Why Vinicius is the most HATED player in the world

  • Vinicius Jr. didn’t change that much. Since the very beginning of his career, the Real Madrid player takes on defenders, teases opponents, and plays the game with utmost joy. But none of this is enough to explain why the Brazilian is hated so much. Vinicius Junior has been targeted countless times in racially motivated attacks in Valencia, Barcelona, Valladolid, and even in Madrid over the last few years. And this is the story of his continuing fight against racism. He always scores, like against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, but the most important: He always give everything.

The issue with Vinicius in Spain, so people out of Spain can understand, is that he was not as good as today before 2020. There was a lot of Bullying towards him from Spanish media, especially one show called "El Chiringuito." Keep in mind that many Spanish football fanatics hate Real Madrid more than they love their own teams, to the point they will lose against Barcelona to give Barcelona a chance to beat Real Madrid in the League( this just happened recently in Atletico de Madrid VS Barcelona) So Said this it was a good thing to laugh on TV to Vinicius just because it was fun to hate on Real Madrid and Florentino's businesses decision buying this player.
Then Vinicius becomes essential for Real Madrid and a menace to every team in Spain. So they can't laugh anymore that he sends the balls to the fans instead of scoring goals. At this point, the entire Spanish Media incentivizes a hate campaign against Vinicius, making the fans believe he is a provocateur just because he dances when he celebrates goals. "El Chiringuito " Was the main show doing this every night to the point where one of their hosts made a racist commentary against Vinicius, calling him a "monkey" on TV. Until today, there have been more cases of journalists being racist or defending the recent behaviors that fanatics have against him just because... they hate Real Madrid more than anything, and They want to get Vinicius out of Spain

I think there are two sides to this. Vini being black and hated for this is obviously wrong on so many levels. Should never be accepted. On the other side Vini does have a tendency to provoke or be disrespectful. Even Kyle Walker told him after a rainbow flip to never try this again and there is other shananigans he does. On this personal level it is kinda for me like Suarez. What he did on the pitch sometimes made a lot of people not like him. Even if he is considered white. In essence, hate him because he is black is not okay, not like him because what he does on the pitch, absolutely justified. So even if he would play in a more "accepting" league I reckon he will get some heat.

What a great comment for the joy of football! This simple message should hit every heart. If Vinci doesn't have the right to play football as football should be played, then where are we? If we talk about skin colour, the humiliation of defenders, the demand for modesty, the rule of never celebrating too much, all that crap that's there to keep medium the size of life, then football is dead. Hate and money will win over the right to be happy. Perhaps it's naive to hope that a stadium should offer a 90 minute break from the world outside, but if not, then what's the point of buying a ticket? The anger and the pathetic gestures are offered for free outside the stadium.

He will do tricks just as Cristiano Ronaldo , Ronaldinho, and many more did. He will score, he will assist, he will have dips in form, and he will be a human being.

Let's not glorify someone who is a victim of racism and is just calling out his abusers; that should be the norm. It is supposed to be a rational documentation of what the player goes through as a player of a different race. Both sides should be held responsible for their actions. The actions of racists should be punished as they deserve and Vini should be advised to concentrate on playing his football instead of all the extra things he does. If he is responsible for provoking fans you can not expect them to be silent and he should better believe that they would go the extra mile to make him feel that rage.
Imho all he did was kinda intensify his own situation and other important young players of different races from different teams being targeted because of this whole situation like Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams and so on. It is not a black or white situation; these are situations that should be dealt with tact and with adult supervision seeing how he is still young. Him calling out people will only intensify the insults with no real way to actually prevent future cases.
I understand there is deeply rooted racism in Spain still and he wants to call out the injustice dealt to him but people with set mentalities don't change just like that. It takes generations of education and awareness to actually let people transition. Its much bigger than La Liga and what they can do. They can punish the people who are in the wrong but if that intensifies the insults then frankly they can't ever control the situation and at the least it is out of the player's grasp. My best advice to the individual as a fellow person from a different race is to let it blow over and disregard the opinions of people who don't respect you as a person. Deal it like an adult who has learnt to grow up. It is necessary to understand his limits and let people handle the talks now that he has gained major support. Yeah surely he can talk and talk about the same issue but it will just dilute his point with the surrounding noise. I hope he comes out of this with a better career and a lifetime of achievements which would make a far impressive statement like many other athletes who has done similiar things.

As always Spanish media was the shit stirrer in this conflict. After Vini celebrated a goal by dancing (which is totally normal in Brazil) the media was calling him disrespectful, which created the idea that Vini is a disrespectful player. The terrible referring in Spain is just the tip of the iceberg.
