Small one for Bruce. Huge one for Batman lol
Here I am still laughing at how he used a boxing glove gun on the TV earlier only to shoot his other TV with a real gun

The best thing about Nicholson's Joker is that he appears almost normal now and then, like someone who might even listen to reason. He's not constantly doing a crazy show, but displays a touch of cool calmness now and then. In that respect he's similar to Frank Miller's Joker, and feels a lot more dangerous underneath.
I just commented how this is one of the main reasons why this depiction of the Joker used to terrify me as a kid. The calm demeanor really throws you off because it makes him more difficult to read.

To this date, I am not sure what Bruce was trying to accomplish here.
Exactly what happened. He was goading Joker into a confrontation. He suspected he'd get shot, hence the plate he hides in his jacket. The gunshot and inevitable scream from Vicki would bring unwanted attention and make Joker and his goons want to leave.
@@phillipzink2382 I think there were more practical ways of getting unwanted attention given Joker and his goons didn't even know he was in the house until he revealed himself. Not exactly the smartest idea to rely on a small plate to keep yourself from getting killed. Joker could have just popped him in the head. Or realized that he wasn't bleeding when he shot him in the first place.
I think it's cause Bruce does not like to feel helpless so he reacts the same way he would if he was suited up
Bruce has got likely 10 seconds to think on his feet. Sure he could have easily snuck out of there and alerted the police. Joker was likely to hurt, kidnap or even kill Vicki in a moments notice. The goal is to divert Joker's attention away from her and focus his rage/anger/attention on Bruce. Most people when firing aim for the torso. Largest surface area, easier to hit. "Aim small, miss small." It was a risk, but calculated.
@@phillipzink2382 Yeah no, it was a dumbass plan.
2:21 I like that subtle pre-warning. Vicki's like, _"ohhh shit. He's gonna do something crazy. I'll just casually wander riiiiiight over here..."_

I found him extremely scary when I was 9
He was the first to make him scary
I love how unafraid and unintimidated Bruce was by Joker and his henchmen. He was playing a psychological game with the Joker and it makes sense, since he was studying his profile.
I like how most of jack Nicholson’s roles let him keep the name jack. Makes it seem more authentic being that jack Nicholson is batshit crazy himself 🤣
Sadly, he literally is now. :( Old age has not done him well.
I love how he doesn't say anything when Bruce says, "I know who you are." He just kinda flitters his eyes around. Some of the best acting is understated and free of dialog. Less is more approach.
I loved when Keaton said the "you wanna get nuts?" Line in the Flash movie! By far he was the best part of the whole movie!
Can you just leave?

Heath Ledger was amazing as the Joker. The amazing thing is Jack does an equal job just from a different era. Bravo to both.
"I like him already", 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 LEGENDARY

Ruthless.
I think Joker killed Alicia

This scene gets to the core of why Keaton is my favorite Batman. He brings the crazy.
Here me out. Bruce Wayne is a good guy, a hero. You want Bruce on your team. Even a leader. He's a genius, he's driven....
And he is also batshit crazy. He's a billionaire who dresses up in a bat costume to beat the crap out of criminals every night. Largely due to Post Traumatic Stress.
Bruce Wayne might be a hero... But that doesn't mean he is sane.
Keaton brought the crazy. You believe he's insane enough to be Batman. No other actor sold me on how Bruce would become Batman.
Hear* me out
Nope,he's corny and too small.
Never thought of Keaton’s Bruce Wayne in that way. Brilliant observation.
@@ShredwackaYou don't need a 10 inch hammer to be Batman, Sherlock.
@chrisaustin4261 what does that even mean Chris? Best have the nurse take you for a walk outside old boy
Serious gamble
We had now idea if Joker decided to finish him off with a head shot.
My theory: Joker doesn't really ask that of all his victims. He just remembered asking that of Thomas Wayne before he shot him. He wanted to stick it to Bruce before killing him.
But why would Joker think of Thomas Wayne in this confrontation with Bruce? He didn't know that Bruce Wayne was Thomas Wayne's son. He didn't know who Thomas Wayne was back when he killed him and Martha. He was just some random score.
@@PrinceTron1 He didn't know billionaire Bruce Wayne was billionaire Thomas Wayne's son. WTF? How could he NOT know that?
@@gmoney66 The only one who could really know that backstory is Tim Burton. Tim could've easily had Joker say something like, "Thomas Wayne's son, huh?" Then I could possibly go with your theory. But to this day, nothing in that scene tells me that Jack said that to Bruce because of Thomas Wayne. Even Joker explained later to Batman that he was just a kid when he did that. If Tim Burton explained somewhere that young Jack Napier knew who Thomas Wayne was before he killed him and used that 'Dance with Devil' line to troll Bruce the. I'll stand correct. Jack Napier killed many people between the time he killed Thomas Wayne and Martha to the time of this scene. How do you know what he said to all his victims during that span of time off screen?
@@PrinceTron1 Do you really think that he didn't know Bruce Wayne was Thomas Wayne's son? In that case, Did you know that Eric Trump is Donald Trump's son? Did I just blow your mind?!
I can't watch the video (age-restricted) can you explain?
This is literally the Dumb and Dumber scene where he says
“Yeah Lloyd I was just playing along the whole time I had this Bulletproof vest.”
Lloyd: “Wait but Harry how did you know he wasn’t going to shoot you in the face?”
(Harry Sudden Realization that the whole plan was stupid)
That's a risk he was willing to take. 😜
Carrey "You're alive!! And a terrible shot....."
Bro, I literally just saw you from another video’ “Does Height Matter?” What are the freaking odds?!?
@CR45H 0V3RR1D3 No, it's called bad writing.
This is why i thought this Burton's Batman was "Alright". It had a log of cheesy and dumb moments but it's a classic.
Bruce taunted the Joker to protect Vicki, he also revealed Jokers real identity. Very important and exciting scene! Gloriously played!
Batman 1 and 2 of the early 90ies by Tim Burton are the best Batman-movies ever!
"What if he shot u in the face?"
