"it's just like driving a really big car"
"But I'm not good at driving"
"That's true"
Had me laughing so hard
HAHAHAHAHAHA me too
@@kd5byb First woman in history to make that comment. LMAO
She missed all of the trees :)
Hilarious!!!
either is my wife......... but she would never admit it.
Your wife is a real character and I mean that in a good way. She is very entertaining to watch. Does she do standup? lol
"Brakes don't do anything" "The other left" Some great moments
"Don't even touch em" LOL
Give the girl credit she-drove it
Sounded like most husband wife conversations when it comes to motorized equipment... LOL.
in the words of the mighty peg ......"you dont need brakes"
You could hear her mumbling off camera at one point “who’s this we you’re talking about?”
Oh man, your wife had me cracking up. She is a keeper.
Maybe it is safer if she uses a helmet.
I was just about to say that and you beat me to it.
It's his sister he sayd
They grow 'em dumb in Trumpland.
@@Tjezie @9:07 and 20:57 he calls her his wife
So admire Mrs Matt for her willingness to jump behind the wheel of that mountain of machinery and just give it a go! And to stand well into harm's way to guide that cab into a safe resting spot. You go girl!
Excellent! Matt really appreciates the help too.
Ms. "Creek", you just did more driving of heavy equipment than 90% of the people watching this video. You did good, you didn't knock down any trees or dent the machine. Can't ask more than that.
Thank you for the boost in confidence!!
Ms creek, I, as one, used to go with my mother whenever she had to drive the lumber truck to town and deliver the lumber to mill, My grandfather's sawmill. The truck had a six cylinder engine, one four speed transmission, and a two speed brownie transmission. I was four years old then, and I'm 78 years old now. I, myself thought you did rather well on the steering and such, little oversteer, but you just have to get used to it. What I thought was great was the fact that you did not hesitate to jump in and start driving. Kudos to and for you. Michael said that, bye for now girlfriend.
Devacreek done good! Didn't even damage anything
As a kid I was excited when my step-dads friend let me pull some of the levers in his excavator as he was tearing down an old house. It was awesome making a wall come down.
Eevie is a trooper. She helped out a ton with cleaning and repairing the old church building they bought.
The "are you crazy" look your wife gave you when you said she was going to drive the loader was priceless.
I think she gives him that look every time he comes up with one of his "cunning plans". :-)
Looked more like, “The sh*t you get me into……”
Hats off to your wife, she just jumps in and has a go.
How can people dislike these kind of videos ? He’s a regular guy that enjoys doing what he likes to do
I love the flex and the confidence in the miss’s after she threw that wheel block down. Absolutely killed me
Man: "We are going to pull the crane truck over here now."
Wife: "We.......?"
Your wife is such a cool woman.
A cool woman indeed - but the speeded up sequence of her driving the big yellow was hilarious
that look at 9:18 haha
She's a good sport!
yes he dose have a good woman
Your wife is amazing
First time meeting Mrs. DieselCreek...and I loved the faces she made operating that big machine. I do hope you feature more videos with her. Don't know if she actually likes this kind of stuff but, she didn't back down from it and wasn't scared on putting effort on stuff...and that to me is a win! Congrats.
Yeah, seeing her standing on top of the engine gave me a chuckle and I gave her two thumbs up for it.
I first saw her at the church cleaning out the basement. Her name is Eva
I like the name “Mrs creek”
@@bryangardner2365 agree.
I’m giving the wife mass kuddos for just getting in there and getting it done!
Your wife did well! She's willing to try, and she'll get the hang of driving the loader fast. Nice to have the help!
Should paint that loader up in her favourite colour.
Then she'll come out & finish learning to run it.
Reminds me of the first time I got my daughter in the skid steer to pull me out in the dump truck. Told her she was gonna have to pull me out. The look I got! But she was game and she was loving it once she got the hang of it.
