I honestly have no idea how many times I replayed this mission
1
It was awesome
Sounds kinda ridiculous now knowing its scripted but i kept replaying it as a kid just seeing how many soldiers could make it to the shingle. Not realising it was the same amount each time 😂
Immediately get shot 🙄
Me to
back in the day this really felt like you were there with the soldiers
i love ww2 beach landing of MOF and COD WW2 stalingrad scenes
@@Rjey45ForteFevmof?
I remember playing MoH for the first time over 20 years ago. The Omaha beach sequence was and is so intense. I can only but imagine how it was for the soldiers that were actually there. All the honor to them and their sacrifice. Operation Overlord must have been hell on Earth.
especially Omaha beach, that was the hardest beach to capture, best defended
I remember it when I was running it down the beach....
I remember me and my brother shocked by the "realism" of the time, I remember he talking about the soldiers expressing fright on dying while in the ship.
This level floored me completely when it came out. I knew every inch of every corner of this map at some point. Playing it again today, nearly 20 years later was such a weird experience. I remember it looking so realistic, but now it's like first person The Sims Warfare. Still love those old sound effects and explosions though.
The level design, audio and camera shaking really makes for a more intense experience than the newer Call of Dutys. Sure, it's prettier now, but it's basically just "press X to dodge the MG42" - you make it off the beach in three minutes or less, which is lame.
@@HowlingWolf518 That's kind of ironic, ain't it? Awful level design, compass, dragging player by their hand and first of the many failed attempts to build a mil-sim game by completelly butchering the game mechanics and introducing ridiculous screen effects to make the crap look realistic (but somehow it looks like something built on HL1 engine, despite running on idTech3). It's all there, this is where it all started. I'm almost impressed by how many of the things I hate about many modern games they managed to do 20 years ago.
@@hovnocuc4551 You must be fun at parties
This isn’t a game, it’s art.
no - its a game
@@mitchsullo its fucking art mitchell.
You don’t play, you volunteer
Obvious “Saving Private Ryan” vibes.
Of course, MoH was Steven Spielberg's work after all.
No shit
Every d-day beach landing and any other landing for that matter has the same theme for all of em...."commander gives motivation words, then explosion your in water, walk up the beach.
@@knucklesfan463 Yeah, it's so obvious throug certain missions, and some death animations from enemies are kinda a SPR reference for me too
COD did enemy at the gates and other movies
This is the best d-day mission of every ww2 game in history of videogames!
*call of duty WWII has left the chat*
Cod 2 probably takes that crown, but this one is very close
No you're all wrong. Forgotten Hope did it 10000x better. It's a mod for Battlefield 1942 and when it was at its peak and that the D-Day map was full, 64 players, it was absolutely amazing! You even needed to C4 the doors of the bunkers! Forgotten Hope was really the best WWII experience I ever had. The devs were so passionate about everything they were making, they were even recording real sound effects for guns and tanks, they were even checking old ''blueprints'' of certain vehicles in order to remake them as authentic as possible. They also made a sequel, Forgotten Hope 2, for BF2 and I think you can play it online and there are still players playing it!
CoD 2 Point du Hoc was pretty good. CoD2 Big Red One, not so much.
This game captured the atmosphere so well
True that. It feels more like a playable movie than a game. Man, i miss those games.
This looks like Saving Private Ryan yes, but Charlie Sector like it claims…not so much. Should have the Vierville exit and more realistic beach defenses
I appreciate how you didn't rush through the level like most do so we got to see and hear all the details, good job! :)
This is a level that keeps getting remade in videogames. It's truly a masterpiece of game design.
I remmember playing this
The graphics were like real life!
Even today the graphics look decent
6:32 that’s some damn scary covering fire
Great GamePlay...🙂
It's The 21th Anniversary of
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault... This Year..
Happy Birthday - To The Great WWII Game..
Ahh the good old days of v2 sniper only multiplayer.
Wow! didnt realize this. Miss it dearly!
Классная игра! Помню в 2000-х до утра просиживал за ней, с братом по очереди! Спасибо за воспоминания! 👍
Если бы вместо ботов были бы оноайн игроки, хер бы он добрался до берега.
