This review is very well done. No only do you describe features in a manner that clear and easy to understand but you also touch on areas that everyday drivers are interested in. TY
This car is really amazing. I cannot wait for the coupe, Si, and Type-R versions! This seriously bodes well for the next generation ILX, if it will still be based on the Civic. And wow, this is the first place I've seen the new Civic in black and it looks stunning. Great job, Honda.
drove a EXL today and i was surprised. the car is really quiet, no bumps or clunk sounds from the wheels when you go over uneven roads. the trunk and doors shut with a heavy solid smooth feel. the car feels plants to the ground, no wobble or floating, it feels like a 3 series. and it has some pull too, you can feel the turbo.....that was i big selling point, trust me you can pull out on the highway with traffic a feet away. the seats are REALLY low inside that you feel like you're in a coupe, can't see out the back. its just so sturdy and smooth
+raph ramirez From the side & front..lol. It looks like a freaking Accord..lol. It looks so long. But I dont mind the side & front styling. Ugly back lights & overall back trunk though. Great they finally changed the whole Civic. But still I thought it could have been done better.
This car looks so nice! And especially with Android Auto built in (and Waze for Android Auto possibly coming), this car definitely hits the top of my list for new cars! Well done, Honda!
+Mathieu Riesling Its huge now..lol. From the side & front view. It looks like an accord..lol. Back is ugly. Especially with the lights. Agree the Civic looks too big. But they final changed the overall car. Which is nice. If a small family wants to buy something thats good on gas but has lots of room. I think the civic is good enough. Not needed to buy an accord. But for single people or couples. I think the new Civic is too big. not small & sporty.
+Daniel Deschamps Haha. I guess it's the Canadian beer. I do see some NSX DNA in the hood still mind you I am having a beverage right now. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
I have a 2010 honda cr-v ex bought it new and until now never use the volume knob on the dash always used the volume control on the steering is much easier, other then that is a great review.
exterior skulpting of artistic attributions & style appears to be more crash absorb condusive at least & "seats" socket & conform more condusively to human body & crumple absorbing areas. thats what I reference however probably the best looking Civic from the last 2
Great review, Brian. I currently drive a Civic and I've been thinking about upgrading to this new generation but having seen it in person at my local dealership I wasn't blown away by the infotainment system. It's too Android-looking and is probably based on Android. It's just not my cup of tea. Don't mean to start a holy war but I prefer VW's infotainment system seen in their latest gen models. That combined with the (still) questionable looks will likely steer me towards the Golf GTI.
+Alexander Lee Absolutely ,VW blows it out of the water in terms of everything , Mazda 3 is a much better car too... People who don't know cars or are sponsored by Honda seem to rave about this thing... it is sad.
Most of Honda buyers are not almost same kind of buyers as Toyota buyers, looking for a good appliance not a car designed with driving priority in mind. Sorry but best selling has nothing to do with best, at least not in US where Civic and Borolla absolutely dominate sales....
Makes me wonder why you should get an Acura ILX or similar. Besides the engine, I feel the overall package of the Touring is better. I mean seriously....rear heated seats? Not even my 2015 Accord has front heated seats.
I have the 2016 accord touring and my car didn't come with the wireless charging pad which is not fair being that I paid 36k for it and it is the touring. I actually like this civic better than my accord.
Great Review I love the way it looks my next car I think, Do you know when the red will be coming? looked on Honda Canada website and can't see the red you are in I would like to get the touring like you are in and like the red never saw a blue either do you know if they are a later release??
+foodnut A little bit of bad new for you. The red color that I'm showing on this Touring model is a US model. This red will reserved for the sportier models in Canada. Probably the coupe or Si. Sorry.
+farhad hamza it seems that way if you do not know what sporty is, design is one problem but CVT can not be worked around , tiny 1.5 liter with turbo will not last more than 5-7 yrs...
1) 2016 Scion iA 2) 2016 Honda fit 3) 2016 Honda Civic 4) 2016 Mazda3. I am having trouble deciding on what car I should get. I have shortened the list down to these 4 cars. If I were to purchase any one of these cars, it would be the base model and automatic. What do you guys think? Which car would you choose and why? Thanks for the feedback. I can't decide!
All depends on your budget and size required. The Scion and Fit are smaller than the Civic and Mazda. For me, I like the Fit for a smaller car because I find the rear magic seats really handy and for a larger car I would probably go for the Civic because i like the styling and features plus it's hard to go wrong with a Honda. I grew up owing Honda Civics and they were very reliable.
'm going to be buying a new Civic on Monday. Is it really worthwhile to get the Touring, above the EX with Honda Sensing? I'm leaning toward the latter but am curious to hear what folks think. Thanks.
I really don't get it. What are the reasons why some reviewers like to have volume knob. All the controls are already on the steering wheel. It is safer to use your fingers to find the control on the steering wheel than looking/reaching for the knob.
+Chummy Chime Maybe call me old school. I find sometimes, the redundant volume controls on the steering wheel are not ideally placed and I find myself having to look at the wheel to make sure I hit the right one. Even my own car, the volume button is not ideally placed, I wish the volume was placed in the dominant position rather than most cars have the station and source buttons in the best spots. Also I just prefer a round dial to control volume, just feels faster. Volume knobs are also more practical for the passenger. Anyways, I do not disagree with your statement, Just a pet peeve of mine.
+Everyday Reviews I understand people are used to volume knobs....but...with Hondas system you can select your volume level with just two clicks: the first shows the bar to the right, then click directly (on the bar) the volume level you want... If the volume is on zero you don´t need to swipe it up all over till it reaches the maximun. Just click on the top of the bar...Its easier then rolling the knob all over to the right!
Robert Drake they get these cars lent to them by the manufacturer. Obviously they want to show off their best version of the model so the manufacturer gives them the top model almost always.
Any idea on pricing difference here in Canada compared to U.S.? I think the prices were announced earlier this week for U.S. but no word on us Canadians
@ Charlie Wang I'm guessing about 2.8 million loonies? Of course my conversion from US to Canuck might be off a bit. Love your last name though.....lol. Better than paging "Mike Hunt" over an airport loud speaker system.
@ Charlie Wang I'm guessing about 2.8 million loonies? Of course my conversion from US to Canuck might be off a bit. Love your last name though.....lol. Better than paging "Mike Hunt" over an airport loud speaker system.
Hey man, Im very interested in this car, however i am 6'3". Was wondering if you can give me any insight as to whether this would be suitable for me or if I should lean more towards an accord.
+Cameron Cutler Honda has typically been very accommodating to taller drivers. I used to own a 2004 civic and I loved it. I'm 6'5'' and there was plenty of room for me as a driver. However, you wouldn't want to sit behind me.
+chirsh123 Sorry but it's a big deal for me. I want myself or a passenger to be able to control the volume , mute etc without any concern on if I'm in the middle of a turn or parking. Steering wheel controls should be totally redundant in my opinion. Even steering wheel volume controls are a PITA unless they're dials. Different strokes for different folks. I know this would not be an issue for someone like my dad who doesn't listen to anything on the system at all. Anyways, I just wanted to clarify why I complained over this issue as it's just my opinion. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
You have to do a better job in showing the trunk. You know it is dark inside and it is difficult to shoot. But this is not your first time doing it, so there is no excuse in showing a blob of black mass on the screen and calls it job done. It is just not a professional presentation.
+MetaView7 You're absolutely right. Only excuse I have is that I only had about 15 min to do cutaways. I even had to use a dirty Civic for the closing. Still no excuse. Thanks for watching and the comment.
I'm going to buy one. And I'm sure.
Me too
me three
+John Blue why its ugly and their junk now...CVT transmission, enough said!
i don't have money :D am gonna steal one :P
The 2016 4 door Honda Civic in Blue and Red looks amazing.
This review is very well done. No only do you describe features in a manner that clear and easy to understand but you also touch on areas that everyday drivers are interested in. TY
I can't believe how great it looks from the back
Said no one ever.
I'm jealous of all the tech this car has, it puts my A3 to shame.
omg. me too. I thought the A3 was the best entry sedan but the civic proved us wrong
+vh9network it put my Mazda 3 "codo" to shame.
+vh9network , plesae .... don't make me laugh
k domster
*Shao Kahn:* HUH HA HA HA HA!
Exactly :) Buy a Civic and I will laugh at you....
This car is really amazing. I cannot wait for the coupe, Si, and Type-R versions! This seriously bodes well for the next generation ILX, if it will still be based on the Civic. And wow, this is the first place I've seen the new Civic in black and it looks stunning. Great job, Honda.
Good one Brian.
Class to congratulate other reviewers
👏