He got the best sidekick ever. His wife is one tough woman
Cute too
@Ken Mason curly hair+ big nose+high pitch unsufferable voice...you know shes one of them
OMG.. your wife is awesome!! so brave driving that front end loader the first time on camera too. Kudos to her.
it's nice to see your wife helping you to do these things well done
The Mrs. is just what a wife is, a help right beside you. Every time we see the two of you working together she will jump in and make it happen. That is success, plain as day.
Hello frank
How are you doing
Mrs. D.C. Is a little salty. I love how she just jumps in and does the stuff you ask her to even when she doesn't feel like sh is good at it. You know you made the right choice when she jumps in and works by your side.
My face when he said it might be a bullet hole😮
@@devacreek4852 You did great, Deva! Believe it or not, Matt is doing a whole lot with a very little. He sees gold where other people see trash, and everything he learns he gets to keep. With his skills he can keep entire farms and homestead properties running.
I mean no disrespect, your wife is very attractive and she jumps right there and helps you. Love her spunk! I always wanted to learn how to operate big machinery.
Anybody else having "My Cousin Vinnie" flashbacks?
@@blueyes0152 I get that a lot
I like so much the fact that he doesn't coerce people to donate. He says if someone is willing to help. That is decency and common sense. Congratulations to the owner for the amazing work that he does.
Yay! Your boss did a great job of moving the big loader! She's one of the bravest deer in a headlight I've ever seen.
We hope to see a little more of her.
She doesn’t appear to like the big toys like u do but she sticks her nose in there, give her credit 💪
Absolutely. Idk if my wife would have the guts to hop in that beast and give it a whirl lol. Ms. Creek is a hell of a champ!
Price of the Loader $4000, Watching the wife drive Priceless.
Oh Matt I just found this episode!! Priceless.....Something we all encounter and have to deal with
Memories like these make a great marriage......or not!
Mrs Creek is Awesome!! I don't think I'd ever want to make her mad; she's strong! 🙂
Wife: Why don't you get nice things?
Matt: I got you baby!
I hope you appreciate that Matt, Ms. DC is an awesome lady.
These kinds of projects are meant to draw you closer together and give you more character and memories!!!!!
Your wife is cool. Love the channnel
@@the.porter.productions Matt is unaware that he will be the "hubbly assistant" on her new quilting youtube video next week.
Haha. The look on your wife's face was priceless. She is a good sport.
You're wife is hysterical! I worked 14 years for Tilcon North Branford CT as the Road Runner for the State of CT. I once moved a CAT 992 Face Loader. 2 stories tall, felt like a house, moved like an actual cat! I was once belleding brakes in my driveway. It has a wall on each side. On a Summer night at dusk. I needed my wife to pump the pedal. She said "I'm in my PJs". I told her "it's not a fashion show! and "you're sitting IN THE CAR!" Who's going to see you? Geez! Mrs Creek is a Champion in my book. Just ignore the bullet hole! LMAO!
How blessed you are. Wife understands your passion and jumps right in with you, knowledge, skill, equipment and space to work on it. Really enjoy your adventure.
The two of you…a mixture of Fred and Ethel; Abbott and Costello; Levern and Shirley. 😃😃👍
Larry, Darryl, and Darryl! 😂
Kudos to your lovely wife for stepping up and helping you. Her hustle on getting that block of concrete behind the wheel of the truck was impressive.
Cheers from Tokyo!
Stu
my wife and I never agree on a project, but I never could ask for anyone better in a crisis!
Hi, DC. Your wife is a brave lady. Doing all the chores you asked of her when she didn't know how to do them. Congratulations on scoring a winner. Thanks for sharing! Stay Healthy!
Your wife is great. At first she's all about I can't do that. Then suddenly she's right in there working on the truck and helping to get the cab lifted. She jumped up on the motor and did whatever you needed her to do. Great job!
On some of the old 5 speeds you had to put it in reverse to remove the top.Good job.My wife and I were diesel and truck mechanics. She worked with me over 35 years of the 66 years we have been married.Love your videos.
