4 days with my 2016 Honda Civic EX-T in lunar silver and I love it. Still waiting for 600miles to fully break in the new engine and CVT transmission. Also the volume knob isn't a problem you get used to it. But I wish I had power seats and lumbar adjustments. :(

Leased my 2015 SI since new ( my third Civic since 2003 ) which I absolutely love and have decided to purchase rather than lease a new 2019 since I don't care for the newer generation. The newer generation has gotten larger looking and more like an Accord. The overall styling not as 'clean' as the previous. The newer model despite the improvements has lost that smooth, clean sculptured look for an abundance of overdone edges, creases and angles going in every direction, too much of a mixed bag and not as sporty looking. The previous generation has a more overall 'coherent' look. Still great cars but I feel the newer Civics and Accords have lost their individual style, now looking more similar to one another. However my son decided to up his 2015 EX to a 2019 EX and I do envy that built-in remote start though considering it's -19 out! LOL Great review! Just my two cents.
Seen one in person. It stands very tall and looks like the old Honda Crosstour but lowered. Love the rear tail lights, reminds me of the 91 Honda NSX.

I prefer the looks of the 9th gen because it's simple and clean especially the si, the new civic is just big, hopefully honda doesn't ruin the new si or type r coming out

Great review as always... a shame about the touch interface. The Euro version has physical buttons that still make it look pleasing to the eye. I'm hoping Honda ditches the touch panel soon!
Two days ago I got a 2015 EX coupe for 13,600. Only 20,000 miles! Was a steal. What sold me was the interior, feels like I'm entering a space ship and it's so much different from other cars that I've been in and own. Note my other two vehicles are 2016 and 2019!
I will admit the 10th gen looks better in the front though, much more appealing. Also the power and extra gas mileage is appreciated. I may consider the 11th gen towards the end of it's life span. Finally get me an Si

2022 is a bit better than the 10th gen, but still can't beat the 9th gen. 9th gen is definitely behind on tech nowadays.
my 2013 Civic EX has been getting 41 mpg on the hwy an that's without the Eco button... the 16's are very nice...

I like the 2015 better because the 2016 is too big for a compact car. It looks bigger than the Accord. I thought the Civic was a baby Accord.

Im not 100% but i believe the 2016 model is wider than usual because they wanted a more 'sporty' look and feel. I personally would still get a Coupe version though.

I wanted to tell you I found an amazing certified used 2014 Honda Civic Ex-L (without navi) and I absolutely love it! It's amazing how it handles compared to my 2013 lx. Amazing car! I've very happy! My lease was ending and I wanted to finance a good used car- there you have it!

I purchased 3months ago 2015 touring civic & that is 1173km only..but when I trade in to honda 2016 touring im very dissapointed because the honda dealership was said..if I trade in my car 2015 to 2016 I have 8k negative & it will be added to 2016 civic..its really hungry to the money..

Edward i have a few questions about these two honda civics... 1. Can i get a 2016 touring model civic with the 2015 civic's instrument panel (The two tiered dash with the speedometer up top), custom-made by the company? 2. If i can get the "instrument panel" custom made for the 2016 model, can i get it both the speedometer on top and the bottom analogue speedometer digitally? 3. Lastly can both the cars engines get upgraded to increase speed, like increasing the 2015's or 2016's engine from 1.8 to 2 and above or the 2016's turbo charged engine from 1.5 to anything beyond?
engine size doesn't matter, and I don't believe they will custom make a car for anybody unless you have an extra 50k to spare

The 2.0 L is not turbo charged in the EX model and lower. I have the 16 with the 2.0l GDI naturally aspirated.
I like the new model I have a 2010 honda coupe ex with a CD player the new models accord and civic why not
2016 has no CD player though... 2015 has it
I like the 9th Gens better... it looks functional as a car... the 10 Gens was so fucused in styling that they have fake vents and longer hood that made it look like its a FR car even though its not... I prefer the driver centric instrumentation of the 9th Gens compared to the Generic instrumentation of the 10th Gen

Reliability will increase now that it's being made in Mexico. Everyone in the us is a pothead and go to work high and lazy.

I love honda and will only drive a honda but i think they are overdoing it a little with the body lines, sometimes simpler is more appealing and classic
This is a biased review... Electronic E-Brake is a plus!? Manual E-Brake is better in everyway... heres the disadvantages on the 10th Gen... its wider and longer, its a compact sedan not a midsize...and its turbocharged... while its great for making power that will never be as reliable as an NA engine... and turbo has a little lag compared to NA... that was not discussed... i mean all the technology is good but driving experience is subjective so is the interior, the 10th gen is more modern? but didnt really show on camera a comparison between the two... this is just more to up sell the 10th gen
Just wait until the 11th gen Civic is released, the 10th gens are gonna get a massive price drop, not worth it to buy the 9th gen rn
Unfortunately for 9th gen.
Every civic is dead to meafter the 9th gen after they dropped the unique dashboard. If you were to show me the 10th or 11th gen dashboards without telling me it was a civic I would have never guessed, way to generic.
Edit: ok 10th gen still looks much better than the 11th.
The 9th generation Civic is the most bland uninspired car with a stupid shallow front bonnet that gives the front-on appearance of a minivan. The 10th gen brings back that flair and relevance missing since the 6th generation Civic. They have got progressively worse since then, but finally a return to form.

Tesla is cheaper long term and with the govt incentives and the taxes on the Civic fully loaded will have more taxes etc. Idk I'm pretty excited for Tesla's id rather give my money to a man who is developing sustainable technology. And an electric motor is 1000x more reliable and powerful than a gas motor even with the new turbo motors

Personally i don't like the 16, looks like a hatchback. Also it has to much detail and the chrome in the front is too much. It's a bit nice that they add more horsepower but don't like how they made it more like Accord than Civic. I also highly doubt saves more gas with supercharge. Overall it's more like a hatchback mixed with Accord...doesn't catch my mind of being Civic. I'll pass.
The rear end kills it for me. I'll keep my 8 gen a while longer and maybe try a Accord or Camry.
