How about doing something with the wooden handgrip? Maybe darken/blacken it? Especially since the olive tape mod you've done is a bit darker than the original tape - the wooden panel stands out a bit too much now.
Picked up my 3-d printed grip replacement directly from Zander last week (great guy, BTW) and was looking to paint it before mounting. From your video, it looks like a step I really won't need to worry about. Happy Modding!
@@NerdyNotionZ I've been having a frustrating time with my Clippard replacement. I'm using the original screws/base with the Clippard, had to drill the mounting holes on the wand larger, and can't seem to find nuts that fit those weird screws. Plus there's so little room to work in inside the wand, it's been a pain.
@@joshhastie2075 i didnt use nuts on my clippard. After I drilled the holes, I made sure everything was lining up, and added a couple drops of glue before fully screwing on. Nice tight hold.
Considering you have two. Have fun and experiment and mod this thing all the way. That's how we learn. I moded my spirit pack. Dremeling out the wand was an interesting task but so worth it. Most important take you'r time and have fun with it!
I’ve seen a few mods of this, here on CZcams... many mods use any colour of tape, and then colour it with “Olive Drab” paint. I can’t understand why some do that, as this mod looks more authentic... using actual colour tape. Nice work.
Oh no! don't tell people to buy Gaff t.. actually do tell them to buy gaff tape, the gaff tape industry is probably hurting for sales right now. It is exactly what would have been used on a movie prop and that's a great catch on your part. However, I'm a professional card carrying Stagehand that has worked as a props master and want to mention, as a general warning, Gaff Tape is great, until it dries out. Then it falls apart. This can take anywhere from a year to a few years, but you will be replacing that tape :( It will also depend greatly on how often you handle it. The strip I used on my bokken lasted 14 years, but it fell apart as soon as i tried to remove it. The other strip that I put on that wasn't handled as much is still fine, but I can feel it starting to flake.
I kinda want to see more mods. one of the few things I want to see is a clippard valve replacement and adding paint in places that need it (such as the "button" next to the hat light button that switches the modes)
Don’t use duck tape. Gaffer tap leaves less residue and the cloth backing doesn’t deteriorate like duck tape does. I have a feeling Egon would have used gaff tape to repair the handle.
I used nail polish remover to mute the weathering, replaced some of the stickers and used an xacto to cut the cap thing off the front of the wand. It def needs new banjos.
I wonder if white paint to weather the tape would give it a more worn look, whereas black paint would give it a more grimy look. What do you guys think? I would love to see more mod vids!
Does anybody else got the problem that the LED's in the tip of the wand aint working? And is there a way to fix is? Everything else works perfectly all Lights at the grip turn on i have soundeffects but the plasma led bulp wount turn on.
The store that sells this piece of the handle is closed and I haven't gotten a response as to when they'll be open again. Does anyone know where else I could find it?
Man, be careful you guys. I tried to use the speaker output as a preamp to my proton pack and killed my sound card. It's very well designed but is still plastic.
A spirit Halloween proton pack + Spengler neutrino wand = 😍😍
I would absolutely love to see more mods
“They sell them in pints?”
“I’m getting one!”
😂

Looks great. Now do I want to start cutting mine up??? Umm. I’ll wait until I start building that backpack that you showed us yesterday. Great Job!

I'd like to see a Clippard replacement mod.
It is very easy. I replaced mine with a real clippard

I love watching you mod, your knowledge of GB is endless

Jason you live tonight I finished the hotel Sedgwick
Very cool video I like to see if that neutron wine would fit on the spirit of Halloween proton pack
I think I was one of Zander's first customers for this, it's a miracle product.
Oh man definitely do more mods! I'm gonna use these videos whenever mine ships out.
I LOVE THIS MOD! AAAAAH HA HA ( Winston )
Just bought mine due in part to your positive reviews! Amazing collection 😍

Looks good, Jason! Well done. Keep on modding.
This is a really good video. Nice job.
I’m waiting on my second one from EBay. One to keep, one to mod to 1984.

Id Love to see a wooden grip mod! Shoutout all the way from Germany
Go for it!! Id love to see what your gonna do!
The paint will come off on your hands
Can’t wait for an upgrade kit for aux sound and pack controls
More videos?! Yes, have some!
How! Just just how!!!
Wow, great mod! Please do some more!
Jason, usual great video it would be nice to see more mods like replacing the headlights and putting a real black switch.
I id the same mod with one of his grips. I prefer it much more to the tape grip that comes with the wand.
I used hockey grip tape however.

Would love too see a clippard mod, btw amazing videos man!🍻
Make a new wooden grip at the front
Mod the front handgrip to the normal black one please!
It needs real wood too...
I know this is an older video, but what width is that Gaffer tape? The link offers a few different widths. Looks great!
Its 1 inch :)
How about soldering some aux wires from the wand and connecting it a speaker in/with the proton pack.
Should weather the metal hardware as well. It's great but looks to uniform in color
Feel like some sanding on the tape would have given it more of the age you were looking for
More mods please!
Lookin good!
you have two cross the steams
Hi, I used green stuff to sculpt, was good enough without any 3D Printer
I would like to see more mods please.

I'd say why not weather it naturally? Get some sandpaper and be at it
Awesome video! Is it possible to improve the the speaker?
Has anyone actually replaced the taped grip with the screen used shotgun grip that Hasbro apparently didn't put on?
Does anybody else got the problem that the LED's in the tip of the wand aint working? And is there a way to fix is? Everything else works perfectly all Lights at the grip turn on i have soundeffects but the plasma led bulp wount turn on.

pog
Did you ever mod the wand further?
Curious if there's any option to cap the barrel grip with a thin piece of real wood.
18 dollars for shipping 9 dollars for part
Mine still makes noise when it's off and it's touched anybody else has this issue
more mods?

What's the price
what 3d printer do you have?
Ender 3 Pro (for PLA) and an Elegoo Mars (for resin).
@@GhostbustersNews awesome
thanks
Did you see my lastest video? I got something you didn't.
