Which Kirby game do you want us to stack up against Kirby Star Allies in March?
Epic Yarn
Commonwealth Realm Kirby 64! Crystal shards has always been my favorite
Dream Land 3 maybe?
Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland or Kirby's Dreamland 2.
Also, Nintendo really should think about adding that Jet Fighter battle from the Bayo 2 Prologue as a Stage for the next Smash Bros game. Imagine 2 to 4 or 8 players battling it out on a fast Jet fighter flying around what looks like New York City.
Kirby Amazing Mirror (Gameboy Advance)
I'd say Bayo 1 has better boss fights than 2, specially the final boss. They're harder, more complex in places. No hand to hand combat in 2 comes close to the Jeanne fight and the end with Balder and Jubileus is just way ahead boring Aesir. I love both games to death and I just beat 2 on Switch, by the way.
Nah bayonetta 1 only had a better final boss battle. Every other fight in bayonetta 2 was better.
Eh not really. They were awesome but the vs. Jeanne fights were epic and the QTEs had me on edge. Bayonetta 2 has the least replay value from my perspective.
Ryan Johnson Nah the QTE's were overplayed in bayo 1. Every fight I had in 2 was just way more memorable, especially with demons thrown into the mix. With the exception of Jubileus, that fight was fucking awesome.
GimmieDatCake yea those were cool. I just really hated the combat mechanics. They scrapped taunt offset, most enemies shake off wicked weaves, and its damn near impossible to make extensive combos because many of the bosses phase through hits. It becomes less combo based and more button mash based.... I blame Umbran climax for that
2 has better bosses but 1 definitely had a better final boss
6:39 The graveyard battle?
Dude the intro to Bayonetta is Umbra Clock Tower, which is incredible.
If you're really gonna go there then Bayo 2 still beats the "Intro" Bayo and her mom falling from the sky fighting angels AND demons AND she rides a fuckin tank weapon! C'mon Bayo 2 definitely wins.
@@IorekB92 I felt it was pointless. Bayo 2 put that scene in because the first game had it. It served no purpose other than to spoil Balder. In Bayo 1 the Clock Tower was in medias res. It served a purpose. Not in 2, though.
@@xacmashe3852 both were set pieces to foreshadow and set tone while impressing with hype. Both do that in spades, arguably more in 2 tho I have more nostalgia for 1
Forced storytelling during a combat sequence where you need to pay attention to enemies and not a voice in the background or some subtitles is dogshit. That's a cardinal sin of game design imo and it makes that part irritating.
@@TheAustin007powers depends on how it’s done. Is it like classic God of War (I think) where it dumps everything on you when you need to be paying attention in the hardest fights, or is it more subtle and momentary things and remarks like something out of Yakuza? I personally think that if it’s the latter then not only is it okay for the game to do this but it should be commended for it, since it often leads to the most memorable moments of any story
If you didn’t know, the woman who designed Bayonetta was also the designer of Hatsune Miku.
I'd argue that Bayonetta 1 had the better boss fights. Especially due to how much better the final boss in the first game is compared to the second.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Bayonetta 1 final boss was 10 times better than the second one.
Johnny The Pencil Slayer I think that’s why I enjoyed the first one a little more. Obviously, both are amazingly fun, but I found the first one more difficult so it felt like there was a little more substance. (Also The first’s final boss was insane)
Completely agree. Completing boss battles in the first game give me a sense of accomplishment. Taking down giants is much more satisfying than the second. I also would say the enemy variety and designs are better in the original. All the demons look very similar and all the enemies aren't otherworldly looking like Iustitia and Enchant.
I'm the 69th like.
I like both but prefer the firsts difficulty
Bayonetta 2 is just way better. It's what a sequel should be.
ruffluffs in terms of graphics and weapons sure. But combat mechanics got watered down.
Nah the combat is superior in the sequel.
Taunt offset was removed, combo juggles are nonexistent after the first boss, there is less incentive to do torture attacks now that umbran climax took over, there is little versatility in stopping power with the weapons, and enemies now just "phase" through attacks....Forcing you to only rely on witch time to get a hit or two in... Again, to milk umbran climax. Please enlighten me on how the sequel's combat is superior. Cinematic appeal is irrelevant to the discussion. Bayonetta is too beginner friendly as well in the sequel. The Non-stop infinite climax in Bayonetta 1 was crazy challenging with the lack of witch time. Bayonetta 2 simply reduced the duration of the mechanic.
