Thank you so much. I wish I could have watched you put the bias binding on. I'll charge on ahead and hope I can get it to work. I've never put binding on anything round before. Loved your fast and easy demo. I have a brand new oak table from the Stickly company. I certainly don't want to leave any food stuff items on that table. I'm planning on leaving the center piece on permantly and add the side place mats when we eat on the table. so glad I found you. I already watched about five videos before coming to yours which is exactly what I need!!!

Curved placements are exactly what my daughter asked me to make for her this Christmas. She has a 46” diameter table. I found a brand new twin bed quilt at the thrift store. It’s perfect. I’ll make my own bias binding. Thank you for your help. The video and blog post are great.

Thank you for letting me know and your kind words. What a great idea to use the twin bed quilt. That makes so much sense. Good luck with the project. It's one of my favourites.

I am so happy I find you and your video on these adorable table setting!!! I have been so badly wanting to make a cute shabby chicish farmhouse style round set for my old-time distressed table... I'm making them with short little Bible verses and pockets so I use then to eat and also do Bible study or morning devotion...These will be so darn cute with my little inspiration verses on then.. You are the only one I have found to do this!!!! God bless you & thank you for sharing!!

That's cool, I have a square table, that sits 4 comfortably, but can sit 8, if we have company. I need to configure 8 placemats that will fit and not overlap. I've thought about making 2 long ones for 2 sides, then 2 shorter ones on the other sides. Circle ones don't really work for me, but oval ones might. I still have to decide.

I'm wondering if you have a suggestion for making 6 placemats with this same pattern?

Hi peggy. The only thing that comes to mind is you divide the outer circle into six pieces rather than four. I imagine it would have to be a big table, because witih smaller ones, you'd get some pretty small placemats!
