    I was kicked out of my church, because of what the bible said "cast the wicked man out from among you, God will judge those on the outside, are we not to judge on the inside. So it was just me and God. My faith has grown so much and now I am what "they" call "universalistic". I love Jesus and he and God love me now, even more than ever and has shown me so much more now! I finally understand what unconditional love and unearned mercy and grace are!

      Exactly. Too bad, this Pastor, and most other American pastors, forgot these very simple, scriptures;
      2 Corinthians 5:19 that God was reconciling the WORLD to Himself in Christ, NOT counting men’s sins against them.
      Hebrews 9:26b But he has appeared once FOR ALL at the culmination of the ages to DO AWAY WITH SIN by the sacrifice of himself.
      Hebrews 10:10 And by that, we HAVE BEEN made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once FOR ALL.
      1 Timothy 4:9-11 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves FULL acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of ALL men, AND especially of those who believe.
      Luke 19:10 For the son of man came to seek and save that which was lost. (Did Jesus fail at what he came to do?)
      John 1:29 Behold the Lamb of God which TAKES AWAY the sins of THE WORLD. (When John the Baptist said this, was he confused?) 🤔
      Isaiah 53:6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid ON HIM the iniquity of us all.
      Romans 3:24 ALL are justified FREELY by His GRACE (Unmerited favor, there’s nothing you could do for it.) through the redemption that came BY Christ Jesus. (Not ourselves)

      You are deceived. The result of such an experience can only be this: finally arriving at the certainty of our Heavenly Father's (and Christ's) love for us. This can only happen IF and when we manage to uncover the lies and deceptions, since doing so would bring us to the proper sense of shame for a sin committed--the realization of having done wrong will then bring us to our knees in sorrow and repentance, where we can finally feel the overwhelming and immense Grace of our Heavenly Father (and finally feel how much He loves us).

      @@hatedbymanylovedbyfew3567 your post is sad to me. Its sad that you believe that judgemental , uncaring people completely represent a loving God. Jesus loves. period. And there are Jesus loving people who love and support Jennifer. You are making the same judgments those people are. One thing I love about Jennifer is her transparency in her struggles of life. We all have sins, we all have struggles. We have all had times we thought we were not enough. That is our common ground. But the great thing is God loves broken people, and is willing to meet us where we are. I choose to follow a God of love, and people who walk in love. Jennifer is a beautiful human, I applaud her strength for standing strong in her faith, despite all that have come against her.

There was no "choice" in how I've felt all of my life, my attraction to women, the choice was wether to follow it or not. It is and has been as natural to me as heterosexuality is to heterosexuals. I have been involved deeply in the church for at least 7-8 years. I love God. We are always "in the works", it doesn't mean he's done with me or anyone else. He may choose to reveal it, He may not.

    I think this is something we don't have the right to judge. It does say in the Bible that man should not lay with man. As a Christian we should love Jennifer, continue to pray for her and her relationship with the Lord. Let the Lord do the work in her life, and let us not hurt her with our own judgement. Christ loves her and forgives her, we should do the same. A sin is a sin.

  • @joshuacrunkleton4382
    @joshuacrunkleton4382 Před 10 lety +5

    Everyone sins. There is no "worst" sin. Sin is sin before God. What sets this kind of thing apart is that it denies sin and makes God out to be a liar. We all need Christ to save us from our sin. But we enter into darkness when we refuse to admit that sin is sin. And that's what's happening with all of this. We are being told that we can't call it sin anymore. Nothing like this has ever happened before in our country. I John -- If you say that you are without sin, you lie ad do not have the truth" The issue is DECEPTION. Not sin per se. Deception keeps us from confession of sin, which is the first step to being cleansed of it. We are in no place to judge Jennifer Knapp or any other sinner. We are all sinners. What we must do as the church is hold to the truth and not be swayed by deception. And pray for those who have been deceived.

    As a lesbian and a Christian I honestly thank God for Jennifer Knapp: for the courage He gave her to be herself and not be afraid to be who she is. Christians who judge like this idiot have no IDEA what the grace of God is. They have no idea what it's like to be judged by almost everyone they know. Anything this man says is based purely on ignorance and thus his words are empty and meaningless. You cannot claim to care about someone and say they are unnatural or perverted.

    It is not the pastor, who condemns homosexuality; it is God, who condemns it. God's Word is the standard. God is the judge. The pastor is merely presenting God's view. God did not create us to be happy or fulfill our dreams. God created us to glorify him. If Jennifer is sent to hell, it won't be for her sexual orientation, People go to heaven or hell based on their relationship with Jesus Christ. He demands repentance and obedience. That doesn't mean perfection. What it means is taking up our cross daily and following him.

