I work at the factory in greensburg, indiana. I put the seats in the car. Hope everyone enjoys the safe quality cars we produce everyday. Thank you all!
Awww thank you for your service, of helping to keep us safe! 🙏🏾💕✨
I have a 2017 thank u 🙏🏽
Thank you 🙏🏼 , I have a 2018
I have a modern steel metallic Gray color 2020 Civic Sport Sedan with the manual transmission and 2.0 NA motor.
Such a great daily driver and value 👍🏻
Thank you!
Thanks Rick i was the new model engineer there til oct 2019. Good job flipping and getting those in.
Why am I watching this, I don't even have a Honda
Ry Zeus in future? :) even me im watching it even tho I dont have honda civic, coz sooner if my dad will get here ill tell him to buy me this 2016 civic or wait for the 2017 civic :)
Xavier Pawa congrats man
Xavier Pawa Just got mine a week ago. So far an amazing car.
Ry Zeus wondered that myself. But i've got a Honda motorcycle though.
Ry Zeus that's means you really want one. Lol
Still one of my favorite Honda videos I’ve done! Its helped so many Civic Owners 👍👍
I just want to spend a whole day trying these new things on my car
I tried rolling down my windows on my 2017 civic si but it didn't work 😂😭 great video also enjoy the hidden trunk release!!
Trunk latch was a new feature for me. Thx
So I noticed on other push start vehicles there is a cover behind the steering wheel that you can use to start your vehicle with of your push start isn’t working. Do these Honda’s have that type of feature?
Yes for sure! Your awesome thank you!!!
The windows going down with the key was pretty mind blowing to me
Fluffy Panda it does it i think with every honda and Acura it does it with my 2006 tl
My Mercedes has it
Fluffy Panda it's been around in a BMW since 06
My 06 Civic si has that lol
+Danny V Thats bcos thats high end vehicles. Lexus and acura n other japanese car companies are more expensive or about the same as merc or bmw, etc
Watching this video makes me realize how wonderfully simple my 05 Civic is.
My daughter has and 06 with 220,000 miles. Staying away from 16-20 Civics. 12 to 15s seem less techy.
@@robertstv8045 My mom had an 06 that she sold at around 130K and it was a pretty good car. It had far more problems than my 05, but most of the problems were covered under warranty and it never left us stranded. My 05 has 254K miles on it right now and I am never getting rid of it, that's the car I grew up in and the car that got me into fixing and modding cars. The fact that I have the ability to fix whatever goes wrong myself without needing to pay a mechanic to fix it makes keeping an older car a practical option for me.
@@averyalexander2303 Cool. My daughter is selling her O6. Told her stay clear of 16-20 with CVTs, Turbos and lots of tech. 12-15s are still auto trans and a nice step up from 2006-11s.
amen to simplicity. nine SIX ♥️
This explains why I constantly see these on the roads. Pretty dope!
I just bought one in summer, amazing car so far.
@@Carlos-qu8ue same!!
Thank you! I've been driving Civics for 30 Years. Never had an issue with the 8 vehicles I've had over that period of time. Only had to replace a wheel bearing and I never had to replace the brakes since 1997; tires the most. The most mileage I've had on one of them was over 100,000kms after 5 yrs. I now drive a 2019 Civic.
You didn’t change your brake pads since the year I was born? 😳
@@dakotap1488 Well since he trade in his civic for a new model.
The easter egg should just have been a bonus, I just figured out a week ago that you can actually adjust the brightness of your dash if you twist the dash knob, you know, where you press the Trip A/Trip B button.
Still love this video
Still love!
You’re part of the reason I bought a Honda
I'm not gonna lie, I love Honda AANND MY Honda but I want to love Honda Like HondaPro Jason!!!
Great video, Jason - lots of very useful tips. I spend way too much time on the CivicX forum so I knew all of these except for the tach removal and the extra instrument panel icons. I'll have to check out that average speed option and will probably remove other icons that I don't use for quicker navigation. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks Jason! Your bonus reboot of the audio system worked like magic! Was able to get my bluetooth to finally turn back on! Much appreciated!
I just found this on youtube. What a bonus for a elderly lady to have such good information. I am so happy. I have had my 2017 Honda Civic for over a year. Thank you.