Videogamefan50 oooooommmmggg, gladly. The ice skates rack up points and allow the freezing of pesky enemies to flow around easier. The gun chucks allow for ultimate stopping power against some of the most annoying enemies like the armored angels, the Durga is just epic for quick kills and explosive damage...... the fact that you said only the whip and sword hurts my soul. Literally every weapon besides Rodin is versatile and important in the game.
Bayonetta 2 introduces cool weapons but most of them are moot past a certain level. Too slow for the majority of high level demons and bosses and the game focuses too heavily on Umbran climax. It less about juggles and combos and more about mashing your way until you get enough meter to spam infernal weaves against high level enemies. Most bosses just phase through hits and even witch time is a lot less relevant to combos. Torture attack’s have little purpose to combo points and the sequel removed taunt offset, nerfed the hell out of bullet climax, and greatly reduced the effect and amount of “punish” attacks in the game.
Bayonetta 2 also seemed a little rushed. Carnage the dragonfly demon isn’t programmed into the book of demons, Jeanne wears the incorrect guns in a flashback scene, Bayonetta’s Scarborough fair doesn’t pop up in cutscenes, Rosa has no programmed madama kephri, and even the the climax brace now contributes to score records when it isn’t supposed to. Items no longer reduce the score as well which is a shame really. Even Aseir(excuse my spelling) has been a little underwhelming in the end of the game.
Bayonetta 2 IS FUN. Do not get me wrong but it caters to beginners to heavily and removed a ton of cool features. I made a whole page of comparisons because i was gonna make a CZcams video about it but I never had the equipment to do so. If you need more examples I can provide more but I didn’t wanna make a whole page of content. I’m a huge fan of Bayonetta since 2008 so I notice the tiniest of details.
Videogamefan50 o yea definitely. Look up CZcams videos on how to get all of the weapons. Bayonetta 1 has the most impressive lineup of fluid weapons that i have seen in any hack and slash.
Aha later this year I say
Bayonetta2 had better bosses, but Bayonetta had a SIGNIFICANTLY better final boss.
Bayo 1's story was much more interesting imo. Bayo 2 gameplay is better though.
Sayr well... They r different style tho. I would say the story is also interesting if played one. Cuz who knows Bayo's dad is actually a good guy, and the story is like a circle lol
I disagree, it was hard for me to care about bayo 1's story. Bayo 2 however kept me super interested. I absolutely love the fact that it's a sequel but also a prequel at the same time.
Bayo 2 makes Bayo 1 story even better because it fills so many gaps. That's a win in my book. Bayo 2 gameplay is a lot more casual friendly, so it really comes to preference.
Sayr I love BAYONETTA 2 better
Eh Bayonetta 1 had better combat. If you are a mindless button masher then you will love Bayonetta 2 but its pretty dull imo.
a link to the past vs. a link between worlds
ANSANO both are amazing
ANSANO Alttp wins for being original, harder, and providing more content. Albw mainly has better graphics and smoother controls.
how does lttp have more content...?
Henry Gutierrez
Between Worlds had better puzzles and more varied dungeons
I dont even have to watch to know that you are gonna say bayonetta 2.
Great video! I just started Bayo 1 today. Insanely fun game.
I haven’t played either game and I’m playing the first before touching the second. I’m loving the first so far, it’s making me much more excited for the second!
Gibby SG, both games are masterpieces!
Gibby SG the BAYONETTA 2 is the BEST cause she is more powerful
Bought both yesterday on eshop and I finished the story of bayo 1!! I'm gonna finish the story of bayo 2 and then go back and unlock stuff. But OMG the bosses were EPIC AFFF
Jared Khan it's so over the top. I love it.

Bayonetta 2 is the perfect sequel.
Imo, Bayonetta 1 is just... fine. The story is definitely the best part, and the game on normal difficulty is way too aggravating for me. It all comes down to the fact that when you get hit, you lose, like, four moon orbs and you lose the flow of the combat.
Bayonetta 2 isn't necessarily easier, just more forgiving and is more fun. And I personally like the Bayonetta 2's story even more than the first one. Well, not the story itself, rather the presentation. The cutscenes are much better animated and the characters are given much more depth, and I feel like it answered more questions than Bayonetta 1 ever did.
get good

@@turntechgodhead73 I can't tell if you're an actual kid or just stupid enough to think that copy-pasting my comment, then responding with what I said with a similar response to me is clever.
