2024 Patio Open Part 5: Fan Service And Test

In this part, it's time to service the 1981, and 1982 Hunter Original ceiling fans. The '81 went smoothly, but the '82 needed a bit more disassembly to get running smoothly again. After a few years under the patio, it was time to change the oil, too. All serviced up, and ready for summer 2024.

I never knew fans had oil? I’m enjoying this new world of CZcams I have discovered! 😂

Most have sealed bearings, but if you see this style, it's bearings take oil. That's a common failure with these, to never have the oil checked, and they eventually seize up.
