I kinda felt weird the first time when I wonder why I felt attracted to a fish man. They intended to make him attractive Aha
Can we appreciate Doug for the incredible work he did? No lines, just body communication and sign language.
"Hey yknow what, lets just make a handsome fish man. Like, a really handsome fish man"
Sally Hawkins nailed this role.
That suit was KEY to this film. It really made the creature feel present in a way that's still hard to do with CG. I don't think the chemistry with Eliza would have been the same if Sally had to bounce off of a guy in a silly mo-cap suit or emote at a tennis ball suspended on a green screen.
He's Handsome . In a fish-like way😏
"The princess without a voice." Really? God, this movie is so beautiful, I cried the first time I watched it.
"his handsome in a fish-like way" so you're intentionally made him handsome, all this time I thought I'm insane to be attracted to a creature
Ok But the creature was lowkey really sexy i give u that
Del Toro has a God given talent. If you liked this you need to see his other movies like Pans Labyrinth which is one of my favorite movies of all time.
I SAW THIS LAST NIGHT , I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT ..... SUCH A FANTASTIC MOVIE IN EVERY WAY FROM THE SOUND TRACK TO THE VISUAL EFFECTS AND THE AMAZING CHARACTERS ..... IT BETTER WIN EVERYTHING .
I thought the shape of water had so much more than what you see on the surface. A mute girl, who was abandoned, her gay friend ( in the 60’s) and the creature - all misfits in society. They all come together and help each other - says about loneliness, being different. I loved it 💖💖💖💕
I WANT TO SHOW THIS MOVIE TO BOTH MY MOTHER AND FATHER BUT I CAN'T . THEY HAVE BOTH PASSED AWAY . MY MOTHER WAY TOO YOUNG AT 67 AND MY DAD VERY RECENTLY AT 91 . MY DAD USED TO SING ''YOU'LL NEVER KNOW'' TO MY MOM ALL THE TIME AND I COULD NOT STOP CRYING WHEN I HEARD IT IN THIS AMAZING FILM . I HOPE THERE IS A LIFE AFTER DEATH AND THEY BOTH CAN EXPERIENCE THIS MASTER PIECE , BUT I REALLY DON'T BELIEVE IN THAT CONCEPT ... SOMEONE PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE . I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS SONG FOR OVER 45 YEARS AND HERE IT POPS UP IN THE BEST FILM I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS .. JUST THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES .
Doug Jones is one of the most under-appreciated actors in Hollywood. His Suru on Discovery is awesome!
If it needed to be a creature that you could fall in love with, I’d say del Toro hit the mark. I love the fishman! 😍
Guillermo del Torro is a genius, I love how he uses minimal CGI when I comes to his popular characters.
"He's handsome, in a fish like way"; classic Dougie! BSU still loves you Dougie!!
I love this movie. I wanted to cry. I actually did cry alot and also the merman looked so cute
I've seen it twice. I highly recommend it.
The acting in this movie is amazing!! Loved the movie