This was the best fps at that time
You just have to look on and admire how far graphics have come. This game and others from the time seemed to futuristic but now its a look back only.
А сейчас просто холёную картинку делают и все , ни атмосферы , ни геймплея, поэтому и играю в старые игры ..
This was the top of the line back when i was a kid. I remember being in awe watching my brother play this mission. Those bunkers were so intimidating to me. Lol
I loved this game so much I played it several times, thank you so much for this !
It came out the year I built up my first PC, like 3 months after. It blew me away! It was SO MUCH better than the PS1 ones that came before it. I was like: Ok, I'm a pc gamer now, I can't go back.
Brings back memories! Loved playing Spearhead online, clan competitions
I really hated that this mission ended abruptly
Me too, man. It kinda sucked how we didn't get to meet up with other soldiers and finished the job up there while clearly there was still lots of Germans in the trenches at least at the end of the level...
You know there was supposed to be more to this level because if you no clip out of the map area you can see red boxes on the shore guns where you were meant to place C4. Weird how they cut that out
I was 14 when this game came out and oh my did I play it. Such an amazing game!
My old history teacher was teaching us about World War 2 and one day he brought in a few PCs to class with MoH on each of them. He told everyone, who wanted, to try the Omaha beach landing to get a feel for how intense it mustve been back then. He broke several cods and laws by doing this - but he knew the game and wanted to show us. Damn he was such a cool teacher =)
I remember back in 2004 while in Circuit city looking at games to purchase, and some dude tells me that this game is sic. So I bought it and experienced it on PC. The graphics were amazing for the time.
My dad introduced me to this game, at his job, he had a pc incase he got bored, i still remembr the hours of joy i had with this game, and also the hours of rage 😂. One of the best WW2 games
This shit was mind blowing when it dropped
I dont think I've played this game for 20 years. it didn't have the multiplayer playability of battlefield 1942 or COD1 but it clearly left an impression on me as I remember every bit of this. Incredible
I was still in high school at that time, and this game is one of the most beautiful memories of my high school days, I played in turns with my friends until the game was finished, I don't even remember how many times I played this game
mind blowing the first time I played
Me in that year: "Normandy in a game with Quake3 engine, I cannot get any better than this".
Hats off to sound designers. 👌
If done *just* right, this is one of the few levels where you can get a Kar-98k in single player.
This is only level where you can do this.
Exactly! I was somehow hoping he did it.
Yeah, all you have to do is to not pick up the springfield ‘03 sniper.
@@genericcomment162 Exactly! It is on the crater, you just have to skirt it and voila, K98k.
@@VRichardsn man, the hype i felt when i first realized it. Good old times.
This game kicks frontlines ass. I remember being excited for frontline as an expansion to allied assault but this game was much better done
What I never understood was how the other American soldiers made it close to the bunker when you and the 3 others where the only to cross after the wire obstacle was blown. Yet it is implied that there were troops there before you.
This was one of the most breathtaking experiences teenage-me had. Holy sh*t.
I cant tell you how intense this was as a kid. The game is a true masterpiece.
Core memory unlocked 😢
My childhood ❤️
I remember oh I remember , I was young TOO young , 16 I believe and this game turned EVERYTHING AROUND as far as online multiplayer goes, I used game spy or M launch. Man around the days or day or defeat, red orchestra, counter strike, unreal tournament it was truly a amazing time
This game/ had my heart pounding in high school
As a rule, when you need to move fast, you hit Q key and put away your weapon. You run faster when you are not carrying. You also move faster when you are just carrying your pistol.
Childhood right there
this level is way too short. The devs wanted to expand it but i assume they ran out of time
Some gamers looked at the whole map and found there are trenches and guns you need to take out after exiting the bunker. But they cut these from the game.
@@yatsumleung8618 yeah, I really wish someone could expand upon that. Too bad the radiant tools are glitchy
call of duty 2 has the expanded beachhead mission, in which you fight you way pass the bunker, on top of the shoreline, and all the way to the countryside at the back.
@@dou5689 Since Infinity Ward were this game's ex developers, they most likely implemented those objectives in COD2's Pointe du Hoc.
@@dou5689 that was a different mission, Point du Hoc. But yeah this was a lazy level, complete rip off of saving private Ryan and short.
