YAY! I'm SO excited that you have made it around to reviewing some Journey! Their music was the soundtrack for my High School years. LOVE THEM!! Steve Perry was the lead singer until 1996 when he left the band due to medical issues. While their new lead vocalist, Arnel Pineda, is very talented, no one can replace Steve Perry (in my opinion). Another OJ-filled rabbit hole: Check out "Anyway you Want It" and "Feeling That Way"!! đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„
Journey...Don't Stop Believing!!! Love Steve Perry!! His voice is amazing!!!
Thanks Anne and canât wait for more đđ„đ„đ„đ„
@@ABtheKreator czcams.com/video/dcEudimJe2g/video.html
Here's a live version of Arnel the new vocalist that took Steve Perry place. I'm not a huge fan of live but this good!!! He's an amazing singer and worth checking out. All the other band members of journey remain.
The song is called "After all these years "
Nothing like playing this on vinyl. The 80s had the best sounds. đ”â€ïžđ„
Same. I was a marching band kid and summer nights after band practice weâd hang out in the parking lot with multiple car stereos blaring the same song. Journey, Bon Jovi, etc were always the bands playing.
That's the amazing STEVE PERRY he was called THE VOICE and he still is.
âI get the joy of rediscovering you â is the sexiest line ever written đ”đŒâźïžâ€ïžđ»
"Mother, Father - Live In Houston 1981"
Considered to be one of, if not THE, most pitch perfect vocal performances ever recorded.
Ohhhhhhh really đđđđđđđ
Never heard of it!
No one can touch Steve, of course. But their drummer, Deen Catronovo, did an amazing cover of "Mother, Father." czcams.com/video/-gomgFZsG-0/video.html
facts its mind blowing he did that night after night

Lovinâ, Touchinâ, Squeezinâ is my all time favorite Journey song.
Mine too!
Ohhh ok ppl like this choice also I see lol
@@ABtheKreator I left the same song in the comments đđ„đ„
I loved the first half, however did not care one bit for 176 na's in a row !!......2 repeats of that would have been enough.....LOL
Mine too!
"Don't Stop Believin" is a song you've probably heard, and might be their biggest hit. Also love "Separate Ways" and "Open Arms." Steve Perry was called "The Voice" and it's pretty obvious why. They have a deep catalog.
Ohhhh ok thanks đđŸ
Separate ways & open arms. One fires you up, one gently holds you âșïž
haha i've always said Steve Perry was "the voice" before there was "the voice". You hear his tone and you know who it is and it gets into your heart immediately.
Open arms YES!
Paul Rogers was also called the voice. Freedie loved them both!
Journey with Steve Perry was a monster band back in the day. Thanks for this. Youâve got some more tunes to listen to from them and not a bad one in the bunch! đ„
Agreed!
Ok đđŸ this will be fun
Steve Perry better known as the Voice!!!! So many songs you will enjoy,,, they just don't make bad music
Lol I believe that đđŸđđŸđđŸđđŸđđŸđ
Steve Perry remains one of the best rock singers of all times. I grew up listening to this music.
Brotha got vocals
@@ABtheKreator he could hit those highs and hold 'em all day
@@RainbowMaille crazy đ„đ„
Steve Perry aka âthe voiceâ. One of the best rock vocalist of all time. Of course, âDonât Stop Believingâ. So many others âSeparate Waysâ, âLightsâ, âOpen Armsâ to name a few. Go down this rabbit hole. You wonât regret it!
Oh ok thank you đđŸ
You have hit the .jackpot with Journey....Keep on going. Best vocal rock band of all time.
Uh ohhhh ok thanks đđŸ
Yeahh ! Finally !Steve Perry is called THE VOICE đ If you want to hear his vocal ability, I reccomend you the masterpiece of life performances :"Mother father" live in Houston 81. You will be blown by his voice.
Really ok đđŸ Iâll add that now
Steve Perry aka "THE VOICE" no one else like him, yes there are others that can flat out SANG.....continue the journey !!! hahahha
John Farnham is "The Voice" ask Australia.