It's not. At all. You just prove how childish you are if that's the best you got to come at me with. I shouldn't have expected maturity, though, your response to a fair criticism to a game you enjoy is a cancerous way to say OP isn't good at Bayonetta 1. Honestly, it's like reading comments on a Fire Emblem Smash song, with people complaining about there being so many reps, but never giving real reasons as to why it's a problem.
It's all childish.
Don't bother replying to me if you're going to say something else completely immature. It's not even entertaining.
@@xacmashe3852 tldr your a penis head
9:44 Yeah baby!
You could have put some indication by which could differentiate which one is 1 and 2...
i would say a boss is one that has a health bar in the lower right corner of the screen and a big boss is one with just more health then a smaller one as health bar switches color as the bosses health lowers
"one of them turns you into a child and eats you its very scary" lmao. also i knew from the beginning bayo 2 would win
just got em today 1 downloading now!
I hope that in Bayonetta 3 they don't nerf some of her abilities.
In Bayonetta 2, bullet climax was heavily nerfed. However Umbran Climax compensates for it.
mastermp2 Bullet climax is way more powerful in Bayonetta 2...
But it uses magic, but yeah,,, it was more powerful. Why not have both?
"Punch/kick (X/A)" bullet climax = Same as Bayonetta 2. Good for damage
"Shoot (Y)" bullet climax= Same as Bayonetta 1. Good for combo points
I bought copies of both games for switch a few days ago, and im awfully glad i did!!
I really hope bayonetta 1 eventually gets a switch physical release version... or if probably not, that someone online would sell it much cheaper than the real expensive prices on ebay. Seriously, I don't get why Japan only got the Nonstop Climax edition. I would have glady forked over my money in the US for that same bundle with all the collectors items and accessories included.
The only reason I got Bayonetta 2 for a used price at some off brand store is because I didn't have to worry about selling a download code inside and even if it did have a download code still inside the box, I would not allow myself be faced with the dilemma of downloading digital. Good news is that at least Bay 1 is only 8.8 GB for those who went digital. Capcom's digital ports are a different story however...
Wow, what a surprise, the sequel won because its just a better version of the first one
BlackJack 334 Well many sequels don't get this right these days sadly. Cough Destiny 2 cough..
Well thats just because the fat guy in the suit sees that its selling well and forces the team to shit out another one, and another one, and...you get the picture, and they're usually pressed for time too
I don't get it. BEING A BETTER VERSION IS A GOOD THING. It's like you people think that if something is beginner friendly its bad. That logic doesn't make sense.
It's not though. The combat got completely watered down compared to 1, with less incentive of combo creativity.
Bayonetta 2 ruined the entire balance of the combat system. All the other points are moot.
Bayonetta 1 ultimately has the more satisfying gameplay that's hard, yet fair. and fun!
Exactly! Let's hope things change for Bayo 3!
Yeti in what way did it ruin the balance?
Umbran Climax mainly. It should have been an overpowered super state but in fact it is *required* to play the game well at high levels.
Because you see, regular wicked weaves now do less damage, have far less knockback, and are ultimately less useful. Enemies have way more health now and that just makes them tedious.
You also *need* to use to use witch time extensively to get any hits in. In the highest difficulty, enemies will dodge or block almost every single attack so you just have to wait for them to attack and get a split second of witch time and then repeat. there's no real skill and doesn't allow for creativity, it's just tedious.
This is further backed up by the extremely high requirements for combo scores (pretty much implying you need a combination of both witch time and umbran climax to get there) and a very strict requirement on verse time (reducing ability to be creative)
It's a shame really, because the movement is more fluid but when there's so little weight to everything and enemies are damage sponges who can never be moved or thrown up in the air, it's no fun.
are you mad! bayo 2 made combat better
I loved the game initially, but the better I got at Bayo 2, the worse it seemed. The enemies and bosses just aren't as good as 1's.