    Also, we can only pray for someone for so long and then its up to the individual to heed the call and to return to Christ. God is love, yes, but He is more than that. Throughout the scriptures we see a God who abhors sin and we see how he deals with it and we should have true fear of Him. Fear not of Him, but fear of what He can do to us if we remain in our sins - that should be enough for us to turn and run away from those sins and run towards Him and into His loving arms.
    Also, in regards to those out there that say, well, its whats in my heart that is important. If I have this or that in my heart, it will be ok. But, I think we have forgotten what the Bible says about the heart. Lets read this verse, shall we. Jeremiah 17:9 states, from the New Living Translation
    "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?"
    So, if we as Christians or anyone just always follows what we feel in our hearts, then by looking at the above scripture, we are being deceived for our heart is the most deceitful of all things it says in Jeremiah. Only the One who has created us knows how bad it is, knows all of us, each and every one of us and all He wants for us is to return to Him, to come to Him, to lay down our pride, our feelings, our hate, our love, etc and just trust fully and completely in Him and follow all His words and in the end of it all, we will reap the reward of being faithful
    Also, I think we are seeing a new form of Christianity emerging and it seems to follow feelings, to say just look within your heart. To me, its just New Age trash wrapped up in a nice little package but its damaging to our souls. Christ is the ONLY ONE that can save us. Nothing else on earth will be able to set us free from ourselves, none other than Jesus, the Christ, Himself!
    One last thing, in regards to the whole judging one another - YES, we are to judge, but we are to judge one another according to righteousness and righteously judge a fellow brother or sister. If you see someone that once had a full life of Christ but now is in sin, would you not try to help them come back to their one true love - Jesus - or would you let them wallow in their sin and to live in disregard for His truth? In John 7:24 this is what it says in regards to judging one another
    New American Standard Bible
    "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."
    So many out there say and scream out - Only God can judge me, well, that is not full true. Why, yes, God will judge each and every one of us, we are also called to judge not according to appearances, but with righteous judgement of one another. All this Pastor is trying to do is throw out a rope, a lifeline, throw it out to Jennifer because he sees her drowning in sin, despite the fact she doesnt see it that way, that is all he is trying to do, to help her come back to her first love and that love was Jesus Christ
    I do know that many will not agree with what I have stated and will say that I am spewing hate, spewing lies, etc but nothing I have said is hateful. In fact, all I have said is in love and is the truth. Those in darkness will NOT come to or into the Light, who is Christ, for fear that their deeds, their sins, the darkness that they are in, for fear that it might be exposed and some people love the darkness, they thrive in it and once the light of Christ is shined upon them, they become angry and lash out because everyone can see their sins.
    We all are sinful. We all struggle with different sins - addiction, drugs, pornography, same sex relationships, pride, etc etc etc. But, despite what we may think or not even know, Christ is always there to call us back, His arms are always open to welcome us back home to Him. Once we do pass from this life, there are no more chances, no do-overs, so instead of standing on the so called hope of nothing existing after this life, what are people so afraid of by coming to Christ so that He can change them and make them free of their sins, so that one day, when they do pass, they can return to Him and live with Him for eternity. Despite what you may have heard or have not heard about Christ, He will always be there waiting for you to say yes to Him, to come to Him just as you are and He will be the one to clean you up, put a new heart into you, and give you new life and that life is Him

    This verse has been translated in as many different ways as there are different versions of the Bible, so we have to look at the original Greek to see what Paul was really saying. According to Thayer's Greek Lexicon, the word translated here as "male prostitute" is the Greek word malakos which literally means "soft to the touch." However, it was used metaphorically in a negative way to refer to a catamite (a boy kept for sexual relations with a man) or to a male prostitute in general.

    @EnChristosEime4life AND yes she does have a very valid point. Look at the King James Version, which is supposed to be the 1st version since the Greek and Hebrew text. The word "homosexual" or "homosexuality" is not used, it says effeminate. Look up that word in the Greek and Hebrew concordance, it doesn't mean "homosexual". Look for the word "homosexual" or "homosexuality" in the Greek and Hebrew concordance, it is not in there. So yes, good point Jennifer!

    Also, in regards to these 2 words Jennifer was speaking of - Arsenokoitai and Malakos. If you take these words and look them up in any Christian commentary of the Bible, etc, you will find what they mean. Take them to a commentary on the greek in regards to the Bible and you will see what they mean - biblehub.com/greek/3120.htm and biblehub.com/greek/733.htm Despite the fact that the meanings of these words are very plain so that people can see, there are some out there that still do not accept them because they, as the scriptures say, love their sins and would not want to come into the light so that there deeds can be seen, so they remain in the darkness.
    There are many, many articles that deal with these words and of course, there are going to be those that say these words have been mistranslated and they dont mean a certain thing, etc, but, those sites out there and articles out there remove themselves from truth because they long to be in darkness lest their deeds be exposed by Christ's light. Sad state of affairs when people just choose to live in darkness and do not choose Christ, but that is our free-will. We can choose to accept Him and choose to deny Him and in the end, our fate will be revealed and shown to us if we choose to deny Him. But, if we choose to accept Him and stay true to Him, repent, turn away from sin, then in the end, our fate will be glorious because we will finally know and see Him - the One who saved all of us, the One who has set us free - Jesus, the Christ, the Messiah, the Chosen One, Saviour and Lord of all
    God Bless and In HIm

You aren't forced to be christian so don't force christianity to be what it isn't. Everything, every faith, every walk of faith has a way it is defined and our definition comes from the scriptures. Judge a thing by the codes that define it and not your own moral relativistic views. If you say morality is relative then on what basis am I wrong if I say this doesn't conform to my own code?

