I guess it says something about me that the detail that shocked me the most was being reminded that the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was an INDEPENDENT film.
34 years later & its still the best TMNT film and one of the best comic book movies ever made
Can't say I was fond of that movie even when I was a Ninja Turtle obsessed kid back then (honestly I found it really dull and drab and something about the facial expressions on the Henson puppetry masks creeped me right out) but what I always found most interesting about it was that it's directed by Steve Barron who directed the music videos for A-Ha's Take on Me and Michael Jackson's Billie Jean (both of which have over 1 billion views here)
Production Tales From Hell has to be one of my favorite series that I hope gets a second run and stuff. I know it's a lot that goes into its Production and stuff but I just love how much trivia is revealed and learning the behind the scenes for films like this with infamous pasts. I love it!
Covids over Ho
I don't think it was mentioned in the video (if it was, I missed it), but for those wondering if DeFeo is still alive/in prison, he died in 2021 after spending the rest of his life in prison.
No, it wasn't mentioned.
Let's not forget that the Ed and Lorraine Warren were sketchy as well.
Just adding a whole other layer of scumminess to this mess.
"Sketchy" is putting it mildly. Ed Warren was a pedophile.
Ed in particular.. he said he saw more people with problems than real cases.... but yet he kept going.
And they barely tried to hide their sketch after a while.
Yeah, they were more than likely frauds
10:24 "Bummer." Great delivery! I'm glad the cast and crew didn't have to deal with any nonsense.
Brolin was the smart one he made the movie for a cut of the profits🤑🤑
Alien³ would certainly be a perfect fit for this, I think.
I'm dying for this episode to happen.
What kind of hellish stories happened when making that one?
Apocalypse now and pink flamingos too!
@@behelit1997 Apocalypse Now is more of an action or war movie though. This channel is dedicated to horror.
@@rodian_skypyratz6181
It was a production. that went through multie shifts in concept qnd the studio hijacking the film from the directoer so completely that Fincher doesn't even consider it his.
Christian Bale pretending hes not a time traveler is what is most disturbing.
Happy Easter everyone...
Happy Easter
Happy Easter my friends!
Happy Easter! Hope everyone has a good time!
Happy Zombie Jesus Day!
Happy Easter and god bless you
Chauncey is great as the host. After hearing her on the podcasts it was no surprise that she just has the knack for this. It's been a great series so far, looking forward to The Exorcist!
I love Chauncey as an addition to the deadmeat team
Nothing better than a Dead Meat video, especially on a holiday!
I agree!
A Jesus holiday
Hell yeah
Hell yeah
un kadda kai Easter boys!!!!
Gonna be real, if I didn't know any better I would swear that George Lutz was played by Christian Bale, which is odd since he's played by James Brolin, Josh Brolin's father.
had the same thought 😂
My thoughts exactly
I thought he looked like the wrestler Mankind (Mick Foley), personally.
James Brolin looking like Christian Bale in the thumbnail
14:58 James’ NY accent 😂🤌🏼
I really appreciate you highlighting the crimes of all of the people involved, and not forgetting that they did this on the backs of the very real victims. The fact that this could sway the Jury is something that sits with me and this is one franchise I avoid as a result of feeling dirty at the idea of watching it.
Excellent facts & in-depth back story, Chaunsey! I read the book and saw the movie immediately back then.
(James A. Janisse' Mom) ❤️🖤❤️
You tell your boy to call me back! We haven’t caught up in ages! He still owes me lunch! Hard to believe it’s nearing twenty years since we graduated.
Been a HUGE fan since video one that James has produced, and I've got to say I only wish I could make a horror film with him! I only wish the best for him an Chelsea in the near future an I'm truly enjoying the "They Talk!" an "Production Tales from Hell" series. Great work from Zoran, miss Chauncey and the whole staff as a whole. On the Amityville side, I've always thought it was mularkey... Haha!
Best Wishes,
Randy from NC
This is the first episode I've watched and it's brilliantly produced.
I'll be going back and watching the first few now. Incredible to see Dead Meat growing an empire and finding talent like Chauncey. Congrats Chauncey.
Hi, Long Islander here. Just wanted to bring attention to one of the other longstanding myths about the Amityville house. Jay Anson claimed in his book that the house was built on an old Shinnecock “Indian sanitarium” (his words, not mine) where the tribe would leave the sick and mentally ill to die in a field.
This idea has been refuted by representatives of the local indigenous communities since 1. “Indian sanitariums” are not and were never real. 2. They have records of where burial grounds are on the island and none of them are in Amityville. 3. The Shinnecock did not even live on LI when Anson is claiming that this happened. Personal belief but I believe this idea come from the fact that the Shinnecock headquarters are located in Suffolk County which Amityville is in but they moved there in the mid 1800’s (basically long after Anson claims any of this happened). This is just another example of white people using indigenous mysticism for their own gain and benefit.
And fwiw, John Ketchum was not a witch and he didn’t live in Amityville. Finally, the house is not built on any cemetery grounds.
Good video btw.
Thank you!!