My hat is off to you and your wife Doyle Chandler. You folks make America Great, bless you
I love when you can work with your spouse as a team. 💚
It’s great seeing you work with your wife. And good for her for driving the loader the first time while being recorded.
1957 was a Great Year! I'm 65, and so is that Autocar! (I don't have near that much rust going on, but have just as many broken parts). Love the video and the series and the channel.!
Well Done Mrs dc
Most ladies wouldn’t even give it a go
Hello Allan
How are you doing hun
your wife seems cool. her saying but "im not good at driving" killed me lol
The cherry on top was Matt immediately agreeing with her.
At least she knows. To many of em don't know they're a terror behind the wheel
Each time i see her, she seems grumpy.
Followed by "look is that a bullet hole?". It seems like everything in America has bullet holes :D!
The first step to getting help is admitting you have a problem lol ! I’m sure he’ll give her some driving training lol
"Why don't you buy nice things..." Yeah, I have heard that before.
Ms. Creek made this video very, very amusing!
“Why can’t you buy nice stuff that’s not all rusty??”
What Matt wanted to say: BECAUSE IF I SPENT THE MONEY ON A NEW ONE YOUD BE PLANNING MY FUNERAL OR SIGNING DIVORCE PAPERS
Amen to that
Relation of my cousin Vinny....
Truth!
Right?! to get something like that for cheap used car money, it's not going to be a Lamborghini tractor. you plow with the horse you have 😂
Be good
In spite of her lack of confidence, your lovely assistant still tries (and succeeds!) - much respect to her for that.
OMG, Your wife was precious! What a trooper!
With his training she will become an asset to rely on in the future,as well as helping in a pinch where you need a second set of hands. She really will trust you to do things safely.
Your wife is a hoot. The quotable lines kept coming. "Why can't you buy NICE things, Matt?". "It stinks in here! Is that a BULLET HOLE??" :)
My wife and I can't even turn on a light switch together and we've been together near 50 years! You're a lucky man!
Oh man, your wife had me cracking up. she just jumps in and has a go. She is a keeper.
Looking forward to seeing more content on this. I love old trucks like these. All your videos are awesome. Not only are they a way to learn about working on machines I haven't worked on but they're great entertainment. I love your channel. It's one of the few that I can watch everything over and over again. Stay awesome stay humble.
" why can't you buy anything that isn't rusty?" love that :) She is a firecracker. I love it!!
Just before she swore in italian!
@@n3glv That's the way. Swear and get it done.
I’m beginning to wonder if your wife may have had an older sister who was given up for adoption...🤔
If so, I married her! Aside from the Italian profanity (mine curses fluently in English😉) but all of her comments sounded vaguely familiar.
Mine has been quoted countless times saying “Why must you try to make us look poor?”😳🤣🤣
Bless’ns to ya, Tedd
His reply (just as salty) "Because it would be a $100,000".
@@sp1nrx is that a ham call? de n3glv here!
I'm very happy that you included her chocking the wheels -- especially after she told you to. She's a sparkplug!
your wife is a hell of a trouper, and she puts up with you, that's a plus
Watching this in May 2023. Pretty amazing how much has changed at your property in the past year
Yah I feel like it’s slow but when I watch these old videos I feel better
Your wife looks like she's a lot of fun.
Lucky you Matt.
I love the rotating intros every video, and now we have one with the Autocar. 👍🏻
You and all the people with a significant others are so lucky. I have to do extra rigging, set up. bracing ect, because I only have the one seto f hands, kudos to Mrs. Creek for getting stuck in and lending a great helping hand!
Wow... Your wife is so lovely and understanding with your passion... All the best for both of you...
The driveway looks excellent!
Your misses is priceless and very brave!
My wife would flat out refuse to drive a loader!
Massive Respect from New Zealand.
I think Mrs Creek should be a regular feature, She is very humorous and quiet handy as a third and forth hand and of course adds a whole extra vibe to the channel :)
I don't know what blew my mind more, the water in the trans, or the fact that ALL FOUR of the cab bolts came right out!
