    I would love help figuring out how to assign pre outs to FL, FR, C. I have a 3 channel amp powering the front stage and the denon x4500h should be power the rest of the speakers, but the pre outs haven’t been assigned. Can’t seem to figure out how to do that and I feel like if I don’t, my amp is essentially useless. Please help!

    I have the avr x1700h and I don't have half of those settings. When I hit audio, I only get Subwoofer level, Surround perameter, Restorer, Audyssey, Manual eq is blacked out and there is lastly Remote Control. I don't even have a volume, just the subwoofer level. I did the setup with the mic but don't know how to readjust like center or eq's. Very disappointing.

    Hi. Great video. I just bought the Denon AVRX4700H. In the manual I don't see a connection configuration that will represent the speakers I have to connect to it. There will 5 floor speakers (FR, FL, C, SR, SL, plus 2 Dolby enabled FHR, FHL (assume connect to Height 1) but I also want to Bi-Amp the Front Klipsch 8060's, and would likely use the Height 2 connections for that. They have 7.1 channel:Bi-Amp Connection of Front Speakers in the manual, but in that configuration they show an SBR and SBL which I do not have. When I hook up all the speaker wires and run Audyssey, will it figure out the correct configuration to ASSIGN? Thank you in advance for any replies.

    • @TyEichele
      @TyEichele  Před 6 měsíci

      No, to my knowledge you have to have that all set prior to running Audyssey. I would search some forums to see if you can find an answer to your question, or double check the speaker config options to figure out what matches your setup best. But those settings do need to be set prior to Audyssey. Good luck!

    I wish you had disabled audyssey and shown the graphic EQ. Number of bands and level of dB adjustment per band would have been nice to see. Will the speaker assign allow you to go down to a 3.1 setup? I'm currently only running Front L/R + Center and sub while I decide on what I'm doing for rears (5.1.2, or 7.1, etc...). Also, does it allow lossless playback from the various apps in Heos. I have Deezer, and want to be able to play uncompressed quality directly from the receiver.

    • @TyEichele
      @TyEichele  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I honestly don't use HEOS so am unsure of that question. You'll have to Google it and hopefully find your answer somewhere else. I'm pretty sure you can go down to a 3.1 channel setup, but again in all honesty I've never tried it personally, so don't know about that for sure. I'd Google the owners manual for the AVR and check that option out. You can find them online. Good luck!

    Hello Ty. Great video as I am on the verge of purchasing a 4700 (or the Marantz 7015 cousin). My small appartemnt (and neighbors) force me to set up a 3.0 configuration (with 2 Dynaudio Emit 30 for L&R and a 25 for center). No sub, no back, no height,... Do you know whether the speaker set up menu allows this amp to work with such a reduced configuration? Note the Dynaudio's do not allow for bi amping/wiring. Many thanks!

    • @TyEichele
      @TyEichele  Před rokem +1

      I believe everything is customizable to get it to where you need it, yes. If you look in the manual, found here: manuals.denon.com/AVRX4700H/NA/EN/GFNFSYcrpfrlsu.php
      you can select if you have surrounds, heights, atmos, etc. and either select how many of them you have, if they are in the front or the rear, or leave it at None. Then when you get to your amp assign menu you can further adjust settings based on where you speakers are located in your room. Check the manual for more details, but hopefully that makes sense!

    Hello. I recently watched your bass shaker install video and found it very helpful as I also had an older receiver I wanted to use to power the shakers. My man receiver is a Denon S570bt. My spare receiver is a Denon AVR-E200. I’m running a cable from my 2nd sub out on my main receiver into the coax DVD input in the 2nd receiver. I’m pretty confident I wired it correctly but I’m receiving nothing from the shakers which are the Dayton Audio 50w shakers. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    • @johnmitchell9219
      @johnmitchell9219 Před 4 měsíci

      Follow up question. Should the receiver for the bass shakers be set to the same output as the main receiver (i. E. Blu-ray)-or the input I have the coax plugged into (I. E. Sat or DVD) ?

    • @TyEichele
      @TyEichele  Před 4 měsíci

      You might have it wired correctly, just make sure the 2nd receiver is set to the input coming from the main receiver. My old receiver has a 'direct' setting, meaning it doesn't change the signal coming from my main Denon AVR and just passes the signal through after amplifying it. I also have a speaers A or B option on my older receiver, and I have to make sure they are both turned on in order to activate all the channels I am using on the old receiver. It's probably a settings problem - so just keep messing with it until you get it right.

I have done this and although the cd player is running I am not getting any sound through. Is there anywhere I need to go into the settings to get the sound coming through and also with optical cable connected to the media player optical do I need to use cd or media player for the sound to come through. I have a much older Denon amp, so it may not be the same, but you need to tell it which digital input to use for the CD, as they are assignable. Somewhere in the settings (probably input assign) you should be able to choose between the various optical and coaxial inputs for when you select the CD source. If you have the CD plugged into optical input 1, select OPT1 in that menu.