I guess the old saying is true… you catch more flies on your face with honey instead of vinegar 😂
Chauncey… my girl has done it again! PTFH has been a great addition to the Dead Meat franchise. You are excelling even faster than I’d thought, keep up the great work. I look forward to your episodes as much as the weekly Kill Count!!
Remember everyone, be good people
Just wanna say how proud I am of the Dead Meat crew and their growth. Been waiting for another one of these videos. Been here since the first universal horror walkthrough video and knew you guys were more than the kill counts. Rock on my dudes ❤
PRODUCTION TALES FROM HELL IDEA:
Slender-Man (2018)
Although the film itself was a dumpster fire filled with absolute s***, the history of this film is mainly a mystery. From deleted scenes, unused designs and even an abandoned (good) script. I would like the idea of finding out the past of the movie and seeing:
WHAT WENT WRONG?
I find it funny how the story of the Lutz's doesn't hold up to any scrutiny. The very first claims mentioned, green slime and waking up at 3:15am. Okay so bag a sample of the slime? And given the media attention of the murders you could quite easily have known the murders happened around 3:15am to then make the claim you are waking up. Just sad some people decided to turn a tragedy into scam for profit.
I just want to thank the Dead Meat team for all the extra work they’ve been putting in for this series, my favorite thing to see every Sunday
Production Tales From Hell is an AMAZING edition to the Dead Meat family, keep up the good work Chauncey!
These are such a cozy weekend treat, I love it
ok SERIOUSLY CZcams need to push this better, this production quality and information details is a step above a compared to even most studio produced content. and as a person that loves learning about the BTS stories of movies is always intriguing. Like this is a amazing companion piece to the normal Kill Counts that i really hope more people can find more and sink their teeth into.
Chauncey is a GREAT addition to the Dead Meat channel! Love this series.
Great content and host! I was obsessed with Amatityville when I was a kid and appreciate the work done on this topic. Really loving this series!
This is extremely informative! Chauncey is an amazing host and I can’t wait to see more!😊
Imagine being a relative or friend of the DeFeo family and learning their lasting legacy in this world is micro budgeted actual crap like Amityville Thanksgiving and Amityville Shark House, real fucking things btw.
As someone from Long Island who grew up hearing all the bs about the house in Amityville, I've known the actual details for a very long time.
I've always said the real story is more interesting than the made up one.
Thanks for this .
The made up story is pretty fucking stupid imo
Like green slime oh no... come on, do better
The Warrens have also been debunked time and time again, this case being a major one. Not to mention all of the disgusting preference Ed Warren had and Lorraine let happen
The movies they got involved in aren't even all that good. Just a whole mess of cliches. Shit you tell children to spook them. If they were born this century they'd have a tiktok channel where they find demonic messages in Taylor Swift music
I lived a few blocks away from this place and my mom’s friend lived next door when it happened lmao
This was really Indepth, can we take a moment to appreciate the amount of information delivered to us in 17 minutes. There's also a fine line between "based on a true story" and "inspired by actual events."
I love that Toms River is getting its props cuz I'm from South toms River and downtown toms River was literally a mile. Two mile walk down the street from me
I haven't seen The Conjuring: The Devil Made me do it yet, but after covering the Enfield hauntings in Conjuring 2, i would have assumed they would make a Conjuring movie using Amityville as a basis already.
They did Amityville as the opening scene of 'The Conjuring 2.'
Happy Easter yall. It’s five am, and I just got home from looking for my house keys in the woods for four hours, after I dropped them earlier today and didn’t realize till midnight when I got home. I’m beat cause I’d already walked all day, and then had to retrace half my steps, so this is a great way to end a stressful night.
Chauncey! What a fantastic new series
George Lutz was seen having a yard sale on the property. For someone who fled it terror sure looked calm and cool.
these are genuinely some of my favorite videos on the channel 🗣️‼️
the intro gives me haunting hour vibes
I love Production Tales From Hell!! I am so interested in these behind the scenes things and its a very nice topping to the Kill counts, wich i also love very much!! I think you are all doing a great job!! Chauncey is such a good host! Thank you for this great content!!
James new york accent cracks me the fuck up lmao
I had heard of amityville horror but had no idea there was a backstory of greed behind it 😬
This is the best addition to Dead Meat ever. Wonderfully done and I’m starting to love this show.
I love this series so much.
this was insssssaaaannnneeee. Like part of me wants a part 2 of this one. It was so much craziness going on! Great job to the entire Dead Meat Team on this one!
My Mom was convinced Amityville was real. We watched a documentary debunking it and still didn't change her mind.
I remember being like "Mom, they weren't demons. Ronny Defao got a schizophrenia diagnosis and said he heard voices telling him to kill his family."
This is such a great series and Chauncey is awesome!
I'm having such a horrible Easter, thank you for this video it made my night
Aw, I hope your day gets better. And glad you liked the video!
Another great episode! This is my go to show every Sunday. Keep up the incredible work everyone!
really been enjoying this series of videos! thanks to everyone making them!
I read the book as a teenager, it’s been the only book that gave me chills reading it!
ngl this is just as entertaining as normal kill counts! Such a good relaxing show thats so entertaining!
Fantastic video Chauncey! You're so informative and your voice makes it easy to follow along!
