Suddenly, Rowan's whole character makes sense to me, like feeling fleeting sympathy for a serial killer when you hear their abuse-filled origin story.
I love how he actually presses the space bar when typing because characters in movies never do that and it irks me! This whole thing is hilarious!!!

The writing in this skit was PHENOMENAL! Making the bot say just enough that it could be misinterpreted, but never really going outside what a normal chatbot would say.

What would have made this video very cool - or perhaps a follow up video...
Have Allan program ALICE for Rowan specifically. So if someone says they are Rowan, she gets into long, deep conversations with him, and how he should treat his staff better, maybe even give some pay bonuses, etc. This will tie up Rowan for hours so that he doesn't bother anyone. ALICE will remember details about Rowan and slowly progress the "romance". ALICE sends Rowan a photo (with some obvious copyright watermarks, but he won't pick up on it) and gets Rowan to buy more stuff from the store, if he wants to see more...
Then at the end, have Ben (or "Karen") come in with his little brother (or son, or husband), also named Rowan, and go off at the store for having a very graphic chatbot. All the while that Rowan is trying to pay for the online purchases.
That would be outrageous!

I was thinking they don't even need to customize Alice because Rowan is just that dumb. Instead Allen comes into Rowan's office questioning him why their profits are so low when they have been moving so much product. Then Byron comes in with an expensive product and Allen notices a hoard of merchandise behind Rowan as he is still trying to win Alice over lol.
So basically Rowan and Alan would be dating? 😂

Rowan was clearly wearing a wedding ring while typing, finding out that he's still so attached to his ex-wife and that's why he's looking for a connection really expands the range of his character.

Manager Rowan being weird and incompetent at humaning. My favourite :) Add a coda of Rowan telling Alan that he'd better treat Alice right, and look after her, or else, and it'd be perfect.
So cool to see details of Rowans life story uncovering. I like to see such subtle details that connect seamingly independent videos into a great story, such as this one where a viewer can, now, suggest that a tragical love story in the past led to the development of Rowans current character. Please, keep doing that, it gives the whole series a totally new dimension and depth. So cool.

Your writing gets better over time. That was excellently crafted, I actually don't think it's very easy to make a script that works with a chat AI.

Fun fact: this actually happened to some of the first chat algorithms. They tried to turn them off and people got upset
Fun fact, I knew someone with a chat bot in an old IRC channel that had developed such a good AI that someone else who didn't know it was an AI had a full on relationship with it for a month before someone told him.
Talking about ELISA? I still have the source code for that. Always amazing to see how such simple algorithms can fool human so completely.
Modern AI companion bots can do this way better though. Unlike Elisa, these bots are actually trained to always give the most sympathetic response to the people and a lot of lonely people will develop an actual connection with these bots despite knowing the objective fact that these bots don't really understand them. Makes me kinda look forward to the future when we could probably even give bodies to these bots lol. Ai companions might become extremely popular.