i played both two. i remembered i could get stone on normal mode in bayo 1. while on bayo 2 the lowest i could get was silver. i enjoyed both two
Yeah on my first playthrough I would usually get stone mostly cuz I die a lot during the quick time events lol. But I've gotten a couple of gold and silvers too
Will bayonetta 3 knock 1 and 2 out of the park though thats the REAL question
if Kamiya is directing, there's a chance
if not, no chance

I agree with the story for Bayonetta 1. I think the reason Bayonetta 2 was handled the way it was is because it was introducing itself to a new audience. Yes Bayonetta 2 is punishing, but not as punishing as Bayonetta 1. Lollipops in Bay 1 for example really serve no purpose for you in the end. Its basically a crutch or handicap, but is used as a trade off/penalty for reflected results. I also noticed that Bay 2 is more forgiving in it's dodging for witch time. Bay 2 had to keep in mind that not all players would play Bayonetta 1 (considering some Wii U copies were not a special edition with Bay 1). Basically they had to tell their own story for Bay 2 while simultaneously recapping Bay 1 in a streamlined referenced filled way as well as keep new players engaged by tweaking witch time and making lollipops useful without penalties. Honestly though, Bay 1 trains you better and I think both games know that. Bay 1 trains you to rely on your own reflexes without any crutches while Bay 2 includes the crutches without penalties in-game, but places the penalties onto the player personally. Especially once they find the rude awakenings of the Musspelheims, Witch Trials, Secret Rodin Battle, etc.
If I were to make a comparison to Zelda, Bay 1 is like playing master mode with no armor and 3 hearts for your journey. Sure you will die a lot, but you also improve significantly. It's trial by fire. Bay 2 on the other hand would be Eventide Island on normal mode acting as a mirror to the Witches' Trials and Rodin. Your high level armor in Breath of the Wild would be equivalent to the lollipops of Bay 2. Basically if you relied too heavily on those crutches for each respective game, you are in for a nasty treat.
i hope it gets an anime like devil may cry ... also they need to bring back the devil may cry anime
Monkeyking There is an anime movie of the first Bayonetta!
i know but i want a show not just a movie
It has an anime movie based off of the 1st game.
Huh, didn't Bayonetta 1 only get 86 on Metacritic?
Cosmin29 I was just correcting the score used in that video...
@Johnny The Pencil Slayer Dude, stop. His very next comment was saying he was just correcting the score in the video.
difficulty level on bayonetta 1 is insane if you play on normal i get a feeling normal should have been labled hard or very hard
Bayo 1's Very Easy, Easy and Normal difficulties are roughly equivalent to Bayo 2's Easy, Normal and Hard, yeah
although Bayo 2's Hard is a bit harder than Bayo 1's Normal
Bayo 2's hard is waaaay harder than bayo 1's normal.
Hubblebub Lumbubwub ok your saying that also bayonetta 2 difficulties should be renamed?
No, hard is supposed to be hard, that's why it's called "hard". I thought Bayo 1 was doable without items.
I bought this game 2 days ago... and et me say... is AMAZING !!
Danny Cartagena Which one?
Which one?
why did you make the ads unskippable?
SpadeZap I bought CZcams red lmao
SpadeZap I don't think they have a choice, and why is it such a big deal that you commented?? They have to earn money too you know
stfu, "they have to earn money too" that is not an excuse for the enjoyability of the content. Jeez, overeacting much. You don't have to respond for no valid reason.
... I asked a simple question. It was not even offensive. This is why commenters need to stfu.
ok, thx now I know that it is not their fault. Finally, someone actually helpful
2 wins hands down in gameplay but the first one had a better variety of environments and was way crazier. 2 just has better control, replay value, got rid of quicktimes and the plot is easier to understand. If we could combine the best of 1 and 2 we'd get quite the package
Obscure Media actually 1 was WAY crazyer than the sequel
Yeah thats what I said lol. The imagination was there in 1. 2 seemed more normal,. which isnt saying much for Bayonetta lol
I have to get the games
Anyone catch him saying Ronin XD
Yup. They clearly pronounce his name ("Ro-Dan)" in both games, lol!!
@@NavySharkz “Ro-Dine” is how they say it lmao
@@DavidHosey1 Kool, thanks.
Bayonetta 3 is confirmed!? ...I think i just jizzed myself!
I also prefer Bayo 2's more vibrant colors, HOWEVER at times they make it rather hard to see your enemies (e.g. the first Lumen Sage battle where the boss basically blends in with the orange background).
Please, bring us fire emblem awakening x fire emblem fates
Zelda twilight princess x breath of the wild
I'm so pumped for Bayonetta 2. Opted to go with the original first before touching the sequel. It's both stupidly fun and somewhat frustrating. Apparently I'm terrible at dodging. 😂
The first one is way harder. The second is more fun so be sure to stick with it! :)
j wolf thanks, I will!
