- We couldn't find anyone to paint this Bleepin Yota so we bought an inflatable paint booth and painted it at home. For those asking in the comments, here is the booth we used: amzn.to/48Y4gqZ

I don't love how some people criticize work, like it's they themselves (instead of the operators) that have to be happy with results. Good job for not being perfectionists and leaving good enough alone, so that you can keep on with the journey.
My dad still logs everything done to his “new truck” too👍🏼 he always has, with every vehicle he’s owned. OLD SKOOL💚💚💚👍🏼
I love that you couldn’t find a paint shop so just did it yourself. Josh is a gem
A true ruby! Or maybe a diamond… in the rough 😃
That’s an amazing amount of amperage to blow a main fuse on the power line side.
I truly hope you two understand how much you guys help folks. Thank you Matt and “Just Josh”!! 🤣🤣
I love the extra effort of combining the log books and adding your work into that. It's a small detail that will mean alot!
You did a great job "just josh"😂 I'm sure robbie would approve.
Looking great can't wait to see it finished thanks for letting me watch 👍.
You bet
You should wrap some Visqueen around those LED lights to diffuse the lensing that those LEDs are creating
To insure your seat covers are tight always glue a thin layer of foam over your worn out compressed foam. Use a heat gun at a good distance to heat vinyl covers and smooth them by gently passing over them with a microfiber towel. Be sure not to get it hot enough to make the vinyl real soft.
Extra foam needed in there, other than that, great job
Qw had one and had put a simple pvc pipe frame inside in case it deflated which it did when one of the tubes split when a car was drying the pvc saved the paint job! Just a thought for next time!
Great progress on the truck and updating to a new service history book was a nice touch i think your Dad will appreciate it because he will know every detail of what you both did to it.
I hope so too! I’m glad I was able to combine the 3
Matt the fab josh the painter. Great team
Congratulations on your winch line patent. You've come a long ways from the early days of bleepinjeep. Great job Josh I appreciate the painting tips!
Thanks 👍
Beautiful work Josh! 👏💕👍
Congratulations on jumping through the never ending hoops needed to get a patent. Very hard work for an individual.
Yes, thank you. Seems like anything the government has its hand in becomes that complicated.
Personally I would have had the input fan's running on the generator, if you have it running anyway, that way it,wouldn't collapse, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Congrats on the patent, your channel's success, and personal success. ❤ this channel.
Thank you so much!
You guys do a hell of a job of figuring things out as you go! I’d rather watch you guys do that than watch some edited video of everything going perfectly like clockwork. After all, you ain’t building a watch!
Thanks 👍. If anyone ever has a video that went perfect then they just lied and edited out the mistakes!
congrats on your patent !!! I remember my 1st patent , I have over 30 of them now . If you ever sell your patent make sure you have one of the major banks do a full spread of the projected income for the life of the patent .then you ask for a up front payment of any where from 5 to 15 % of the patent value then ask for a royalty on every one sold .I usually ask for any where from 6 % to 15 % on each item sold and make sure its based off the gross not the net . Have a good idea of what you want and have a bottom line of what you accept before you ever enter in to negations. and if they will not meet that bottom line, you then walk . just clearly state too the possible buyer that their offer is well below what you are willing to accept ,and thank them for their interest in your product . They will either up their offer or they wont, but dont flinch .after all you are in the driver seat and they want what you have .after all you are all ready making money off the product and selling might not be what you are interested in .
Wow, 30 patents that’s awesome. What are they for? I wish I could have picked your brain a time or two while working on this one.
I specialize in inventing for the manufacturing industry making the processes faster more reliable and also some products that perform inline automatic testing for quality control .also some products for the rail industry.@@bleepinjeep
Love me some pot stickers!🤤🥟
😮Toyota sells original "old new stock " vinyl seat covers. I bought the cheaper vinyl and same issue. Extra material only an inch but not very tight. Bought from Toyota and brother it fit. Pricey very but damn it was awesome. Toyota logo too.
That’s Seat Cover looks like a 60’ 70’s Domestic Car When Plastics was Being Experimented with I-Recall Seeing Some Metallic Blues With piping Some Metallic Reds Green Vinyls 🤣😂
And after painting, you can throw a party in there 🎉
Josh, I liked the paintjob tips! Good job!