This is a very good review. A short and compact review that tell all the important need to know basis for new Civic .
, I love the way you talking come keep it up I saw a lot of CZcams car dealers I don't like the way they explain the cars
This is so nice. Can't imagine how the ILX will top this.
I just purchased the EXL...I love this car.
Thanks Brian. Great video - I can't wait for the rest of the line-up to show up
The volume control is on the steering wheel!
what a great review
Thank you
+crzdbiker 8565 Such an amazing video...i love it
this honestly looks like a fantastic car. I wish I could buy one
+Maverick5588 NO YOU DON'T YOUR LUCKY YOUR POOR
The instrument cluster and touch-screen look better here on the Civic than it does on the new NSX, WTH?!?!?!?!
Civic is back bitchesss!!!
lol
+raph ramirez From the side & front..lol. It looks like a freaking Accord..lol. It looks so long. But I dont mind the side & front styling. Ugly back lights & overall back trunk though.
Great they finally changed the whole Civic. But still I thought it could have been done better.
+Justin Yau of course , thing is weird and hideous
+k domster You MUST BE HIGH.
Let me speak your language, Civic is ugly ass high , that's it.
What a beautiful country , Canada is the most beautiful country to live .... in my opinion .
The perfect design
...great come back
the rear side view is like a crosstour, the honda model that did not sell well :D
This car looks so nice! And especially with Android Auto built in (and Waze for Android Auto possibly coming), this car definitely hits the top of my list for new cars! Well done, Honda!
I actually liked it when it was smaller but I like the new tech.
+Mathieu Riesling Its huge now..lol. From the side & front view. It looks like an accord..lol. Back is ugly. Especially with the lights. Agree the Civic looks too big.

