Ronda - a wonderful town of Spain. 4K Walk tour. Malaga Province

Ronda is a city in the Spanish province of Malaga in Andalusia. It is located on the top of a mountain above a deep gorge. This gorge called El Tajo separates the New City, built in the XV century, from the Old City, founded under Moorish rule. Puente Nuevo is a stone bridge over the gorge, which overlooks the surrounding area. One of the most recognizable sights of the city is the legendary bullring Plaza de Toros, built in the XVIII century.
This town divides its urban area on both sides of the Tajo del Ronda, a gorge more than 150 meters deep. Its old town is declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. Celts, Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs inhabited these lands, which were reconquered by the Catholic Monarchs.
1 day is enough to visit Ronda and get to know its most essential places.