Love this addition to the Dead Meat channel every episode has been a banger
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite part of sunday
Loving this new series! Keep up the good work!
So good! I hope Dead Meat is planning to make this a regular series. Chauncey is a great host.
awesome stuff as always. One of my favorite episodes in the series so far!!
This new series has become a highlight for my sundays. Great work everyone!
This series is a great addition to the channel and Chauncey is a great host!
I don't know about anyone else, but I am LOVING this series!! Great job Chauncey and the Dead Meat Team!
I had never looked into the Amityville Horror much, but after this, they 100% faked that shit lmao
Margot Kidder is fantastic in this. She carries an otherwise average film
YES FINALLY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR EVER FOR SOME AMITYVILLE CONTENT ON THIS CHANEL JAMES AND CHAUNCEY THANK YOU SO MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!❤
I love how many movies just get Amityville slapped on it for... marketing I guess? Including Amityville Vibrator
Can we please have a gif of Chauncey saying "Bummer" 😂
Chauncey is a great host, and I'm loving the series so far. It reminds me of those old TCM shows (or the Driver-In show on Shudder), where they have the host introduce the film and offer background information throughout.
Pink Flamingos in Dead Meat should be a rather... Feastful dinner, repugance and adventureship.
Happy easter! No better time for horror lol. ❤
The intro for this is so nice.
The weirdest fact of the case is that everyone was shot in their bed.... No one woke and got up after the 1st shots? "All six family members were found in their beds face down, hands raised above their heads" he used a .35 caliber rifle... look up how large that round is. And no one got up and ran???? Jus Sayin
This series is fantastic ! Wonderful addition to the deadmeat channel ! The production value is off the charts! Keep up the good work !
Met Lorraine Warren in 2013 and she still insisted that Amityville was the most haunted house she had ever seen. And in the words of Forrest Gump, that's all I have to say about that...
Grifters gonna grift, man. Grifters gonna grift.
Not to mention that if it was such an evil house, how come no one else who has since owned the house, or even the current owners, have ever reported any type of hauntings or events that align with whatever the Lutzes or the Warrens claimed?
She's a fraud.
Most people would insist anything for fame and fortune
Such an awesome and in-depth series, I'm loving it!
Love this series!! It looks like something I’d watch on tv. Well done guys
First time watching. I really enjoy the style and host. Keep it up
this series seriosuly deserves more attention love y'all
Watched this before I went to church!!😂❤😂 Hey just proves horror fans come from all walks & faiths about life. Hope everyone has a lovely & blessed Easter!!💞
Haha! Happy Easter! 😄

Apocalypse now should've been an excellent topic in this series
Really enjoying this series on the Dead Meat channel, can't wait for more episodes :)
loving the production tales from hell series
This is an awesome video format. It's more behind the scenes stuff from kill counts but just that.
Another great episode thanks to Chauncey and the DeadMeat crew ❤
I have ben enjoying the new series it is great. And I learned a little more about Amtyville horror. I didn't know about the first contact with the Lutzes. Cheers.
I LOVE THIS. Is this a new show? I’ve not seen it on the channel before. Excited for more.
Thanks for watching! And yup, a new series- Production Tales from Hell. There are three previous episodes to check out as well if you haven’t yet 😄
@@ChaunceyKRobinson 🏃🏻♀️➡️on my way to the rest.
Enjoy!
Chauncey ur amazing, love these vids and ur hosting
Man i love the Production from Hell series!
Just got past the intro. That description sounds like a house in an earlier Simpsons episode where Marge is a realtor and sells the "murder house" with history to Ned Flanders.
Wouldn't be surprised if it was a direct reference on the Simpsons side of things but the brain just linked them together now.
This could be put on tv and be a success
I hope you guys continue this series when you move over to the second channel~
Great job!
Huge fan of the intro
Very informing video! Keep it up with these :)
Really loving this new series!!
I was ready to put Ya'll on blast in the first few minutes, but I figured I wouldn't really know 5hit if I didn't watch the whole thing. So good. Thanks for your excellently researched article.
I'm 57, I was ambushed by a stranger in 1974. He was going to do what he wanted to do, He came with a van and at least a knife. He could have taken Me. I escaped, I never told anyone because of various reasons. I had no idea about anything when it happened. Because of the satanist theme that was running through hwood after the success of "Rosemary's Baby", I wasn't really sure what my attacker was all about. I had no idea that humans liked to rub their nerve endings against other humans. I thought He was some escaped lunatic, or something.
Media exploiting anything with horns and a pitchfork kind of drummed it into Me, plus I think the closer the calendar flipped to 1980 there was so much end of days anxiety (happens at the end of every decade, expect it to start again in a few years). A lot of money was made off of that fear.
I was/am hyper-vigilant, humans really don't need help being evil. It's never the debil.
i really loved this !! more please !!
Happy Easter, James
I heard there were some eerie occurrences on the set of the remake with Ryan Reynolds, would be cool to do a part II of this video on that film. Supposedly there’s more to talk about in that regard.
I know these won't hit the view counts of a kill count but dang they should. Phenomenal content.