You are so very welcome & happy to hear you are happy with your Civic :-)
It runs a heavily modified android OS.
Until you get into Detail Information
no , thats also part of the android overlay
Jonathan dalton but not heavily modified...
But it doesn't look like it is running the latest OS, looks pre-Lollipop.
rvind92g My 2017 is running 4.0. It's a bitch. and it is heavily modified.
They all surprised me, but then i drive a 2012 coupe. Have had no exposure to a 2016 until this vid. nice job Honda and nice demonstration.
Rickey Mitchell thank you so much
too good to be true
I had a 09 civic coupe. I bought a 2017 Honda civic ex-t coupe last week. It has so many awesome features
Just watching this after buying my 2020 honda civic sport! Thankyou❤️
Thank You and so glad you enjoyed it
Same haha
you just made my morning lol I'm about to try that wallpaper right now, n d remote windows😉 I love my car! ty!
thanks for the video. just purchased my first car, it was a 2016 EX-T sedan. one of the best choices I've ever made.
How's it holding up?
How do you feel about it now? Considering one
Another cool feature is that if your remote battery dies, all you need to do is use the key to get in, and to start the car simply hold the remote close to the start button and the car will recognize it and start the car, so there's no need to carry around a spare battery, which is a great feature!
This is our 4th civic, last one we drove it for around 16/17 years without any issues, bought 2018 civic and seems that they just keep making this cars consistently reliable, very happy with it and thanks for your video.....I just changed the skin, didn't know how to do it 👍
this video convinced me in getting a new Honda Civic (I've been wanting one for a while now)
thanks :3
Omg! I didn't know it was a hidden key inside the remote,an i purchased my car about a week ago.lol glad i've seen this video. Thanx.
Iyona Beard
Same here lol
every single push button car regardless of manufacturer will have the backup key. That way you can unlock the car in the event of a total power failure (dead battery). The key also releases the shift lever if your car needs to be towed and it has a dead battery. For the 16-newer civic, open the center console and feel the wall facing the shifter. When you locate the little hole, stick your key in there and at the same time, grab your shifter and move it into neutral. **Obviously this only refers to automatics**
This is sad
Pretty much all modern cars have that.
Ok boomer
I didn't realize you could change the wallpaper on the touch screen. That's awesome.
Thank you VERY much for taking the time to educate the masses. Unfortunately, the dealer I just bought my 2020 Civic from didn't show me any of these features! Thank you again!
Good video. Concise simple explanations with no unnecessary footage. Thank you.
Didn't know about the gas door. Pretty cool!
oh yea! Glad you liked it brother :-)
Hi Jason do you think item #3 is valid for Turkey too ? Please let me know by return. Thanks
It's on my 2008 vw tiguan, nothing special.
Old BMW tech
Yea me too. And that's really useful because sometimes people can steal petrol by sucking the petrol out using a tube
thanks for the tips.wich I just got my new civic ex-t.and I didn't know all that cool stuff.
The easter egg, windows down, extended remote start time, and the trunk release was all really cool, and helpful. Thank you for this video 😁
I didn't know about any of them, thanks very much for sharing!
Thanks a lot I didn't even know any of that
Everytime he does the "now you're in the know" at the end I cringe so hard. But thank you for the pointers, it helped me locate the manual trunk release thing in my 8th gen accord!
Wow, I am so impressed by what you all showed me. No dealer had shown this to me when I brought my new car so thank you and the next day I will need to check this all out. I am amazed by all of these!!!
Awesome work bro
The all things you mentioned surprised me .
Keep doing more videos please
The windows and sunroof got me....I had no clue.
I just bought this car and I am glad I saw your video!
Thanks for this, especially the extra 10 minutes auto start & window trick!
OMG. I learned so much about my civic thank you.
I can't believe that it's running Kitkat
that's the first thing i noticed when he got into detailed settings lol
is that a good thing or bad thing? serious question lol is it outdated or actually good tech?
Outdated. Kitkat is the 4.0 version of android while the current version is 6.0
+HUBEMX AB ice cream sandwich is android 4.0, kk is 5.0
iPhone 5s typical iPhone user. KK = 4.4
Hey Jason. Make sure tell your viewers about the 2016 to 2018 AC problem. I did some reading and found out I and thousands of loyal honda civic buyer got screw with the AC blowing hot air, while still under 3 years warranty or expired warranty. There is an class action lawsuit on this big issue. Your review on the 10th gen civic gave me the green light and made the purchase. I am regretting it now
All points were great
Thanks for making this video
Interesting
You got me with the auto windows with key and buttons! Thank you!! Video was great!