I’m beating the first one too
Cool yeah the first one is really fun, and the final boss is way cooler in Bayo 1, compared to 2 but other than that, 2 blows Bayo one out of the water!!!
I finished chapter 10 just now! 12+ hours into Bayo.... I'm so in love with the series now. The bat powerup helps a lot during dodging.
Ronin ... Ronin .... RONIN!!!!
Bayonetta 2 all the way!!
Bayonetta 2 is the BEST because she looks great and she's more powerful
as far as iv seen so far the "angels" are more like "devils" meaning evil
I heavily disagree. I just got them yesterday, and I have played 1, but not 2, BUT fly me to the moon is literally THE definition of hype, jet or not. Also, technically speaking, the intro battle of 1 is on a chunk of clock tower while falling. Just saying.
bayonetta 1 had the better endgame
I prefer bayo 1. It also looks like new compared to the muddy 360 version . 1 has Better atmosphere and mood . more platform and more calm moments . Better to play and master 1 first ,then go to 2 to get that extra you will need afterwards. Also don't be affraid to skip cutscenes, they are just there to deliver crazy gameplay, and bayo is 100% about crazy gameplay
The story of Bayonetta is not the best but I really like the Characters. Especilly Bayonetta. The main reason why I am interested in getting a Switch and play Bayonetta 2 is because I love this Character and its great playing a good game as a Character I like. Now I played Bayonetta through multiple times so I do skipp cutscenes but I would have missed out if I did it the first time around and I will watch every cut scene in Bayonetta 2 when I finally get the chance to play it.
This is a game for horndogs I mean seriously, do you really think this game is only about gameplay and story? Lol sure more like some guys wet dream becoming reality (the creator)
I'd LOVE to play it, but the thumbsticks on both my pro-controller and Joycon are worn and loose, because crappy build quality is their new M.O.
Think I'm gonna get that adapter and just use a PS4 controller from now on.
Might Guy you're a fucking idiot
Might Guy thank you for proving my point. fucking moron.
Might Guy just because you're too young to have touched an N64 controller in your life doesn't mean your experience with build quality defines reality. I don't play your clone of duty shit games, but maybe you should stop being such a fanboy and do your homework. Nintendo has a history of shit build quality. From floppy analog sticks on the N64, to NES controllers that had to be shipped out for repairs every 6 months their first few years of production, to the shoulder buttons of EVERY DS system ever made
You don't have to play rough with Nintendo for their products to break.
stop talking out your ass, grow up, and put down your phone in the classroom.
Might Guy proof again you're an idiot
Might Guy talking about build quality of older systems is proving my point that controllers break and wear down under NORMAL USE and not abuse.
and the Nintendo switch is the shittiest build quality they've had in decades. do some research.
Ya but 2 nerfed the hell out of the combat.... like it sucks. And now it just looks flashier instead of it BEING flashier. But I suppose this video is coming from a shallow fan rather than someone who enjoys the entirety, art, and beauty of the game :/ nice video though
The Blue Eyed Guy, i never got any torture combos in 2, did they remove it? Cuz I clearly remember doing a combo directly into a spank torture in 1. And not the one’s where you press X and Y
This is such a horrible comparison bayonetta 1 is superior to bayo 2 in every aspect other than visuals the gameplay in bayo 2 is too easy and the gameplay is so bad they made her weaker and Umbrian climax is too broken making torture attacks worthless
Andrew Lopez Just about everyone agrees that 2 is better than 1. And no, she's not weaker in Bayonetta 2.
Cosmin29 I've 100% completed both games and Bayonetta 2 is better imo.
Cosmin29 How is it deeper?
@@Lalapopsy Bayonetta 2 is less original. It has basically the same intro, it reuses jokes, the jet flight is the same as the rocket flight in the first game and both had a kid traveling with them in the story only the one in the second game was annoying.

G-Virus It is.
Anybody who says they play Bayonetta for the gameplay and story are clearly lying. Cutscenes 🤤🤤🤤
I can watch the cutscenes on youtube and i can watch porn on pornhub
The story is not that great but Bayonetta is one hell of an awesome Character.
I watch them both for the entertainment value. Pretty decent stories, hilarious side characters, and an awesome protagonist with crazy game play. I also like the different enemies so yes, I DO watch them for the game play.