I kinda see a bit of the Acura NSX, whatever your drinking pass it on. Other than that comment, good review.
+Daniel Deschamps Haha. I guess it's the Canadian beer. I do see some NSX DNA in the hood still mind you I am having a beverage right now. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
+Everyday Reviews Hoping to get 1 of those and change those rear bumpers to center slim exhaust with rear downwards spoiler as in the concept.
Beast civic ever...period.😎👍
Nice video! This is high on my list for my next vehicle. My biggest wish is that the 6 speed gear box was available on the touring model.
+theNSXman I agree who wants a CVT in any model?
+theNSXman I guess they figure that if you're interested in a Touring model with a 6 speed, you'd be the perfect candidate for the Si coming out.
great interior and exterior ..classic
Such a tease, showing us that beautiful red that isn't available in Canada :( Great review!
It will be I remember when the 06 came out we didn't get it first year but then we got them the year after
Precise and concise. Excellent review
Clear cut review! Thank you
Just subscribed...always a great review! Wish the styling weren't so jumbled! Thanks!
6.09 look! Squirrel!!
A beautiful car ! When in Europe,I wonder_
very well done! Honda and presenter.
That's what I needed!
Great review!
One curious question though, why do people buckle the backseat belts sometimes even when they're not in use?
Looks like a winner!
I have a 2010 honda cr-v ex bought it new and until now never use the volume knob on the dash always used the volume control on the steering is much easier, other then that is a great review.
civic turbo 5 door hatch...yes please
exterior skulpting of artistic attributions & style appears to be more crash absorb condusive at least & "seats" socket & conform more condusively to human body & crumple absorbing areas.
thats what I reference however probably the best looking Civic from the last 2
or 3 making the 4th most appealing
Great job Honda! great review.
Good job on the review!
Great review, Brian.

+k domster VW IS A FAKE AND MAZDA IS WAYYYYYY TO EXPENSIVE FIR WHAT IT OFFERS.
I don't think you know what you are talking about...
+k domster Really? And why IS THAT?