Thanks for the tips, I'm actually purchasing a 2016 EX-L this week.
Awesome and great choice
Good choice. I bought 4 months back. It will make you feel the new style and attractive model
I bought a 2018 couple of months ago (exl) and i like it so much more than thw previous 2015 civic SE
Guys, how is the Honda Civic 1L saloon model experience? Good and bad??
Chilly613 hows the car working for you? Still have it? Just trying to see how the car was for u and the experience since im planning on buying one at the dealer
when stopped, if you swipe down from the top you'll get the android menu like on a phone or tablet
wow! 9 things surprised me just the last i already know Thanks for video
You just taught me something new about the sunroof on my 2010 TSX. I didn't know that you could push that button and sure enough it worked to tilt my sunroof thank you.
nice and informative video
thank you
After 4.5 years of owning a Honda Civic... I just learned these cool tricks! 🤦🏻♀️
Awesome! Thanks for staying #InTheKnow
How are you liking your Honda Civic? I just bought the 2016 Honda Civic LX
Just now seeing this... Thanks Jason. I did not know about the keyless remote windows up/down thing... I love it.
I literally just bought a 2017 Civic Hatchback EX yesterday and all 10 of these things I had no idea about. Thanks!
You can also just tap and hold anywhere on a blank part of the home screen to change the wallpaper.
I just figured out a week ago that you can actually adjust the brightness of your dash if you twist the dash knob, you know, where you press the Trip A/Trip B button. I keep lashing out why my parent’s CR-V automatically has their brightness lowered when it’s nighttime while mine is always on full brightness all the time.
Alex McKenzie awesome! I want a beach scene! Do they have one somewhere or do l have to figure out how to upload one?
I think the 2018 Accord will be based on this car because Honda is going to integrate their whole lineup into one platform...pretty amazing. Last time I checked, the Accord was always 1 step ahead of the Civic in terms of body styling (9th Civic sharing styling cues from the 8th Accord and so forth). This is probably the reason the current Civic is doing so well with critics.
it's really useful information.I Don't know 4 of them. Thanks a lot.
Prettu good thanx! I knew half of it, but the most precious new was knowing about the manual trunk release. Thanx
#1 drove me crazy, I had no idea why my gas cap wasn't opening at first!
I definitely didn't know about the windows!! Amazing!!!
one of my favorites
I have a 2017 l love my car!
This was AWESOME! Thx for sharing!
Hey man I’m new to your channel, pretty awesome video keep up the great work. I’m interested in buying a Honda Civic, so this video was totally educational for me. Thank you.
Thank you it is helpful for me since I just purchased a Honda Civic LX yesterday. Great car love it.
Can you do one for the new hatchback too? Thanks!!!
Great video. I was shopping Accords but looking at Civics, too. They've just about thought of everything
I appreciate the info especially making the Instrument Panel less intimidating/the reboot/the trunk access Just got a 2017 EX-T MT coupe yesterday and there's so many features that it can be overwhelming. This video will help me enjoy more features faster and with less frustration. (say that fast 3 times!)
6:42 RIP fingerprints
I get the same thing sometimes, it just peels and you have to use a special cream to heal it.
ewwwwww
I tried to respond to honda pro jason but.. when adding + to his name it wasn't an option am I doing it wrong or does he have it disabled?
Lack of vitamin A
pstash78 actually it is dry jizz or maybe even elmers glue lol
Never knew Honda infotainment ran on Android.
looks like a tablet installed in dash 😂
its about time someone used android for the center dash system.
even in the 9th gen civic, it's an android tablet
Kinda sucks though, they used the lowest amount of ram so it can lag at times. That's at least my experience with my Civic, idk about the Accords or other Hondas
igeekone It runs on Linux.
Just bought a 2018.. this was all very helpful! Thank you!
i figured out the Tach but I had no clue about the rest as far as the infotainment system goes....I knew about the windows and the sunroof opening up with the remote...awesome video...luv my 16 Civic Ex...I've been driving Ex Civics since 11....wow!! what a difference....gonna go sit in my car and take this video with me....lol...thanks Jason...