I think how you manage to work mostly solo is very inventive. Loving the old truck 👍
i really love that the matt hast mat written on it... because it is matt´s mat. and it works at least as good as matt
“ I’m not good at driving “ 😭 oh God I love her ! Really . She’s great . When the Autocar is on the road , would love to see her throwing gears on it . The look on her face when the engine started was priceless . She is absolutely fun 👍 always welcome mrs. diesel creek ✌🏻she is fearless .
I do my best!! Lol
Wife Runs over with wood chock for the wheels: “make sure that’s in the video!” 😹
Lol your wife is such a yankee, watching her drive the loader was hilarious 😂
Aloha from Hawaii, Bud. I just watched this vidya and I think you're a decent dude. 👌Mint. Y'all're doing what we do w the equipment and the busted knuckles, the hard work and the old trucks. Mahalo, Bud.
I'd give your wife an "A" for first time driving an articulating vehicle. Blink your eyes and you're going in the opposite direction thinking, "WT..." LOL She's a good swamper, too. My late wife was a keeper, too.
Good catch on the bearing.

Sorry for your loss life is tough when we loose people we love.
When your wife is rigging the cab of an old Autocar for you- you know it's some real love Matt!
Great work!! Live that your wife is involved, too! While you’ve got the transmission apart, you might consider applying Thin Dense Chrome (aka Armoloy) to the gears. It’s cheaper and more effective than hard chrome, plus it cuts the mesh friction in half. Just a thought.
boy its been said alot on here, but you got a good little lady. Any time your better half comes out to help is a great time. Keep her coming on the videos. Good job little lady for driving.
Always a treat when your wife shows up. You’re so good at advising her how to drive that loader. A lot of guys talk down to their wives or lose patience and get them all upset but you two work good together. She’s a keeper. 😊
Wouldn’t dare talk down to my wife. She’s been running a successful restaurant for several years.she’s smart and well educated. Now that I’m completely retired and disabled, l depend on her and my son to run the business and she does a better job of that than many people could.
It would seem that the Mrs. is gaining a substantial fan base! She is an impressive lady who will get into heavy equipment and learn on the fly. Get her some gloves and then flowers and I would suggest that you
put her at your side when ending these videos. You know …….. “Happy Wife equals
Happy Life!”
I’m fairly sure that I seen the majority of your videos and have enjoyed everyone.
Thanks for taking the time to direct/produce these scenes while being deeply involved in all the work and thinking required in restoring these ole beauties.
What a simp
At the 18:30+ mark, I'm saying Woa!!.... I thought that perhaps you forgot to unbolt the support rods at the firewall for the radiator, as I was watching the radiator shroud being pulled backwards as you were initially trying to lift the cab! Whew!! That wife of yours is little "pistol"... as the ole saying goes... "dynamite, comes in small packages"!! lol..... and in her case, that's a compliment! Love how she just got right in there with you, and went for it..... She's Definitely Not a "prissy" like so many, these days! She's definitely a "Keeper"... you're a Blessed young man!! Enjoy and treasure her... and each other, and you'll have a long life together.
Love your video's... subscribed about a year ago, with the first video of yours that I found and watched, and have "liked" all of them.
PS: The very first truck I ever drove (as a present to me on my 13th birthday) was a big "A"Car (DC-9964 - OHNES.. special order), Cummins NH 250 (with the "back-drop" exh. manifold & dual straight pipes), with a double "over" 5x4. It was a dump truck, with an 18 yd (water level) body, plus 16" side boards for extra capacity.
Always had a "special place" in my heart for the big square fender "A"Cars... and twin sticks, but my favorite power has Always been the 2 cycle Detroits, and have owned 3 semis with V12 power (modified) and "sticks".
Cool old 1957 Autocar DC75 Truck Don't see these much anymore These days Matt @Diesel Creek
The look on your wife's face!!! Oh my friend I haven't laughed so hard in years! Thanks for sharing that! Seriously loving the Auto Car series. I'm in on the Patrion fund!
your wife actually did a real good job. she is a blessing to you.