FYI, most people who use those inflatable booths build an inner skeleton out of pvc to make sure it doesn’t collapse on your work in case of a power outage. You can also hang lights from it. Love the channel!
Might do that next time, my current issue is storage. It’s still the size of a large pallet when bagged up.
@@bleepinjeep I understand what you are saying. I’m in the same boat. I have a good size shop but it’s full of projects. I like the idea of a booth you can put up and take down but not sure if I want that hassle. I have a porch on the end of my building that I’m going to extend and then close in for a paint set up. For what you guys did, the inflatable booth was a perfect solution. Great job on your dad’s truck being all DIY. 👍🏻
Good morning would it be possible to see more videos of Josh paintings? In my opinion he is a natural and did really well. I love how he was explaining things.
I am a subscriber to Robby's channel so I understood what Josh was talking about when it comes to painting.
Your dad is going to love the truck that is for sure
Noted! I'm sure we will paint something again. The Scorpion 2.0 was painted by Josh as well if you havent seen that series.
Great job, Dad will be ecstatic, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Bubble boy! Pro paint job for sure!
I have one of them. It works very well. Make sure you have a good ventilation. They will be over spray coming out
We may have lost a few extra marbles
At 2:39 I loudly said, to the tv, "You will never ever ever in a million years get that thing back in its bag."
😂😂😂
Nope😂
Well you were right!
I struggle to get an air mattress back in its original back EVERY damn time I use it 😂🤦♂️
Just FYI the paint to repair the interior plastic is probably SEM Color Coat "15303 Graphite". It matched my '87 Land Cruiser and is holding up perfectly for 3 years now.
Is that blue?
@@bleepinjeep well, it looks grey to me, but so does my truck. Toyota says it's blue. Squint your eyes a little? 😁
I really liked you showing the whole paint process I have shot a few cars but actually learned a few things
Looks like Josh did a great job
The log book is pretty cool.
Reminds me of that scene in ET
Josh has become the boy in the bubble.
My neighbor got one of these paint booths. They are awesome!
What about adding some foam to the center portion of the seat back to take up the extra material?
Congrats on your patent, Matt.
Seems to be one of two things with the back of the seat cover. They sewed it taking into consideration the foam padding was "new" vs old and shrunken. Or they simply had measured incorrectly before sewing up the seams. I would contact the seller with a picture of the installed back cover and maybe a shot of your foam cushioning...maybe they have some solutions or will send out a replacement.
Ended up doing exactly that and sent them the old vinyl and they fixed the pattern and sent a new back.
@@bleepinjeepIt really pays off to deal with a great vendor.
Awesome. I had to do that a few times. You would never have got that big wrinkle out. If you have a steamer that is the best thing to use to sretch your material as it won't burn the material.@bleepinjeep
A pair of snapping pliers does great at opening up the hog rigs if you wanna save them.
The pliers I got came with plenty of new rings so I used those instead.
Thursday at work I had to change the foam out on a seat and I had to reuse mine so that when I figured out that works good lol
Really nice work. Awesome paint, Josh. Thanks, guys.
Possibly rent out the paint booth as a bounce house for kids' birthday parties (maybe don't mention it was used for painting a truck) recouping the cost of the booth.
Great job!
Boom instant paint booth! Keep up the great work guys,i work on jeep xjs and this inflatable paintbooth caught my attention
Heres a better idea though, back up the vehicle your going to paint in the garage, set up the paint booth outside of the garage door and then drive into the paint booth, when your done paint, just back up into the garage again and dismantle the booth
Great work. Congrats on the Patent.
I absolutely love that color. I really want one of those older Toyotas.
congrats for the patent!
Mat you should add in random notes on how you love your dad and think about him
That is awesome ❤❤❤
Your Dad is going to love it. This is what we all should do for our parents. It doesn't have to be a car it could just be something they like. Thanks for the video stay safe guy's.
Upstate New York. Looking good
Gorgeous .. 👍😎✊
I almost wonder if you could bend up some conduit inside to make a halo as a safety back up?
Probably could but then will have more to store.