That was a real Easter egg!! I wonder if that's in my 2019 SI!!!!
Well is it ?????
are u jason statham lost brother?
yes he is
Nope he is jhonny sins lost brother
Honda is the QUEEN >>>♥
good question
krishka tan its not called u it’s called you
Thanks man! just bought my 2018 Honda Civic Touring and i really love it! Thanks for this video!
love the open windows with remote was very helpful,,,, thx
I've had my 2016 for 3 years. I knew none of them!
why the extra process to use the key to roll up the windows, would've been easier for Honda to program the LOCK function on the key fob...
creativecomm
Agreed. My 2004 BMW 330Ci did exactly this with the let fov, I'm glad Honda added this feature.
i loved the video.. and your attitude.
keep it light
Video was better than I was thinking. Good info
didn't know I could make my windows go down with the key!!!! I have so much to learn about my new car 😄😀
So break the honda window press release switch and get into person trunk. Perfect
Woohoo score an umbrella or a picnic blanket..
Davin DeJong battery dead wont lock doors smart guy
Just want to give you a big shout out and thank you! Not one of these things that you just taught me was offered by the dealer! I'm 54 and this Honda Civic 2018 is my very first brand new car. My sales person knew this the manager knew this but not one of them offered any of this information you just gave me. I have now subscribed! Thank you! Shelley
Got my Civic couple months ago and only knew about 2 things on the list. Thanks for sharing! I really wanted to know how to tilt the sunroof lmao!!
How do you add your own pictures on as a wallpaper or background
You add them via the usb that also has a tablet icon .
Download them onto usb drive then behind console on drivers side is HDMI and USB with tablet icon. That usb is connected to Honda entertainment system. Put your usb into that and it should read wallpapers in menu
I wish it had a cd player.
Not gunna lie I started this video thinking I new everything but was surprised with a couple things. Well done mate
thank you
This was beyond awesome! Thanks Jason 👍👍👍
I didn't know sh**
LOL
+HondaPro Jason Honda never ceases to amaze
+Joel Mendez can't wait for the type r review
I didn't know you can lower the windows with your remote. Thanks.
Thanks for the video, I only knew 3 of them. Very useful tips.
The remote start extension is a new one for me! Thank You Honda Pro Jason!
👊🏼
awesome
thank you
hadi abdullah allahu akbar
That Easter egg thoee
yup
I did not know about the Easter egg in the console or the feature to roll down the windows from the thob. Really great stuff thank you for the video
Just purchased my 2016 Civic EX. Thank you for these tips!
I knew the Easter egg one......because you told me. lol
lol
Such a Honda Fanboy - Roman Mica 😜
Thank you! This was very helpful.
Great explanation! Thank you.
I might get a honda accord for my next car
good choice. I'm looking into a civic this year because i like good gas mileage
+Kathryn Davidson same and the accord and civic are sexy as hell
+JTundra that is true. the only difference really is that civic gets better gas. I'm transitioning jobs and I want a car that doesn't cost alot so I'm just looking into the ex model
+Kathryn Davidson cant go wrong with honda i always say
great choice
Tip: you accidentally lock the car and yiu forget your key fob in the trunk and close it. Oh oh! Its OK! The car senses the key fob in the trunk and won't close the trunk!
stevemichelle1203 I like this feature so much it saved me twice from locking out
Are you serious? The trunk will not lock if the key fob is in the trunk? Cool feature, if this is a true statement.
RedondoBeach2 it’s a true statement
Doors dont lock with key in either but it is an option u can turn off as well
It's a true statement, a few weeks ago I moved and had boxes in my trunk and my trunk would not close (my main key was in my pocket) and after a decent amount of time I realised my spare key was in one of the boxes..... took it out and it closed.
I had no Idea!!! great & Thanks
Great video bro! This thing's very important, thanks.
don't forget the Claymore airbags. if the crash doesn't kill you, the Honda airbag will try to finish the job with shrapnel coming at you
Tan N feeeuck !!!
You like Honda? You're my new friend
Man this video was great! I just got a 2017 Civic Hatchback, and this is just what I've been looking for!
ive had a 16 civic for a few months now. didn't know about the manual trunk release or the ability to extent the remote start time, very helpful
