    I really like a product from SPIbelt. They make an adjustable belt similar to the one you showed. It's designed for runners but they now market to diabetics. I wear mine 24/7, and when I'm in casual clothes without pockets (pajamas, gym clothes, etc) I slip my pump into it. It's very comfortable. And they have reasonable prices, no shipping, and regular sales ;-) And once when I had a problem with one, they sent a replacement the next day. Love 'em!

    Danica; Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I'm over 60, male .... but I realize it take time and your own personal life to make them. 1st I was misdiagnosed and docs were arguing T1 or T2 and the whole thing was SO STRESSFUL. Well you showed me how to master my DEX, data from it strongly suggested a version of T1. Your lighthearted approach is actually something I needed to get used to be "connected" to CGM, and then two weeks later my pump. and the whole life of IDDMT1w.comp. At least the mood of your videos reminded me that if a young lady could cope and have a smile, there must be some hope for me. I always look forward to your progress. YOU GO GIRL!

    LOL! As many viewers that you have and as witty as you are...not having you as a sponser is ridiculous. Even my instructors in Columbus, Ohio knew who you are and recommended you to me, for my diabetic insulin pump. (which I greatly appreciate)

    Do you have any advice for how to wear a pump with more revealing clothing like crop tops? I'm thinking the sports bra might be helpful, but it might look weird with a scrappy shirt. Would you ever take a break from the pump to have more freedom with clothing? Or does that sound stupid? I was kind of thinking about taking a break for the summer, with swimming and everything...

    • @chelseacherry5638
      @chelseacherry5638 Před 8 lety

      Personally, I get tired of wearing and changing my pump sometimes, so I turn to taking shots. Maybe you could try shots?

    What do you use to hold your pump in place while swimming? We are heading to the beach this summer with my 8 yr old daughter and this will be our first summer with Type 1. She has the animas vibe.

    • @elliekilmon4999
      @elliekilmon4999 Před 8 lety

      My family goes to the beach every year and honesty I just don't wear it while swimming. Eventhough it is water proof my animas has gotten water damage on vacation before and it was not fun trying to find a pharmacy to get lantus at the beach. Just make sure she takes frequent breaks to check her sugar and when she is out of the water hook back up. Also make sure you have those plugs to go into the set otherwise it can get filled with sand and you won't be able to reconnect without changing the whole set. If you definitely want to try to keep it on because of the cgm she can try to use a one piece or take an old pump pouch take out the straps and put the strings of the bikini to replace the straps then you can situate it so it's under her arm or just hangs in the back sprig where the knot would normally be. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, I've been diabetic for 14 years and was diagnosed when I was 3 so I might have some suggestions

      If your talking about the insertion site I use a thing called a "diaband" to cover my pump and cgm when in water and it helps keep it on amazingly! Look up diaband on google and you should be able to find them.

    Danica, I really liked that video, but I have to admit, I was a little disappointed to see that neither Anna PS, Hid-In, nor Flipbelt made that endocrine system shirt I thought of, with the pancreas as the pump pocket, and the stomach as the snack pocket.