@@maryhuhnke8496 oh ok thanks
Thanks Donna
Steve Perry is the only singer for Journey. He has retired, but I search out original songs only. His voice is honey! Love Steve! Thank you!
You can never go wrong with Journey..
Iâm finding that out now lol
Journey and lead singer Steve Perry (aka "The Voice') were a monster band back it the day. I'm glad you found them, there are so many great groups for you to find.
Donât watch the Voice at all lol đ but I trust you all
I think they meant Steve Perry was named the voice by Bon Jovi
"I get the joy of re-discovering you". Sexiest line ever sung. Steve Perry is one of the greatest singers of all time. MORE JOURNEY PLEASE!!!
STOP! You're reading my MIND!! I was gonna request them. I saw Journey 3 times in one summer. So SO GOOD. "When You Love a Woman" please
đđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ itâs a gift lolâŠ. And that is wild lol
ABOUT TIME !!!!! What u hear on the studio doesn't compare how good they in concert.... Phenomenal phenomenal
Lol Iâm trying to get to them all ll
I think they sound good live or on vinyl
Journey? ICONIC!! STEVE PERRY THE VOICE! Guitar solo to die for!
Send Her My Love! Great song!!
Steve Perry is the bomb! He is my #1 songbird. Welcome to the rabbit holeđ Thatâs why they call him âThe Voiceâ Steve Perry is number one even today Iâve been following Journey and Steve Perry for the last 40+ years. Listen to anything Journey or Steve Perry solo work you will not be disappointed there isnât one song that isnât good! đ
Fun little story about JourneyâŠâŠJourney is my Dadâs favorite band! when I was 11, he wanted to take me to see them in concert, but my mom said no! She was afraid he wouldnât watch me very wellâŠâŠfast forward about 15 years, I surprised my Dad with tickets and said since he couldnât take me when I was younger, I was taking him! He was so moved by the whole thing! We had such a great time, just me and my Daddy! My 17 year old son sang their song âDonât Stop Believingâ at his 8th grade graduation! People still talk about it 4 yrs later!đ„°đ„°đ„°. You are definitely gonna have to do more Journey! My favorite Journey song is âSeparate Waysâ!
Oh wow thatâs a really cool story! Thanks for sharing đđđŸ
That was so sweet! â€
Steve Perry's voice is so iconic that after he left the band they ran through a string of Steve sound alikes. Literally the greatest voice of a generation.
Great song, Iâm sticking around for this one for sure.
Ok thank you đđŸ
Journey was one of the best bands of 80s with the amazing Steve Perry as lead awesome singer. His voice is so unique that itâs hard to replicate. He left the band in 1987. There is a documentary how guitarist Neal Schon wanted to revive the band and in 2007, he reached out to a young Philippino bar singer he found on CZcams..?Long story short, they met and Ariel Pineda is now their lead singer! Itâs amazing! Steve Perry lost his passion for music for many years but has since been creating recently. In 2017, Perry reunited with the band to be inducted in Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Ariel sang on stage with the band. Perry and Journey are very popular still â€ïžđ„
Welcome to one of the best voices ever... Listen to "Mother father" to see the best vocals you'll ever hear.
Oh yes.
Steve "Killing Me" Perry is amazing. Open Arms, Don't Stop Believing and Loving, Touching, Squeezing are juicy as well. Orange juicy that is! Great reaction as always AB! â€đđđđ
Ok lol thanks
I saw Journey live at The Spectrum in Philly in 1986. Steve Perry (the lead singer) is arguably the best Rock singer of all time. They sound as good live as they do recorded. If you are gonna react to more of their stuff please do live performances.
Oh wow that had to be amazing đđŸđđŸđ„đ„
I would say the best vocals in music in every genre Steve Perry is the man
đ€đ€đ€đ€
Steve is my all-time favorite male voice. Ever. They didn't call him "The Voice" for nothing!
Greatest vocalist of all-time.