I would try if Bayonetta wasn't so fanservicy.
TayoEXE would you prefer a typical muscular man with no personality as a protagonist?
Sausage No necessarily, and what's so fanservicy about being muscular?
TayoEXE That's what bayonetta is, unapologetically sexy. In my opinion there aren't enough games like this. As an adult, I like adult content. I personally feel like you need to be comfortable with your own sexuality to enjoy bayonettas. I guess I'll never understand why people can't handle sexy things anymore.
GimmieDatCake The only sexuality I want to be comfortable with is my own and my wife's. And I say that unapologetically. I am an adult, and I like adult things. Though, your definition of "adult" seems to differ from mine.
In my opinion, there are too many games like this. Fanservice involves a deliberate use of (especially unrealistic) sexuality to draw attention to viewers. There is less logic involved for why a woman of her figure just so happens to have witch powers that remove more of her clothes as she uses them.
I felt the same way until I played the games. Yeah there is fanservice (more than I would like to be honest), but there is also personality in the character of bayonetta once you get past the looks. She has the attitude to justify her apperience, which doesn't happen often in videogames. If you like the hack and slash genre you are missing out.
just finished bayonetta 1 on pc... gameplay was boring and shit... and the QTEs were the worst part of the game... the boss fights were the same thing over and over again, very dull and boring (wait for an attack, dodge, hit, wait for attack, doge, hit, and so on). the humor was nice though. what really pissed me off though is that u dont unlock ANY costumes for beating the game, u have to grind halos and BUY them for an enormous amount of halos.... what a shitshow... wouldnt play it again.
You're wrong on two accounts Bayonetta one is the superior game because it's normal Bayonetta 2 sucks because it doesn't make any sense for a game that was released in September to have a Christmas theme considering Halloween was the following month after the games released of Bayonetta 2 was released September 20th 2014 which doesn't make any sense having a Christmas theme when Halloween was right around the corner most people that really schemes in September or October their games would have a Halloween theme not a Christmas theme it would have made more sense for Bayonetta 2 to have a Christmas theme if it was released in November or December but it was released in September knowing Platinum games did that it doesn't make any sense to give it a Christmas theme a Halloween theme would have made more sense especially when you're fighting monsters from Hell most of the time because Bayonetta 2 is not a real sequel because it has a Christmas theme in it making it garbage at least when it comes to Bayonetta 1 that game was normal and also considering Bayonetta 3 is being released in October this year October 20th 2022 at least Bayonetta 3 like the first game is normal and because of that just like Devil May Cry 2 Bayonetta 2 is a disappointment because the gameplay and the character do not look like the character normally looks at least when it comes to the third game Bayonetta may be smaller in a new character modeling but at least the character modeling is based off of the first game version of what the character look like wear like Devil May Cry 2 Bayonetta 2 main character does not look like the character outfit two different in the model and style of the character and having shorter hair makes it not look like Bayonetta anymore when it comes to the second game so apparently Platinum Games and Sega create an encore presentation of the same mistake people griped about Devil May Cry 2 where the game and character in Bayonetta 2 just doesn't feel like it belongs in the franchise except for Bayonetta 3 main character being smaller in a new voice actress other than that you'll notice that Bayonetta 3 just like Devil May Cry 3 the main character looks more like the character did in the first game indicating Platinum Games and Sega Bayonetta 2 and Capcom Devil May Cry 2 character model in certain other things were a mistake Capcom made the mistake in the second game with the battle mechanics of the combo system while Platinum Games made the mistake of making the second game have a Christmas theme and also the character model does not represent the original version of the character like she looks like in the first game which the third game returns to a similar version of the character long hair and with a red ribbon in her hair just like in the first game and a similar new style outfit based off of the first games outfit is found in the third game indicating Devil May Cry 1 Bayonetta one and Devil May Cry 3 and Bayonetta 3 it's all follow the traditional version of the characters appearance to some degree better than their second games making the first and third game and everything after the third game feel more like the character is the actual Dante and is the actual Bayonetta while they're part 2 games ruin the franchise why do some companies make mistakes with number twos
I disagree bayo 1 is better 😑 in the gameplay segment enemies verity ? More new moves or abilities that doesn’t mean its as good as the original my friends.