      Could be lots of reasons. However, keep in mind if they have been properly set up (Audessey for example) you won't hear a ton of volume from them. They are more noticeable in some movies than others. Depends on the movie. The movie track also has to be playing in Dolby Atmos for heights to have proper sound coming from them. You can turn the volume up on them a decibel or two after your speaker calibration but you don't want to increase it too much to be overpowering your bed layer speakers. Hope this makes sense some. Good luck

      Does it only happen at more bass heavy scenes? If so, maybe. Easy thing to try would be to raise the crossover and watch the same scene again to see if it makes a difference. I'm sure there are multiple possibilities of what could cause your issue, just have to start making small changes and see if you can narrow it down. LFE + Mains is that it sends bass signals away from the speakers to the subs so it don't stress out the speakers.
    One thing I'd like to know if you can help with? What resolution do you get from the Denon setup on screen? I have a 4k tv but I only get 1080p 50hrz from that source? I've looked everywhere in the menu system & can't find anything? I don't have any HDMI's connected to the av receiver for inputs, I'm only using the arc HDMI output port on the back of the AVR for seeing the Denon setup on screen.

    • @TyEichele
      @TyEichele  Před rokem +1

      I think you have that opposite?
      LFE - Uses AVR crossover, to pass low frequencies to the subwoofer. Lets say you set them at 120hz, any lower frequency than that will be taken care by sub and higher will be handled by speaker.
      LFE + Main - This will pass all of the bass or low frequencies to the subwoofer, in most of the AVRs the fronts run full range. Normally when you run speakers as large, the sub doesn't get the low frequencies.
      As far as only getting a 1080p picture from the setup menu, I'm guessing that is all the setup menu is. You really need to connect something with a 4k source to an input and then re-check because I'm guessing that will solve your issue. Good luck!

      @@litzy7892 You shouldn't have to be connected to the internet to access the settings menu. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working. Have you tried a Google search for the user manual online, and looking through that for your answer? That's what I'd try next if you haven't. Good luck!

    Hi Ty
    I was wondering if you could help me in this matter.
    I am running my Denon x4700h through B&W 603s and though I fully understand where the speaker cables go in the back of the reciever for bi-wire, once I have done this and the cables are in the back of the 603s for bi- wire can you tell me where I need to go to in the reciever to configure it for bi- wire please as I cant seem to find the setting or where to go to.
    Thank you
    Martin from the UK
    Great vid by the way

      Hello and thanks for watching. You have a good question - and my answer is to always refer to the owners manual. There are multiple ways of bi-wiring speakers, and various setups, etc. Just look through the owners manual or do a google search for it for your specific AVR until you find the connection you are looking for. For example, here is a bi-wire diagram from a Denon receiver on a 7.1 setup. I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about for sure or not, but just look through the manuals until you get it. 👍

      @@TyEichele Hi Ty
      Thank you so much for replying as its much appreciated. Thanks for the diagram but I have already looked online and got up the same diagram of which you suggested. That side of it is no problem its when I go in to the menu in the AVR reciever is where I need to configure 5.1 bi -wire setting. I look again in the manual but thanks for your help.

      Hi Ty
      Just want to say thank you so much for your help. I've set up all the cables up for Bi-wire and went into the AV Reciever to set up. Went to amp assign and went into the 5.1 bi-amp zone 2 setting and all works fine. Again thank you so much. All the best to you.

    Turn all Denon Dynamic-crap off and enjoy! Never was happy with the Sound of my X4700H so I turned off: Loudness Management (to find unter Surround - Parameters and only shown at Dolby Inputs) and Dynamic EQ. The only thing I use is Dynamic Volume late at night or Cinema EQ to cut off some Highs if needed.

      That's exactly how I run mine too. I haven't even tried Dynamic EQ out yet

    Really good information and appreciate your insight but the background music is way too loud making your points hard to hear and watching the video difficult.

      Absolutely not! I definitely don't have the best of the best - I built my theater with a budget in mind. You can tell by the Behringer nx3000 amp I'm using for my subs! 🤣🤣 (very cheap amp)

    Hi my friend. Nice video. I tried to adjust the sound from the Odyssey and my subwoofers play very little, almost not at all, and I have despaired of this amplifier. apart from that, he has put a limit on my plus one volume. and he doesn't let me increase the volume more . I am honestly disappointed with this Denon receiver. with the pioneer, which was 7.1, I never had such problems, the receiver was really awesome!!!

    • @TyEichele
      @TyEichele  Před rokem +1

      Hmmm.....hard to tell for sure what is going on, too many possibilities. You can turn up the Subwoofer output in the settings menu - but it's best to keep this in the negative numbers to keep the load off of the receiver itself and prevent clipping from occuring. Continue some trial and error with different settings and hopefully you will get it figured out. I'm sure it'll all work great in the end!

      @@TyEichele if i work it manually and no Odyssey?? I think this is the best. My subs are. Klipsch 15 inch and svs pb 2000 pro and the results is horrible 😰