Gotta gotta listen to âDonât Stop Believenâ it is THE SONG đ”
đđđź
âDonât stop believingâ Journey. They use a clip from this song at every Detroit Redwings hockey home game.
Ohhhh ok đđŸ
Let's do this! đđ¶đ Separate Ways, Lights, Who's Crying Now, Open Arms and Don't Stop Believing. Every song brings back wonderful memories for me.
Itâs showntime
Same era, try Bob Seger: Hollywood Nights, Night Moves and Turn The Page. These three with put him in your rafters for sure!
Idk who that is but Iâm putting him on my list now lol
Bob Seger is a treasure. I went to his show, with my Aunt, knowing I loved some of his songs... but no idea that he could play for nearly 3 hours and ALL were hits I recognized. Left a big fan of Seger.
Moooore Journey. I feel their Lives are killer.
Thanks for sharing your time with us. âźïž
Yes and thank you đđŸ
Yes any live from Houston is đ„
Remember, this was before auto tune or much technology. 70âs bands relied on pure talent and were awesome live.
Oh thank the lord I finally passed a test this year!! Thank you! đ Steve Perry one of the greatest male voices. "Open Arms", "Don't Stop Believing" "Lights" Deep deep run! Great reaction, really enjoy your channel.
Thank you!! I passed also lol
Great song and reaction. "Mother Father" live in Houston 1981 will blow your mind.
Hmm đ€ ok đđŸ
Singer Steve Perry's nickname is "The Voice". He is incredible. Check out "Mother Father Sister". Amazing song all around!
A đ„đ„đ„đ„ song of theirs that I absolutely love is Lovinâ, Touchinâ, Squeezin!!! Itâs got a bump to it youâll love.
Ohhh yeah canât wait
For some classic rock with both male and female singers, try Fleetwood Mac. It was practically required to own their album "Rumours", so pick any song off that and you can't go wrong.
A few of my favorites:
Gold Dust Woman, Stop Dragging my Heart Around,, Don't Say that You Love Me, Tusk, I could go on and on..
You might get anyone in their band singing lead, they were all incredibly talented. Enjoy đ
Definitely need to do Fleetwood Mac! Best female frontrunner everA

I had the pleasure of seeing this tour(actually I was 14 and it was my very first concert) I saw them again with Steve Perry in `87.I have always loved them! Have all of their albums and they are AMAZING live..Check it out for yourself :) Keep On Rockin'
Journey is one of the bands that screams GOAT. Steve Perry is an amazing singer who is in a class all by himself. So many other songs to listen toâŠâŠ.. Enjoy!!!
The one and only "VOICE" Steve Perry. đđâ€â
Aaahhhh Steve Perry đ probably the BEST vocalist to ever live. This guy got me thru my teenage years. So nostalgic â€ïžđšđŠ
I'm late to the party on this one. My favorite band of all time, and my favorite song from them. Such a wonderful genuine reaction - thank you for that. Great job here, I'm gonna stick around and see what else you have.
Yah - asking for more good songs from journey - here's the thing. - Pick 6 random songs from Journey and you'll hear 8 great songs!
Yes he has vocals, known as "The Voice" by most rock enthusiasts.
The greatest voice in rock , IMO.
The best of the best !! Steve Perry's voice is incredible!! Still sings today
Oh JourneyâŠwe danced our first wedding dance to âOpen armsâ in 1996. Still rockâs 25 years later. Such a great band for you to be introduced to.
Steve Perry is in my top 5 lead singers of all time. His voice was perfect!
PS: "Faithfully" was "OUR song" to thousands of 80's teen couples. Many prom slow dances were to this song. There were also plenty of youngsters who lost their virginities in a backseat (1978 Cutlass...) with Journey in the tape deck!
One of the most recognized voices in rock music.
Nice introduction to Mr. Steve Perry - "The Voice" himself †Journey has so many great songs, hope you do more of them â€â€â€
I love this song. A great song. Happy Birthday to Steve Perry.