    @innocencetube here here! LOL, but I don't know if I would use the word douchebag, in regard to a minister...just to be on the safe side. :-) But I agree that we all have differences in beliefs and faiths...her lifestyle choice or sexuality as others may call it, is between her and God. To judge her would bring certain judgement for ourselves. I am not willing or able to put myself on that pedestal. God bless her and keep her. My opinion on her lifestyle is irrelevant in regards to faith.

    So I have a question…people who have accepted Christ as their lord and saviour, and asked Jesus to reign over their lives, but are attracted to people of the same gender is sinful and abominable, and in danger of going to hell, because it’s a unrepenting, premeditated sinful lifestyle? So if you try to suppress those feelings to try and live a “true” and purer heterosexual lifestyle. Aren’t you living a lie, if you aren’t attracted to the opposite sex? Living a life with someone, having a child with them just to keep to a “normal”, pure standard, and accepting lifestyle seems wrong. It’s a controversial and contradictory slippery slope. I can see how many people who are lgbtq who genuinely love God, want to live truthfully an have a relationship with him, but yet feel denied and are rejected by many church organizations/families/denominations, look to end their own lives as a solution.

    This is why I hate the Christian music industry. The fans are okay with you, as long as you live according to their traditional church beliefs. If you deviate from that in any way, expect to lose half your fanbase overnight. It's the same thing that happened to Amy Grant, and so many others. For any music artist looking to go professional, here is a little tip: KEEP IT SECULAR.

Why are we assuming that God in all his Glory and being who He is would botch that???? and stop creation by having same sex relations....What if man decided that he still believes in Christ and it is his right to have sex with animals????? wouldn't that considered to be sin? but man should still fight for that right tho and then we can say God created him that way?

    sometimes i'm ashamed by fellow christian brothers and sisters for being so judgmental. love is universal, and our Heavenly Father, our God, our Savior, our Creator, and his son Jesus Christ loves us all. To use and impose on others of self interpretation of God's words is just so wrong. i'm not saying who is right or wrong, but clearly from this video, i sense alot of personal judgement from the Pastor and he seems somewhat concerned about what others might think of him when he attended Jennifer's concert back then. he has so much hatred for homosexuality that can be clearly seen and felt from this interview, and i believe that as God's child, we are not to be filled with so much hatred for thy neighbour or using God's words to point at others and we should love them as they are. Remember John 15:12 'My command is this: Love each other as I loved you.' John 15:17 'This is my command: Love each other' .... just my two cents worth

      Sometimes love doesn't come in a pretty pink bow of acceptance and toleration of sin and oh yeah do what you want... Jesus did forgive and then said son no more...We are called to not judge the world... but Jennifer Knapp is a believer who has chosen to live a lifestyle of sin, so would it be loving to just sit back and say ok do what you want to do, knowing the consequences of eternal torment and separation from God? Or is it loving to say Hey, you're going the wrong way and I don't want you to endure the consequences.

    Very sad. I've always enjoyed her music. But, it is sad that she is basically now condoning sin. The fact she seems to be turning her back on the way of the Eternal God. It's basically like saying Lord I don't love you enough to let you have all of me. The Bible calls us to 'sacrifice' ourselves daily as a sign of our love for Him, and I feel a lot of gay people seem to think that they get more of a 'pass' or 'pardon' from this and for their sin than everyone else. We all want to follow the desires of our flesh but that doesn't make it right and fitting before God. No, i don't think it means she is not saved but she's choosing her master, and it isn't God's way. What she seems to be missing is the premise of repentance. People can keep living how they want, with no fear of God now, but if the signs of the times aren't enough to convince that what the Word says is true, then your just foolish, and you will fall victim to 'falling away' as the Bible says many people would in these last days. Read your Word, Know your stuff and watch the times. That prophecy is obviously coming true.

I don't buy the hype that people are born gay. If she was born gay then your also saying we can confidently assume people are natural born thieves, murders, idolators, terrorists and so forth??? Like any sin, this is one that needs to be brought under submission to God too. People are just not committed to Him and want to find anything to validate their behavior and
      make excuse for it.

    Too bad, this Pastor, and most other American pastors, forgot these very simple, scriptures;

    Jesus loves homosexuals too. Christians have no place to judge anyone. Being Christian does not make you any better than any one else, because inevitably you will keep sinning.
    The only difference is the hope you have.
