Would have been hilarious if the box was too heavy, Byron starts unpacking it...more and more ridiculous packaging comes out until all that's left is a USB stick which is easily carried.
I half expected Byron to empty the package in order to make it lighter.
But then I remembered that's just a Rowan move 😅

While bulky, if the package is empty, the drone should be able to fly it.
I love how Alan is trying to interject sanity into this scenario... but is fine with Byron riding his bike to deliver THAT package.
A bike is still possible
Cargo bikes exists which can easily hold the package of that size.
I've carried way more on a motorcycle, and if its a large box from them its probably a PC case or something (even an office chair in that box would only be like 20 pounds). Other than needing a rope or tie down strap, that's not too bad.
It's still a reasonable size as long as the bike has a structure to hold packages.
As a Dutchman, delivering such a package even on a regular bike should be no problem at all. Then again, New Zealand has hills...

Well.... the drones work. It just takes a bit of fine-tuning to get this drone-delivery to work. Be patient, Alan, I'm sure the customer will get their order. Eventually.

I saw that documentary. There was also another interesting one where a coyote used a rocket, I think it was from ACME or somewhere, to drop a boulder on a roadrunner. That could be modified to drop the package instead of a boulder. Thinking about it though I don't remember it turning out too well for the coyote.

I love the skits and watching for the breakdown of filmography. I don't know why but it's just really fun to me. Like at 2:11 where Byron's chin strap becomes detatched for one scene. Probably because of a reshoot. And the reverse shot for the drone landing at 2:55. These are my unreasonable pleasures in life.

weather conditions part was hilarious. as a licensed drone pilot in a America, i have lost count of the amount of times i checked the weather before i left my house, 0% chance of rain, then get to site, and it starts raining anyways.
Damn batteries, always have to run out when you most need them! Excellent as always guys!
NZ Post must be using these at them moment. Had a parcel take as long to get from their local distribution hub to a pick up point, 20 min away, as it did for DHL to get it here from the US...

I work as a construction worker / road side maintenance…..and them pop up cones at 00:37 have me amazed, especially as most “civilians” / “pedestrians” DO NOT know how heavy the actual road “safety” cones are…..especially when a lorry drives at 80mph and the cone flies at you at like 100mph like a train tiddlywink lol
