And when I make the mix, I usually make a huge batch and store in our freezers in the garage to have it ready whenever it pops into your mind... The last time I made a batch it was exactly 30Kgs! 😆 It has been more than a year and we still have got some... Time to prepare a new batch this summer...

Africans took it to Brazil and called it Acaraje, stuff it with vatapa and its my favorite food ❤ the basic difference in taste is Acaraje is fried with red palm oil and falafel is not.
Side note : letting the mixture rest for atleast an hour will help it retain its shape better and for the flavour to better mindle. Plus you can then refridgerate for a few days atleast.

Whisk it well until everything combines and turns into a beige color. og tahini tastes nutty with a velvety consistency and can be stored for about 2 weeks in the refrigerator afaik
My Egyptian Dad makes it like this, but I don’t think any corn starch. He also individually removes the skins by hand from each of the chickpeas following the overnight soak before blending.
In India ,Kerala we have a snack called Parripu vada . We use big yellow lentils not the small ones.We soak them for just 20 mins . We put dal, onion , green chilly, ginger,salt, turmeric and a little chilly powder and curry leaves in the food processor and then make balls and deep fry them… then you get parripu vada.😊
Just a quick fix, Falafel did originated in Egypt made (up to this day) of ful beans, yet, the ones who replaced the ful with 7umus are the Yemens and then it spread to the rest of the levant. Just saying... No need to rewrite history....
