I was saying the same thing: the church does teach young women how to be wives and mothers and how to get resources. The church doesn’t help the men rebuild themselves. In the 60s we had black men who led in the church the Nation of Islam Black Panthers and so on. We also had those leaders killed or assassinated. Then came the 70s with the breakup of the black family where buy you begin to start seeing the homes led by women. Now 70% of the households is headed by females. Boys don't see men anymore. Black women are dominating the church the schools the workforce education and almost everything else. We have very few black male leaders anymore. If there's one place that can address this problem it would be the black church and that's not happening. The black church talks more about money and blessings. It needs to start talking about black male issues and bring black men back into leadership in the homes the church and everywhere else. This is why we have all kind of problems in the black community because of no male leadership. God Place men to lead.

  • @BrianCJ1123
    @BrianCJ1123 Před 6 lety +27

So true. Even as a regular church attendee for the past 3 years, I've come to the conclusion that the general message preached in church is pay your tithes/offerings (although tithes are NOT BIBLICAL FOR NEW TESTAMENT CHRISTIANS), get out your seat to hoop and holler, and upon completion of these things, God will bless you.
I've also noticed a very dismissive attitude towards non-Church goers (and in particular YOUNG non-Church goers): as if salvation/God Himself ONLY reside in the church building, rather than seeking to explore why people are not coming.
Thirdly, my pastor in particular will sometimes get up to "prophecy" over select members in the congregation. A message that has been relayed several times is that if what he prophecies does not come to pass, it's because that person's lack of faith obstructed their blessing. Huh? What is that? Prophecy insurance?
What many religious people fail to realize is that many who are looking to worship the Father in spirit and in truth decide not to worship in a building because when they go, they find anything BUT the Spirit of Christ there.

The Lord has placed so much on men, yet it is misunderstood and for this reason it is not taught. The world (families) is deprived of real men who are being assaulted on every side to give up their God given leadership to women whilst women are being virilised. What we have is confusion of gender and a war the church should be exempt of. Men will be attracted to churches when Truth is spoken loud enough for them to hear it. Obviously there ARE Pastors and those in leadership who are called of God and are genuine and decent in what they do (not that they are perfect because nobody is). However, it is ever increasing that many of the men in the 5-Fold Ministry in these churches operate out of a spirit of control, ego psychology. Too many of these men who were going to church have grown weary of seeing their WIVES doing more for their Pastor and putting what the Pastor says BEFORE her husband. No man in his sound mind is going to put up with that; especially if he (too) is serious regarding his personal relationship with God. Too many great marriages turn into nasty divorces IN THE CHURCH for this very reason.

Even tea meeting of fellowship where they could talk and gossip. The men decided to get together for their own fellowship. I was shocked to see how there were fears and concerns about the men doing this by the Pastor and the ladies. Men were not trusted for fear of losing control because men are considered bad. They didn't have the guts to say it out right but that was the slant in the double talk when it was addressed that shit was proof enough for me. I had a church divorce. I don't want another man in charge of my wife. Preachers claim that we are to surrender ourselves to a Pastor. God is my father and I am not a Catholic. Penticostals churches are the worst!!!!!!?

I have a lot to say about this particular topic. First, I think a lot of black men don't go to church because the Black Church is so emasculated, also I feel like Black Men are constantly put down by a society that pushes women to be on the same level or in front of the man that we as men don't want to have to compete for authority as it pertains to the headship and the fellowship. You made a great point about the Muslim faith. And while I'm a believer and follower of the most High, I see that the Muslim faith teaches that men lead their homes and be the headship of their households. And while the church doesn't teach a lot of men how to be in authority, they sometimes don't feel like they have NO purpose. Also, black men don't put their money into anything that won't benefit them at the end of the day. Think about it. Most black churches cater to women by keeping them driven by their emotions and feelings. In order to speak to Black men, you have to be a strong Black man. I've just become awoke and some of what I've been told over the years have turned out to be lies and untruths. If you add the feminist movement and the gay agenda you really have a problem on your hand. And these are the things that most Black Churches and Black Pastors won't talk about. I can say so much more but this was a great Q & A..

I’m not a black man but my husband refuses to go to church. For me, It was more like a social club. It lasted way too long. I hated being chased to my car by weird guys who found out I was a single mom. My kids use to be laughing like crazy when we would be walking fast getting to the car to get out of church. It’s also a fashion show. I would wear jeans 👖, sneakers 👟 and a shirt 👚. Did I have nice clothes? Yes but God said comes as you are and I came how I felt those days. Those weird women would look at me with dirty looks. They always knew not to approach me because I always had a scowl on my face, which isn’t a scowl but me being in deep thought.
I’m definitely NOT becoming Muslim. I like to wear what I want to wear. I have 3 daughters and I would have never ever allowed them to marry a grown man in their adolescent years. Plus I’m way to vocal to become Muslim.
I’m glad we just stay home and spend quality time together on Sundays. We do go to church on Saturdays whenever I visit my dad or he visits me. We do it out of respect.