The gameplay of the first is rock solid not the best in the series but even among all other action games let tell why Bayo2 falls way behind you to at least should play both games on hard to notice the difference what difference in 2 ? Nothing besides enemies health the original did way more then that.
Anyway the enemies ai in first one are far superior they literally circle ⭕️ and know their placement not to mix with other Ai and the player and start attacking one ☝️ after another not randomly not so fast that you can’t see the attack and the hit box is logical and that comes back to their brilliant design when I see humanoid angel 👼 holding an object looks like an axe 🪓 I could guess how he is gonna attack and what his pattern and they don’t disappoint my guess comes close the attack is in a logical speed and a can see it thanks to the colors and animation of the first game.
The movement of the player and the enemies are stable in the first game yet so precise and that’s really good when you encounter enemies in the first game their numbers never 👎 be too many to the point it becomes unfair even in harder difficulty and the health never drags to the point the game becomes boring thats and yet the game offer a really good challenge in harder mods.
And here the critical point where I hate bayo 2 for doing this they sped up ⬆️ the torture attack that’s a good thing whats not good is this Umbran witch which kinda similar to the devil trigger this attack makes you spam buttons mindlessly and be rewarded by high amount of damage all enemies around get stagger or just die you don’t have to reposition yourself or the enemies you just standing and spamming buttons, in bayo 1 that mindless spamming doesn’t happen you build your magic 🪄 use a torture attack pick the angel weapon that does a high damage while also replenish your magic and after that you use Tetsuken or heel stomp those are basically a wicked wave attack but you them without combo just by your magic jewels 💎 and they aren’t as op as 2 they are balanced like the enemies and everything from the first game I say it again as a proof of the balance bayo 1 do you don’t fight 5 grace and glory at once you fight 2 then after you kill them the 3 remaining respawn that’s in hard and climax difficulty I mean imagine fighting 5 of them at once any way you use those Wicked wave attack like heel stomp to instantly stagger an enemy and do a high damage to him.
I don’t know if I forgot to mention any other thing major but I hope my points are clear to understand
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Long sentence
I've only beat these games 1 time each a few years ago. I liked Bayonetta 1 better than Bayonetta 2 because it has that castlevania/darksouls thing where it's a harder game so you end up replaying a game section or a boss multiple times and so you remember it better. I think Bayonetta 1 had better bosses and since it was harder I had to use strategy to wins battles, where as Bayonetta 2 I was button mashing alot of the time or I just happen to be good enough to beat a section on the the first try. Maybe I just need to play Bayo 2 on a harder difficulty to appreciate the gameplay and the level design. I also like Bayonetta 1 story better and I think it's a slightly longer game.
This video comparison was awful.
1.bayonetta 2 enemy turning you into a kid. That happens against a boss in bayonetta 1 and is not a new concept.
2.speaking of umbran climax as if that's a new addition or important in gameplay.
3.bayonetta 1 took more skill. Bayonetta 2 was dumbed down and better colors does not make the combat better.
I tried playing the demo of Bayonetta 2 once (on Wii U). It felt like 30 minutes of glorified quick-time events.
You talk like a 2010 normal boots youtuber lmao
2 has some awesome bits but i’ve personally always found 1 more fun to play and i thought the (crazy) story was more interesting and made more sense
love the original Bayonetta but i should accept that b2 its better in every way
I wish I had a nintendo switch 😭😭
I would have said Bayonetta 1. Story is an obvious but I would have said combat as well. If you try to beat the game pure platinum you would know what I mean, as getting that combo is more satisfying, difficult but awarding. Bayonetta 2 waters it down far too much and in some parts too easy. Also the demons were problematic especially sloth. They are far too unpredictable compared to the angels. That’s just my opinion, not saying the 2nd game is bad. It’s a perfect example of a sequel
Getting a switch just for bayo so thanks for the vid!!
I SENSE BIAS YOU DUMBFUCK
I definitely don’t like the second more than the first the weapons are worst the theming makes it look like a cartoon instead of looking real seeming like it could be happening in the real world
Do I have to? I already have it on steam and Wii U
what i really wanna know is if bayo 2 has any of the cheap bullshit that one had, like quick times out of nowhere (or things in general that come out of nowhere without warning) and lack of consistency with combos and witch time (looking at you Balder)
czcams.com/video/6jIQkohrSvQ/video.html
I can already tell your a casual player
I still prefer the first one
Why is everyone bashing Bayo 2, I loved the game.
i dont think this makes sense in making profit from this franchise IF its only released on one console. but i guess since nintendo supported the sequal, platinum games have no choice but to support their decision and stick to the nintendo monopoly. *sigh*
We need Bayonetta 3
I honestly hate umbran climax. Most angels don't have a single chance against it. It's overpowered and it feels too easy to use. They lowered the skill floor in Bayo 2, but also lowered the skill ceiling, making it so that the more experienced players don't have any real challenge.