Just use the pvc and you could dismantle like Lego until you need it again.
Nice video...fun to watch the process- Jack, no no, John- no no, I mean Josh- nice paint job!
Thanks 👍
This is my favorite build because of why you guys are doing it.
Lunch lady brought bigguy food today!!!! No chiki nuggies with ketchup?????
Just playin
You should have more air going in than going out. This then pressurises the area which pushes dust out. We do the same with server clean rooms.
Yes, that's the goal
Your dads pickup is coming along pretty well. Hopefully you will have more use of the blow up paint booth. I'm pretty sure even if it is a plastic blow up item it was not all that cheap to buy hopefully it can be or more use.
It’s not cheap but I’m sure will last a few years at least.
Nice booth.
Looking awesome guys! I think your Dad is gonna love it! Thank you for sharing
Wahoo, looks awesome
I want to see the orange machine on the trail.
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Fine job guy's, I really think your dad is gonna love what you've done to his truck. And you have really increased the value of it also. Can't wait to see it done. Thanks for the video guy's can't wait for the next one.
Put steam on the foam! It will expand
You should call the paint booth AREA 51. 👽🛸
I was thinking a few 2x4s and some heavy plastic would build you a decent paint booth last episode! This is a something I hadn't thought of. I've built several 'paint booths' in much worse shops than yours for a buddy of mine. They won't fall down if the power goes out!
Josh, were you a bodyman in a previous life??
Congrats man!! 🎸🎸🎸
Nice job guys I think your dad will be proud of you and to drive and use this truck
This intro, man, I was dying!!!
That seat upper looks like it might be slightly banana shaped, where the top is curved and therfore compressed. I wonder if you spread the upper a bit, if that cover would fit.
Panel painting is not good sometimes unless you mix all the paint at once. May get a slight variation in color painting like that. But y’all did a great job! 👏
It was all mixed....just had to reduce. Thank you!!
One of your better episodes.. well done !
congratulation on the patents ! those recovery gear looking good..reasonably priced too..
Thanks 👍
I got a paint-buzz just watching this video.
great job with your winch line. paint job looks awesome. someday i wish to get myself a freedom winch line.
What I want to know is, did you get the paint booth back in the bag. Great job, thanks for sharing.
@BleepinJeep, What about us with 8274's, you dont have a line long enough!
That's why we make the 12' splicable version
Great work, "Just Josh"!! 😂
Pvc pipe make a frame put the pipe in the light hangers won't fall put on the edges and it won't take up space
Looks great, I’m going to send you all of my toys to build and paint
The Chinese were making fun of us dude😂
Breaking Bad comment will get you more "Jeep" parts!....LOL
@robbie layton take care - bleepinjeep has their own paint booth now 🤣🤣 blow - tack and static 😂josh
Watch out Robbie!
Blow and tack I can do....don't have the static gun
The hose for the fan that pushed air in was twisted that’s why it wouldn’t stay full
Matt id say the old padding and frame probably a little wore out might go get some foam padding and add it to to center and the sides idk if that's the problem or not but it's a thought
Might be foam Shrinkage.. try removing it and using a steamer to revitalize the foam, and then Apply a layer of Dacron with Spray adhesive before applying the new cover.
It was the wrong dimensions, they ended up fixing it for me.
Where was the "The blow tac and static"? Jokes aside you both did a great job👍
Josh may forget who he is, but I bet he'd never destroy an Orivs Edition Grand Cherokee ZJ in great condition by rolling it down a steep hill with a diesel tow strap tied around the engine.
Oh we would for sure. Have you seen his grand Cherokee?
Don't forget to blow, tack, and static, 😂 Robie Layton's got nothing on you guys 🤔😁😂
DON'T FORGET TO CUP THE BALLS
You’re going to have to get him another Vehicle book 😂
U shood fill up the pillers with fome and put it out side 😊
Nice
Portable greenhouse in a box... lol
I bet the hot sun will shrink the material
I’m surprised you didn’t make a temporary frame for support when it deflates. Make them in sections for storage etc.
PVC, might have to work on that to hold the lighting for the next paint job.
Hey Josh I need to paint my Jeep sir Robbie would appreciate your work as I do.