Nobody delivers a power ballad like Steve and Journey! This is me and hubbyâs đ” song â€
You canât take a Journey journey without doing Lovin Touchin Squeezin. Straight đ„
You probably heard their âDonât Stop Believingâ song before. Please react to it đđŒ Steve Perry is one of the most legendary singers there is! And he sounds just as good if not better liveđđŒđ„đŻđđŒđ
đđŸđđŸđđđđ
100%. I honestly like the live version better than the studio release version. It's the only way to fully appreciated Steve Perry's amazing talent. I love the Live in Houston version.
Steve Perry is truly amazing.
He truly has an amazing voice
Steve Perry has an amazing voice. They were my first concert. All of their songs are great. I am just watching your videos but Open Arms is another one of their big songs. I'm excited to see if you have reacted to it yet. You always make me sme and laugh and I really enjoy your reactions. Happy New Year to you.
Oh!!! Thank God I watched your reaction! You nailed it and made me VERY happy!!!
Listen to open arms, to late, lights, wheel in the sky and mother father. You will love them all
Finally. This was the song when I had my first boyfriend. Steve Perry is my secret husband. He was so fine and his voice is so amazing. So next you need to jump right into "Lights" ... so good and so totally different a song they wrote dedicated to their home town which is San Fransisco. Then "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin". I agree with Anne that "Feeling That Way" is also amazing. It was one of the bands first hits before Steve Perry became lead singer, he sang back up on that one. Other people will tell you "Don't Stop Believing" or "Separate Ways" but those are too commercial. Stick with the old stuff. According to the Range Place, based on recorded songs, Steve Perry's range is generally believed to have spanned C3 - C6 (this would be a full 3-octave range). Freddie Mercury's (Queen) range was F2 to least D6 (nearly 4 octaves). Steve left the band and they then tried to hire copycat singers. Steve never really came back. He has done a Christmas album but he never wanted to do the touring life again. He can still sing at nearly 70. For females, you need to check out Heart, Anne and Nancy Wilson or Fleetwood Mac with the Queen, Stevie Nicks. "Landslide".
You need to review some more Journey songs from the Steve Perry era, late 1977 until 1998. Once you hear his voice , you will never forget it! His voice is iconic as well as soulful, emotionally evocative and powerful.
The lead singer, Steve Perry they used to call him the Voice for obvious reasonsđ Journey have so many great songs.
Open Arms, Don't Stop Believing, and Separate Ways are all great Journey songs.
Another great one. Whoâs crying now. Live Houston
Ok thank you
One of my favorite groups. Saw them live way back in '83. They were awesome.
You would also like:
Open Arms
Sherry
Don't Stop Believing
Any Way You Want It
and just about every other song they ever recorded.
Dimash brought me to you. Enjoying checking out your other reactions which I donât usually bother doing. Canât believe youâve never heard Journey!! So so good. PLEASE do Dimash Adai+ Daididau from his Bastau concert- a traditional kazakh folk song. He looks like a kazakh prince, he brings over 100 of his countrymen to play, he plays the dombra.. itâs always been a dream of his to do on large stage & the emotion is exquisite
I grew up on Steve Perry and Journey. If you like the sound you might try Styx and Boston. Gosh I miss people who could sing live. Also Starship- We Built This City.
of course Styx "Dust in the Wind" and Boston, but if you go forthe other, you need to start with Jefferson Airplane and work into Starship.
@@sallycripe2697 I loved it when Grace Slick was singing. So yes, when the group in its early days was Jefferson Airplane and then Starship (but only with Grace Slick as the female lead). So sorry that she is unable to sing these days.
Saw them in concert in 1986 and they were amazing.
Thatâs why Steve Perry the singer is called the voice I seen Journey twice in concert here in New Orleans and I was never disappoint he sounds like that in person
I believe it man!!đ„đ„đđŸ
Mother Father live in Houston 81!!! This one will blow you away! Steve Perryâs vocal ability is Phenomenal. đđ€đŒ
You will love this band!!! All their songs are phenomenal. They don't have not one even mediocre song, they are ALL out of this world. Steve Perry was is and forever will be the GOAT AKA "The Voice". You've got to play, listen to, react to more Journey!