The year I was born. So cool. Nice truck. Talk about tuff! 90 percent water yet still functional. Wow.
One of the things I love about this channel, and one of the reasons why I subscribed, is that you get more value/minute !!
Meaning a lot less of the BS added into 30 minutes, whatever it is.
Makes it so much more interesting and entertaining.
Thank you so much for that.
Sincerely,
Rod
Matt, I laughed so hard this morning. She's a RIOT! Please tell her that I'm a fan. Maybe put her in Christine when she's running again? Stay safe & keep her happy.
Eva proved her worth at the church clean out. This is an encore performance. We viewers appreciate her hard work.
i love this truck.. I grew up riding in a couple 60's, 70s AUTOCARS, and WHITE tandems hauling lumbing, pressure treated lumber.. With 6-71's, and quad boxes.. Learned too drive them around the yard. would love too find one these for myself like this and do what your doing, too use too pull our equipment, haul logs.. keep up the work.
I truly enjoyed your wife helping you in the video. Whether she intended or not, she added some chuckles to the action!
She needs to have her own coveralls. Excellent!
Matt I love when you have you wife do stuff. She's hilarious. Cool thing about it is it doesn't look like you have to urge her to drive stuff. She looks like she is super willing to do it. You have a super cool chick. But nothing....and I mean nothing, has topped the "You are taking all my strength" bit yet while pulling that bed on your ranger. Thanks dude!!!
We’re going to get the crane truck. She says, “What’s this we bullcrap?”
Isn't she the best!
There is not too many wives that are help their husbands do stuff like this you're lucky man but your wife helps you every once in awhile that's awesome
Matt, you are so good at what you do. Thank goodness your wife can drive the front end loader. 🙂
My outfit choice was on point 👌🏼😂
You need fluorescent yellow high-viz safety leggings!
Love the curls
He even made sure to include you carrying that wheel chock in the video😂😂
The best background tracks on youtube. They turn into a real jam session for me. I practice my lead licks over them.
"I think this storm gone have some tigers in it." That's a brilliant one right there!
My older brother used to fix diesels; Diamond Reo, Mack, Freightliner, etc, when I was a kid. Then he went off to Vietnam. So elated when he returned.Your wife operates pretty well on that big loader!"
Honestly I just wanted to say I’ve learned a lot from you! You don’t get frustrated or upset when things take a long time, you are patient and calm.... and funny as hell! Haha. Every now and then you throw in a joke and I always laugh. Keep it up man. Great work.
At least when the cameras rolling haha
I'm laughing at her steering the loader all over the place while remembering me driving one of those for the first time. Pretty much the same result except no one recorded mine!
Nice to see your wife giving you a helping hand. She is scared to do it , but jumps right in and tries. I remember my first time driving a loader. Takes a bit to get use to pivoting in the middle. She did Great! Kudos to her!
Pucker factor on this video! Your wife has a pair on her, she was in some shady spots. Awesome that she's down to help, thanks for another entertaining 30 minutes!
lol your wife's facial expressions are priceless
Got me to and when she said why can't you buy nice things I lost it.
We need more videos of you and your wife she is funny.. it's like driving a car but I'm not good at driving 🤣😂😅
I’m not lol especially big heavy equipment! I’ll keep working on it
You've got a good woman there....she's a keeper. Keep her safe buddy!
You are blessed with a wife that's a good worker. Looking forward to seeing your project done.
Kudos to mrs. creek, she ain’t scared o’nuthin, she’s brilliant, hats off mrs. creek 👍👍👍😁

Not demanding gloves or a hard hat…..she’s a keeper !!

Enjoye d that. Your wife’s face was priceless when you got her into that loader 😂
I so agree. My wife would have punched me
It was cool to see you include the your Wifey-Poo on this project. You two work great together as a team!
I cannot wait to see the update to this AutoCar Transmission project!
Well done, Matt!
You REALLY need to include her in more videos. I was cracking up. Good for you both have fun in life.
