It took me a while to drop the "strong black woman" facade and just be a woman with all the softness that comes along with it. My marriage initially suffered because of the lie that we tell ourselves. Fortunately I recognized where I can make changes and we are now on a better path. Young women need to understand this. There is so much subtle strength in the feminine but many women have no idea. They think they can do the same things men can do and they are sadly mistaken. Men and women bring different things to the table; both valuable but different. Keep informing!!

I read a book a long time ago called " Why men marry some women and not others", and it touches on many of the points you made. I broke up with him and he got his new girlfriend pregnant and he left her after 2 years and never married her. When you remove these two off, then we can focus on explore the other important aspects of relationships such as personalities and values. When the two people match 80% on personalities and values, then the relationship is strong. But if it is less 80%, then the relationship will be very rocky.
If you want a decent man to marry you, you must embrace your femininity and value his masculinity. When you do this you have created a place for that man to come into your life and lead in the relationship ..His masculine design speaks to who he is..This is who God created him to be ..He created women to be ladies as in love the difference between the two of you embrace that. Neither one should do this, but women can be the worst. We love to tell our man how to do something. How to wash the dishes or sweep or do the laundry! I agree with a lot of what you said but…the part about moving to another country to find a wife if something happens to your wife because American women are too proud… well wherever you are, you are dealing with an imperfect person so she may not be proud or have an over inflated sense of self but there will be other issues you have to deal with , that could be even worse. The scriptures say when you marry “you will have tribulation in the flesh “….Try not to blanket American women as a whole with this type of mindset. I hate it when all black men are blanketed as a threat to society because they are black. Also you may marry a beautiful slim woman initially but talk to men about how to stick with his wife if she loses her health and no longer have “the look” she had when you first met her… I say that because I have seen men leave their wives when her health fails her… will you leave your wife if she is no longer healthy? again you have a lot of valid points but everybody is different as far as what they want in a wife… I think a lot of women display masculine energy nowadays because men particularly a lot of black men are no longer masculine, so women are having to take care of the things men refuse to do… they aren’t allowed to be feminine in many cases…Its not really masculine energy they are displaying, it’s seems to be a survival instinct… sadly…

I agree with a lot of what you said but…the part about moving to another country to find a wife if something happens to your wife because American women are too proud… well wherever you are, you are dealing with an imperfect person so she may not be proud or have an over inflated sense of self but there will be other issues you have to deal with , that could be even worse. The scriptures say when you marry “you will have tribulation in the flesh “….Try not to blanket American women as a whole with this type of mindset. I hate it when all black men are blanketed as a threat to society because they are black. Also you may marry a beautiful slim woman initially but talk to men about how to stick with his wife if she loses her health and no longer have “the look” she had when you first met her… I say that because I have seen men leave their wives when her health fails her… will you leave your wife if she is no longer healthy? again you have a lot of valid points but everybody is different as far as what they want in a wife… I think a lot of women display masculine energy nowadays because men particularly a lot of black men are no longer masculine, so women are having to take care of the things men refuse to do… they aren’t allowed to be feminine in many cases…Its not really masculine energy they are displaying, it’s seems to be a survival instinct… sadly…
Agreed, sadly, men have become feminized. I also concur with your sentiment concerning modern Western women. I realize that modern men must stand for something that transcends the chaos of culture. This begins with men conforming their lives by the integrity of scripture. These boundaries enough are able to essentially please God and bring him glory. I couldn't agree .more. Good points from an old school mindset. The relationship game has changed. You can do everything that he says and still meet a fool. I personally feel that relationships are not one size fit all. Work on self. Know your worth and go from there. Look at the women that were submissive and good mother's , givers and good looking and healthy like he says. Hell she got cheated on and the hell beat our of her.
