  • Join Justin & Alec as they continue their Mods on the new Hasbro Plasma Series Spengler Neutrona Wand! This might give you a few ideas of what you want to do with your wand! In this one we talk about and start the process of replacing the rear grip with a full grip, as well as connecting your loom to the end, and comparing some of our mods to a brand new out of box Spengler wand.

    I used steel infused putty to fill in the stand pieces and it worked wonderfully. Has a great weight to it now for what it is

    Oh, you backed out on the barrel twist mod... I was looking forward to seeing how that was meant to be done, but I guess I'll have to look somewhere else for that...

      It wasn’t worth it for the Hasbro wand. We did build a throwing chicken v4 with the twist and pop mech so that’s a really excellent build.

    I am about to mate a Ben of Kent pack to a Spengler wand or the newly announced 1984 wand (time constraint). I am currently awaiting my Spengler wand to be delivered.
    My question: at about 15:00, the "back plug" - is that something that already comes with the Spengler wand, or was that a separate part that had to be sourced? If it was sourced, can you tell me what it is/where you got it? Thanks!

    Regards the shoe polish, do you need to let it settle in, won't your hands get covered in polish afterwards? Also what if you just covered the current green plastic "tape" with a layer of green fabric tape to save on cutting it off and buying/making a replacement? Would that do if you don't mind it being a mm thicker and the tape going slightly further along to make sure it's all covered?

    • @StrangeGlowVideo
      @StrangeGlowVideo  Před rokem +1

      You can tape over the grip if you want. I just wanted something more accurate with less bulk. The shoe polish dried and hasn’t smeared or melted in the heat. You could make a wash of acrylic paint instead if you wanted but that would take longer to dry and may need a few applications to achieve similar results.

    What kind of shoe polish did you use?

    • @StrangeGlowVideo
      @StrangeGlowVideo  Před 2 lety +1

      I can’t remember the brand but you can find it at target next to shoelaces in the shoe section. You can see it in this video, it’s the orange bottle, it has a sort of sponge tip you can “paint” the barrel with, just make sure it’s brown and not black. Do one coat at a time and make sure to let sit and dry.

    I backed the hasbro proton pack. I like your mods and I am tempted to do them but I am afraid that messing around with the electronics will cause it not to work with the pack. The wand will attach to the pack and the pack will power it. So I amngonna wait to see what happens when other people try this.

    • @mtndrew7854
      @mtndrew7854 Před 3 lety

      Funny thing about these "brackets" ...the one I used to attach the Hasbro Spengler wand to my pack was a corresponding wall mount I ordered from San Jamar (which sells mostly restaurant supplies) that shipped from California to my home in Florida 5 days later for $2.98. It fits the included piece on the Hasbro wand damn near perfect and I can honestly say this is THE cheapest option out there (made of metal) with no alterations necessary to the Hasbro wand in order to utilize. It's oddly very similar to what Buster Props sells for $20. Just sayin'.

    What was the point of swapping in the Dixie cup mount?

    • @StrangeGlowVideo
      @StrangeGlowVideo  Před 2 lety +1

      Well the wand was put onto a spirit pack, so this lets them connect, the one that came on it will work with the new haslab pack but the Dixie bracket only works with itself.
