    Also, have you thought about a battery upgrade for the tractor? I know it's not really comparable, but my ride-on lawnmower always had trouble starting (like your tractor), even on a good day. When I tried starting it this winter, it just wouldn't go, even after days on a charger, so I switched the battery for on with more cranking amps, and boy did that make a difference. Now it starts at idle, no choke, even on cold days. Being able to spin that engine a bit faster always makes a huge difference.

    • @DieselCreek
      @DieselCreek  Před 3 lety +5

      The battery that’s in there is about as big as you can get with just one battery and there’s not room for two. The engine is just old and tired, doesn’t have as much compression as it used to and I think I am still getting air in the fuel system somehow and diesels don’t really like that. That’s why cylinder number three took so long to come in

    Matt, I think you don't understand the lifeline you are tossing out when you make one of your videos. There are bunch of folks who are watching their world go bleaker every day and you are giving them a blast of Can Do, sass and humble 'Merican ingenuity that they need more than some pathetic crumb from the Feds or BS formula "reality" (cough cough) show.
    For those of us who can and would love to be a tiny part of honoring your late grandpa, thanks for the opportunty!!!

    Well said! While I think a lot of people started watching for this particular project, I can say you bring a lot of variety to the channel and that’s what content is all about. You’ve grown a lot from ripping your ‘91 ranger to getting your play button! I may not be able to do 75% of the stuff you can, but I still find it interesting and I’m able to learn a lot! Keep up the good work!