Edit: I really feel like Bayo 1 has better boss fights.
I have to spend a lot on a computer) than on an exclusive 🌟🌟🌟👆👆👆👆👆😢😢😭😭
i own pt1 for xb1 and i saw the entirety of part 2 - pt1 is somewhere above 2.
SEGA you are pukes to NOT fund 2.
edit - p1's bosses were more fun because giants like Fortitudo. Even the 2018 god of war distinctly falls behind predecessors.
I doubt Bayonetta1/2 ron way better on the switch because it runs on the Wii U just fine
The story in Bayo 1 was a lot better and didn't have an obnoxious kid that ruined most of the game. I also liked Bayo her design much more in the first one
WAIT?! BOSSES SECTION ?!? BAYONETTA 2 WINS?! DID YOU EVER FACE THE LAST BATTLE OF JEANNE ON INFINITE CLIMAX?! *DO YOU?! DO YOU?!* OR EVEN JUBILEUS!!! DID YOU SEE HOW EPIC WAS THAT?! MAKING BATTLES WITH JEANNE IS THE REAL SHIT!! (On a good way)
My favorite part about Bayonetta 2 is probably umbran climax. Though it almost feels like they replaced climax with it because of how little you do it. I know that it is still there, but I am pretty sure that she does it much less in 2 than 1.
All these people saying bayonetta 2 was “the perfect sequel”, WHAT?!??!! Bayonetta 2 was an amazing game and honestly better than bayonetta 1, however it was a terrible sequel. Almost nothing was changed from bayonnetta 1, the story was essentially the same, the gameplay had almost nothing new added. I love the second game so much, but let’s not pretend like the second game did anything remarkable for the series.
I accept the verdict though I enjoyed Bayonetta 1 more. The story was better and that affected how I feel about the boss fights. Fighting the Auditio was more fun for the dialog/story/interactions than fighting just about anyone in Bayonetta 2. The cutscenes drove me through that game.
But I can't deny that, of course, combat and variety are improved in Bayonetta 2. I just didn't care for the final boss at all. He was... pretty boring. The Masked Lumen was awesome though.
Gameplay I would argue, goes to Bayonetta 1 instead. Bayonetta 2 adds quantity, without considering quality, making it a button masher due to strict time rankings and over-reliance on Witch Time, even adding it to NSIC which is nearly identical to Hard since in the first game you didn’t have any Witch Time, so you had to further master the combat system. The controls are only smoother in the second game. The first game’s reasonable ranking system and making each layer of the difficulties feel unique made it more addicting than the second game imo.
Is there a story differences?
Um absolutely complain about easiness
Bayonetta 2 has a Metascore of 92, not 91.
they're both great. No need to compare them, just play them.
Bayo1 tests your abilities without Witch Time against enemies with bad defense.
Bayo2 tests your ability to Witch Time against enemies with good defense.
I bought Bayonetta for the gameplay. My friends won't believe me, help
Omg same
Wow your the only one making sense around here the weapons are better the stages more immersive than a fucking cartoon the bosses are kinda close but Jubileus trumps aesir and that’s the final boss
Omg I love bayonetta for the gameplay too
@@triborn217
T'was a joke
This just happened to me, recommended it to a friend and they called me a pervert lmao
Just want to say this is one of the best review/comparison videos I have watched. Great comparisons and thoroughness. Touched on all the good points and did not mention anything stupid like the sexuality between the two games. Too many people think it’s just a game about a sexy librarian stripper and must not be about much else. Actually has some awesome gameplay and I love the freedom of the upgrade system. Just wanted to comment to say awesome video and keep these videos coming thank you.
If I get this game on eBay it's half the price, but won't come with 1. Or I fork out full price (£35) and get it new with the dlc code for 1. I had the 1st one back in 2009 for Xbox but never quite finished it. I feel like I owe it to myself to play it again, especially as the franchise will be continued hopefully this year. Do you think one is really worth playigy again?
