A missed opportunity with the meter is fully controllable arms. The one that was operated in the movie by Harold Ramis could be manipulated to make the arms go up and down and the lights slower and faster at will. It'd be a pretty easy and inexpensive feature to include. Still, can't complain. It is amazing that we are even getting these toys at all.
I keep trying to remember what the Spirit and Imagine by Rubie’s props looked like out of the box, since I modded mine.
The stickers on the right side of the Trap are the same as the Spirit model, although the red one should be on the back, partially covering the speaker opening, and the white one (though Spirit-accurate) is larger than its screen counterpart.
I'd like a PKE meter with a button or a slider that shows it detects a ghost, better option then just repeating the same sequence over and over. Also, a ghost trap with a good foot pedal that opens and closes the trap with a long cord would be great.
When will we ever get a PKE meter that sounds like a PKE meter and not a metal car rim being dragged over concrete?
It must be complex and/or expensive to do for some reason, is all I can figure.

I managed to change out the arms on the meter with my Walmart one's wings. Now it's perfect

I like the accuracy in the look of the PKE, but the green arm lights turn me away. I do wonder if the arms can be swapped out and resoldered.
I opened both up and it looks like it'd be rather easy to do.

@@nothingalways3 It's fantastic, my son thought the trap was amazing and I felt like a big kid again with it. I wish I would've bought a 2nd one to be honest. Unfortunately I never had one of the old models to compare either, but this was well worth the money for me.

is the button on the right on the pke meter the exact same demo mode as the spirit/walmart one? also if I wanted to could I swap out the wings on the halloween costumes one with the spirit halloween one

I bought a PKE meter but whenever the arms close they dont stop trying to close. It just stays on and you can hear the gears grinding.
There is a button on the inside of the arms that the arms click when they shut, but the arms are not strong enough to push it so it just stays on.
3 different versions and they all have the light bar going the wrong way.
Tbh it seems like spirit and this Halloween website are using the same things even though it says “exclusive” on it. Seems like spirit just updated their products
I really wish they'd put grids on the PKE meter screens. Been trying to figure a way to do my Rubies one without taking the whole thing apart.
I was going to take mine apart and scratch in a grid on the backside of the screen.
@@Tayfrog I watched Punished Props Acadrmy modding his PKE meter and he scratched a grid on it. But I wouldn't have those skills. I'd need a decal or sticker with a grid.
@@whos-the-stiff i wonder if there is contact paper that has a grid on of that is transparent. You could cut basically a sticker out for it. Let me do some research. BRB.

Idk what mine is. I bought a pke meter from the Halloween costumes website and it’s looks to be the one actually from spirit, but the lights that go out dont seem to be as recessed. So idk what mine is. Maybe an updated version of spirites pke meter but I bought it on the Halloween website. Idk
I got the one at Walmart for $10.50 on clearance. Although the wings will not close all the way to turn it off. But still cool to have.

So in this video it shows that the Walmart ghost trap doors open when it's upside down and I tried this with mine and they didn't open so mine must be good or Ghostbusters news ghost trap is broken
I got the ghost trap from walmart and I loved it initially but the doors stopped opening the day after I got it...
So wait are these made by a totally different company or just upgraded versions of the ones already released at Spirit/Walmart/Target?
The PKE is certainly retooled. The timeline and production chain for these is starting to become a bit confusing.
Rinse, wash & repeat with these. Still miles away from matty collector so far.
I hope Halloween Costume becomes a Proton Pack. as an Europeans it is so hard to get an Proton Pack.

Does the HalloweenCostumes.Com trap have the same issue as when it comes to the doors not closing all the way?
Haven't had any issues with it as of yet TBH. I believe it's using the same gear system, so if something did get unaligned, you should be able to put it back in place rather easily.

Video is inaccurate. Ordered the Trap. Hat light barely lights up. Doors don't Close all the way. It like getting the trap from anywhere else. It's a total gamble how it'll preform and what condition it is in. Buyer beware.
The sound is terrible.

As mentioned in the video, they sent over the product for review, so pretty much. Also wanted a little more clarity as “Halloween Costumes” sounds pretty broad, especially without adding in the “.com.”
I've seen shyt that'll turn you *WHITE*
