the passenger would be quite high up like a sports bike though which may not be ideal for longer trips.
The handlebar protector 😲
I agree it's not pretty but it definitely does the job. The guys at 3D Training have another identical bike that they've had 3 months and that bike has been dropped 4 times already. No damage to the bike at all and just some scuffs on the handlebar protector so it works :)
@@RichRides that's great 👍
sexy looking bike
how much is it because i feel like buying one
In the UK they are just over £6k GBP
Wait til December, January, they sell them off at around 5.5k
@@rehone Good to remember !!! There are so many bikes out here in LA, CA that I see aren't selling well and I'm just being patient, I know the new ones will come out soon...then I can get the one I want for way cheaper !