I know a couple who stayed together from high school through going to college in different states. This song was their last dance at their wedding.
One of the greatest voices ! Love Steve Perry!
Journey was THE band. It's awesome to think about Steve perry's voice, no autotune
Journey is the greatest! Where should I begin??? Patiently, Wheel In The Sky, Walks like a Lady, Lights, Anyway you want it, Separate Ways, Chain Reaction, After the Fall, Don't Stop Believing, Mother, Father. The list goes on and on. Steve Perry is one of the greatest of all time!!
One of the best bands ever!!!
Steve Perry probably in the top 5 rock voices of all time. Journey one of the top groups of the 70s and 80s. A huge catalog and all of them winners. They dominated for years for a reason.
Do "Send Her My Love" next. My favorite of theirs. Another group you should check out that has an amazing lead singer & awesome band is Steelheart. "I'll Never Let You Go, Sheila, Can't Stop Me Lovin You, Gimme Gimme, Mama Don't You Cry, She's Gone" are songs you should do by them. I don't think you'd be disappointed!!!
Ok ok đđŸ I believe you
I had to subscribe for "Journey". Any song by them is fire.
Oh thanks
Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
Seeing them in concert was the best ever! My husband got to see them in the 80âs out in the Bay Area and Huey Lewis opened for them. He said it was amazing.
Another awesome reaction man! And ashamedly I laughed at a few those jokes in the beginning too⊠Journey holds a special place in my heart, I remember when I was younger and the very first CD I ever owned came from from my dad, who gave me his Journey greatest hits album that he had bought himself when it came out. I brought that CD with me everywhere Iâve gone. Itâs beyond exciting to see somebody else get wrapped up in their beautiful music! Hope you keep discovering even more of their incredible hits!
The 80' rock bands are awesome but Journey is epic. Steve Perry is just the VOICE. I wish the younger generation listen to tbeir music ....timeless and ANYONE can relate to their songs. I wish i could have been there...
This is a fact!!! Maybe we can be that change đđŸđđŸđđŸđđŸđ„
Journeys, Mother Father, 1981 Houston Concert. Steve recorded this song in 1 take. WILL BLOW YOUR MIND!!!
I have to agree with others and recommend Open Arms. It will blow you away.
You are rockin out my youth! Try Earth, Wind and Fire âSeptemberâ or âThatâs the Way of the Worldâ, Neil Diamond âI Amâ or âComing to Americaâ, Eagles âTakin in Easyâ or âHotel Californiaâ Live 1994 is the best version.
Hi it's Mary again, I am so pleased with you, first you do the Righteous Brothers, and now my all-time favorite band Journey! Lead singer Steve Perry the knowledged greatest singer in a rock and roll history, he was called The Voice he was better Live even react to open arms, Don't Stop Believin, open arms the list goes on and on they were the biggest band in the world for about 10 years before Steve left for a solo career. Steve Perry's the unbelievable
Love Journey, Lights and Wheel in the Sky and When You Love a Woman are great songs by them. That last one shows off Steve's voice so beautifully.
I've seen journey twice in concert 1984 and 85. And then I saw a New Journey in 2014 and 15. Still doesn't disappoint!
Oh wow the ânewâ
Same! I was leery of the new singer, but he did an amazing job. Crazy how they found someone who could sing almost as well and eerily similar to Perry.
@@ABtheKreator But they still sing the same old songs...
Oh ok! Nice
When you love a Woman , Father Mother live , anything from the Infinity album is a winner as well take the âJourneyâ đ
Their older music before Steve Perry joined the band is a whole different animal. That being said, On A Saturday Night, Spaceman, and others are very prog rock. You do a good job, you g man.
Steve Perry is and always will be one of my favs. Beautiful soulful voiceâŠ.I love it. â€ïž
I saw them in 1980 and Steve Perry was unbelievable sounded just like the radio. Perfection!
Journey is well worth a deep, deep dive. Steve Perry has one of the best voices ever.