Fantastic review, well done!
Great review Brian. Just one correction Apple CarPlay does support turn by turn navigation.
Thanks. CarPlay does support turn by turn navi on the main screen in the Civic but it doesn't display in the tft gauge display like Android auto.
+Everyday Reviews Ah that's what you were referring to. That's good to know. Thanks.
+Everyday Reviews I watched the video again my apologies I missed that point. Good to know though.
No worries. Believe me, I make mistakes. Just not this time.
I know it's not a hatch but with those rims I see a bit of rs7 in the design
+kje123able You know I mentioned that I thought it looked like a mini A7 and someone thought I was nuts. I agree with you.
I have the 2016 accord touring and my car didn't come with the wireless charging pad which is not fair being that I paid 36k for it and it is the touring. I actually like this civic better than my accord.

+Everyday Reviews how much is it and does Honda finance people with bad credit.currently working on credit repair.
I want this car so bad
WHEN IS THE HATCH COMING BACK??? need a new car but don't want to wait too long for the hatch
+TUBESTEAKNIG All the different iterations are supposed to be out within the next 18 months.
+Everyday Reviews Nice review and thanks! But does the turbo engine take regular or premium fuel???
on2060
+Doug Celeste regular
+crazy wheel Thanks for that info!
Looking very sporty..
+farhad hamza it seems that way if you do not know what sporty is, design is one problem but CVT can not be worked around , tiny 1.5 liter with turbo will not last more than 5-7 yrs...
great review bro
Wireless charging is Touring class only.
Nice review bro! Keep it up!
Mix between the gt86 and the new mazdas
But i like it
This is Honda Civic?
+Oo2k10 no, that's a prius hahaha
1) 2016 Scion iA 2) 2016 Honda fit 3) 2016 Honda Civic 4) 2016 Mazda3.

Mini Acura NSX I would say.
Very good videos

OMFG available It looks for me like truly! rah principle ! !

This car kicks ass man ❤️

I hear there is NO adjustable lumbar support for the driver. That is too bad.
great car welldone guys
beautiful
I nice review I wait for the type R
Subscribed.
Awesome !
I'm still wondering, is it a blast to drive or just nice.
+Tom will it has a CVT transmission, so no its not fun to drive and its ugly as hell.
It's coming to Pakistan in July. Yayyyyy!
But as always they are going to sell us featureless civics. None of the cool gadgetry.
show de bola esse novo Honda!
Its always "top of the line". When I hear that now, I turn off the video. Show me the base models.
Robert Drake they get these cars lent to them by the manufacturer. Obviously they want to show off their best version of the model so the manufacturer gives them the top model almost always.
I love your voice

When will it be launched in India?
2017 may be.
nice video
tht is one hot car!!
When will Ontario dealers start receiving the 2016?
How is the road noise level? I hate older version because of too much of road noise.
+sowjanya kalidindi its even louder than before with its new shit cvt transmission
nice
It really is nice. It is way more of a premium car now than it was ever before. Can't wait to see the other models.

thanks man, im likin the look of this a lot.
I don't think you'd have any problem with size. Best that you try it out first of course.
i love it
Mazda! they are the japanese leaders in styling .. this car looks out of proportion on the C pillars due to sloping lines
+gestapo9 It looks worse when you see it in person..
Is it true that there is a recall on this car? ??
Everyday Reviews where do you live?
Hi Juan, I'm located on the West Coast of Canada.
this vs 2014 scion FRS idk which one
Avaible in Germany ?? or usa only?
I believe it will be worldwide.
what is the sound systme in this car?
It would look way cooler if Honda let their dual exhausts show instead of hidden it on the 1.6T motor. Small with Mazda3 i Sport model. LOL
is the type R coming to America
Yes, we will be getting the Type R. Super exciting.
no hybrid?
in vancouver?
Vancouver area.
thanks
vtc or vtec??
The side profile feels very unbalanced and awkward 4:58
no rear end
black interior big dust magnet!
could all reviewers please get over the fact that there is not a volume control knob? The control is located on the steering wheel. Get over it!
+chirsh123 Sorry but it's a big deal for me. I want myself or a passenger to be able to control the volume , mute etc without any concern on if I'm in the middle of a turn or parking.