10:03 German officer killing his own man
He was undercover. He just ran out to talk to you and join the cause, but you killed him.
Back in the days, when we felt we were actually in dog green sector, Omaha beach, with men we saw in Saving Private Ryan. It was magical experience.
The battle atmosphere was way ahead of its time..
My childhood I still have ptsd from it
Man I miss this game wish we had a remastered version of some of these on the switch or something
I love its its was my first game in world was game to see
I got addicted to ww2 gaming with this mission.
didn't we all? the early 2000's were the start of it all. Plus SPR came out in 98 and the band of brothers mini series came out in 01. It was WW2 history everywere. What a glorious time
I'm addicted to these game🥰🥰🥰
Top Player !
Nice Thompson !
Such a epic game!
I still remember this game I was 7 years old when it released . I was crying ..could not get out this fuckin beach .
Not many know this but they use the dialogue from saving private ryans opening d day scene for this part of this game. You’ll notice Tom hanks says similar lines and this game came out a few years after saving private Ryan
i remember this mission
22 Years ago this level blew our freaking minds
Medal of honour frontline was my favourite dday mission
Memorable!
love it
The should have just called this “saving private Ryan the game”
never had that feeling again in my video games life
I remember wanting this game so hard when I was a kid
this was my first ego shooter, loved it
I Just Remember Saving Private Ryan First 30mins💥
Eu joguei esse game quando tinha 13 anos. Hoje tenho 31.
Em 2019 visitei Omaha Beach e lembrei de cada momento do game e der uma ideia bem melhor do que foi o caos que se passou ali em 1944.
Quem puder visitar, super recomendo.
Loved playing LAN MoH in a early 2000's cafe. Everyone was a trihard and bazooka was frowned cause it was pretty low skill. Unless it was all bazooka match then whoosh sound and youre a pile of blood.
First time i played this game was in 2007.. now it's 2023 and i still prefer it❤
Where Can i get this game 😢😢
Souvenirs, souvenirs 🥲
Still the best D-Day landing out there...by far!
The line is the same in Saving Private Ryan. Well Medal of Honor is created by Steven Spielberg too
I am on 4 health at the trench just before the bunker. how do I get there?
It seems to me if this game come out now when the engine could render many people it would be the best normandy landing in game

My Childhood
The amount of Saving a private Ryan Easter eggs 😁 😊
Yes i'm old. Here, take my blood.
maybe the allied assault version is bigger and more detailed, but the frontline one is really unique for me
Cuando era niño nunca supe pasar esa misión
The german guy on the radio actually yells that they have no ammo left
What's crazy is this used to be amazing graphics.
It was the toughest part in the entire game 😓
Not at all. If you get behind cover as the bullets make their way to you (and you have plenty of time to react because they shoot the ground way ahead of you first) just like the video shows, you’ll only be hit a few times. Anyone that thinks this mission is hard are simply playing it incorrectly.
Besides, “sniper town” is the hardest mission by far if you don’t know where to look.
where do i buy it cuz my pc doesnt take disks
What happened to MOH? They useful to be the God of fps war games.
This is still my all time favorite online multi-player ever created.
I'm the 993 rd subscriber
Aaaah, the days when WW2 FPS was fresh and new.
Hi I just want to ask how did you stream this game.
D- DAY. JUNE 6. 1944
When one soldier says clear the ramp 30 secs then I realised this game is copied from the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan. Isn't ?
The operation was carried out badly, too big losses.
1:07 It is necessary to prohibit whispering, this betrays the location.
wow this takes me back. this was my favorite map on multiplayer
get back there, and GRAB those bangalores!
damn dude, nice work with the nades
아직 이거 정품CD 가지고 있음 ㅋㅋㅋ 박스는 버렸네요ㅠ
This seems very similar to the first level Frontline
How to Play in Mobile

This game had grittier and more visceral gunplay than call of duty with a higher skill curve.
This was the game that Infinity Ward did for EA before going to Activision to develop Call of Duty.
how can i download?
i lost some of my hearing to playing this repeatedly on MAX everything, headphones.
THIS WAS SO HARD
What did you use for recording? Thx
