Paul wrote poetically about the church being like a bride. Yes women like this description. But we don't have to focus on that and feel awkward. Jesus called God his Father. Our Father in Heaven. Jesus called his followers his disciples, brothers and friends.

The teachings are also very odd now. Church is centrally formed around families. If you want young men to be apart of the church then they need to have the option of adopting responsibility and starting a family. Which the church has put massive hurdles in front of men with how they preach to women. Imagine being a young man today (if you aren't one) and listening to what the young women say. They treat God as a surrogate lover to fill their primary needs of emotional and spiritual (Jesus is my boyfriend songs, walking/talking to Jesus, I'm married to christ, etc). Balling their eyes out to what could easily be a Taylor Swift song.
They believe that God will appoint to them the perfect man in their lives is another false teaching. There are over 780,000 words in the king James Bible, but out of all of the stories, books, chapters, etc, there are only two instances where God acted as a heavenly matchmaker. Adam and Eve, Isaac and Rebecca. That's it. This neglectfull idea that the perfect man will come around keeps them spiritually widowed and also might explain the sharp rise in divorce rates (which are initiated by women around 80% of the time), they dont know how to deal with a man's temporary shortcomings or how to deal with any problem that arises so they walk away from their commitments and pretend that he "wasn't the one."
The men feel alienated and ostracized so they seek a partner outside of the church. And the likelihood of them bringing their non-religious partner to the place they felt ostracized at is practically non existent.

Brother, church is a place of worship, not a girlfriend. You cant expect everyone to wrap it up in a clean package for you. You just have to believe in Him and His word...not conforming to social construct on what a relationship is. Its a relationship is between you and the Heavenly Father, not you and the worlds opinion. Getting to heaven is much more important than being perceived a certain way amongst your peers

    • @inconnu4961

Getting to heaven is the easy part! all we have to do is believe in Jesus. conducting our lives so we stay on the straight & narrow is the REAL challenge. Thats when men can have a lifestyle that appeals to our sensibilities. Lawd knows women have been doing this for decades now! Women dont want to follow men; they want to lead men. But Men do NOT want to follow women!

This has bothered me for years. While in all fairness, the relationship between God and Israel/Christ and His Church is strongly depicted as a marriage of The Bridegroom and His (often wayward) Bride, this archetype has been the predominant feature of much of the teaching, preaching, and the music. It appeals to the women and some of the softer guys, but has a tendency to, subliminally, ostracize masculine Men.

The relationship between Jehovah God and the man is Father and son (Mat 6:9; Mal 2:10; Heb 12:5-10). The relationship between Christ Jesus and man is brother (Heb 2:9-12; Mark 3:34, 35). One may ask, if he is our brother, how then is he our Lord? He is our brother according to the flesh by way of his natural birth (John 3:6; Mat 1:1; Gal 4:1-7; Rom 8:17, 29). He is our Lord according to the spirit by inheritance (Mark 12:35-37 [Ps 110:1]; Heb 1:1-5; Rom 1:1-4; Phil 2:7-11).

So women are ALL lesbians because they marry other brides? it was an analogy, not a job description. When we have our spiritual bodies we will be neither male nor female, just like GOD has no gender. GOD does not NEED sex to create things. but in the carnal, we need sex to create more humans, so we have 2 genders that have different aspects to them. This is the carnal world we live in. Read the book: Love & Respect by Emerson Eggerichs. both men and women need love & respect, but each gender values one of the other. Men NEED respect more than love; women NEED love more than respect. there are many, many such examples and science bears this out. men & women are different, and NOTHING but the spiritual will change this. STOP treating men as if they are defective women. Both sides are defective in complimentary ways! Thats why we ALL need Jesus!

Yeah but even a general fights in war with his comrades to lead the war and point where to move to next. He’s not saying God is a “brother in arms” sacrilegiously or in a way that brings God on the same level. He’s saying it as if there is a fight to be had and instead of God being a coach on the sidelines he’s a stoic Commander of war leading us(The Masculine) into war. He’s saying it in a way that has a more accepting and inviting masculine frame to it. It’s profound the way he put it together, and upon hearing his analogy it resonated with me in a way I haven’t felt before. I think this analogy should be brought up in Church. There is a feminization of the church that is currently going on right now. That’s why there’s a lot of fearful guys in the church who succumb to their own pornographic fantasies. Such as indulging in porn, video games, smoking, etc