Tongues then come home cuss us out beat us or seeing church pastors show favoritism to me that made me want to develop my own relationship with God. I've slipped so many times but I'm working on getting my relationship back with God.but only time I seen people really walking like there talking was Bible based church. Not a Broadway show and a few vs read b4 the big show.

An issue that needs to be addressed in the church, is the intrusive intervention of pastors in their congregation members personal relationships. This would not be an issue if it wasn't for the fact that a number of today's pastors are not following the Truth of the Bible. A lot of these modern pastors take advantage of their position in the church, many treats their churches akin to nightclubs/ discos. Finally, I believe they cause/ create more problems in people's personal relationships than help this is due to many women whom attend church are more willing to listen to their pastors more so than their husbands or partners.

I appreciate your real talk brother on the topic...for me the problem I see in some Churches is that men, regular men in the church are not respected...the "only" man worthy to be respected is the male pastor....the wife'and the kids control the man....he follows the woman, she leads...that's like putting the horse before the cart, it wound work. So until the common / regular man is respected in the Church, you will see less men there.

Very well said and very well thought out. I have defended the Black Church in many previous videos in the past on various topics and have done so as the need to provide context to the discussion. If I may weigh in here I will add a few points I have not read in the comments as well as may have been stated as well. The main point that strikes me with particular concern is that the current structure of the church experience is lacking in its relevance. While the organized church has many areas that have failed the community, this is indeed troubling. I say that because that inditement is valid. In pointing out this truth it means that the church has failed to be the body of Christ and Christ as the head. The focus has been misplaced if the results of its function are not reaching the brothers who need Christ most of all. If the church's presentation is lacking in the delivery of the ministry, message, and mission of our Lord and Savior because the methodology and emphasis are off focus then it means we have to address this reality. Now if there is just some "style tweaking" that needs to be done then a few adjustments can be made. But that is NOT what I am hearing and reading in the comments.
There are many major concerns that are spoken here. However, it is incorrect to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak, in that salvation of the souls of humanity is only found in Christ and Christ alone. His blood is the only hope of eternal salvation there is. Whatever the church has done wrong can be fixed but that basis for redemption is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Please understand and accept that fact as truth. The message of Christ's love is consistent with His word regardless of the preacher's flaws and shortcomings. The sacrifice Christ paid for our sins is yet relevant even if the church has taken the entertainment stage too extreme and the financial emphasis is out of balance. God is yet coming back for His church regardless of the hypocrisy and feminization of the folks in the building. While I am NOT condoning any of the mess, I am stating that the needs of and for the human condition have not changed on these basic simplistic levels. Can we agree? I will leave it right there for your consideration.
In closing, please let me leave this point. The church is made up of imperfect people who too need a savior. In the Bible, Christ selected flawed individuals to be His disciples for a reason. That is because He demonstrates His love towards us. And while we were yet sinners He redeemed us from our sins. He is the transformation and not the transformative needing individuals we see in the pulpits, TV, and stages and storefronts. Jesus Christ is still the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT. If that was not clearly communicated at church then don't reject the source because those on staff are not representing Him well. Because HE is still worth seeking HIM even if it means finding HIM is a task. Don't miss HIM, please. HE waits. HE searches hearts, minds, and souls. HIS love draws and HE is available based on your search for HIM and HIS LOVING power.#TRANSFORMATION.

I believe there are a lot of churches doctrines that cater to women. But the doctrine of Christ is neither feminine or masculine and we should not place his teachings in one category or the other. There may be an issue with getting men there when you said the church should be more family oriented but the people there are single parent families. So if the men were to be committed to their families instead of making children and not living up to their responsibilities then we can begin a dialogue about family unity. You made some very good points and I applaud you for this message.

I think you summed it up beautifully. And I agree that women can help the ministry tremendously, but in their role as given by the Lord. I was corrected of and shown this very message in a vision that God explained to me the order and role of man and woman as he would see it. And it humbled my heart and my understanding of my role as a women coming out of the spirit of homosexuality. The Lord himself has been keeping and dealing with me, because I did not feel safe around people or the church setting to help manage my deliverance from that spirit, because those same spirts I was delivered from were all up in through the church and I could feel them lurking and in their eyes, their movement, the way they dressed, the eye contact, the lust...….it was too much. And I separated myself and consecrated my body as a vow to God in celibacy, until the right godly man came along to complement me (this was not easy at first believe me). And I sense the word giving you the insight and focus of what is important to bring order back into the church. I too was shown the old way of things in the spirit and things to come in the remnant church. It is nothing like most of the churches today. I love your message as I can feel that it was truly a message from the heart of the Lod. No one could have expressed it more truthfully and simple as that. It gave me hope that true men of God are still around. May God continue to bless you and your ministry.

This guy hit it on the head! The black churches cater to the needs of women, and do very little for the brothers. The pastor should be "fishing for men", but they are intimidating by strong men. There should be a brotherhood amongst the men in the church. Muslim men sit in a circle and debate (peacefully) the Quran, they are huge on teaching men and on brotherhood. Muslims are not intimidated my strong men. Muslim provides structure and demands discipline. Christian pastors have no structure, and interact more with the sisters. Some sisters respect their pastor more than their husband. I guess pastors feel it is their job to protect women or it feeds into the insecurity as men.
