Almagro is one of the beautiful villages in Spain. It is worth seeing! It has a cozy old square from the 17th century. It also has a Michelin restaurant.
Almagro is located two hours from Madrid or Cordoba and a little more from Granada, so the best option is to get there by car. Almagro is close to Consuegra.
Almagro enters history throughout the thirteenth century thanks to the Military Order of Calatrava, which made our town the administrative capital of its extensive domains and the residence of the Masters.
In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, Almagro reached its maximum splendor, since rich families from all over Europe settled here, attracted by the fairs and the businesses that could be made from the goods of the Main Table that the Emperor Carlos V had leased to the Fúcares. These families practiced patronage extensively and built splendid palatial-looking mansions for themselves.
