Hi Rob, the way I see it is you need to rotate the bezzle to the inside to cover the gap you are showing, I have a different brand, but I did the same mistake before, the thicker side is where it covers the gap. Just letting you know.
Thats correct i just got mine. The bezels need spun and there will not be a gap. Im mounting mine up as we speak. Saw this video a few weeks ago an thought that was the case. But i wasnt sure so i waited until i got mine to verify

I think you will need to test the new lights in a fog. I live across from the water on Long Island and have too much experience driving in fog. I have converted all of my vehicles to high output LED with the exception of the fog lights. In a dense fog more light is NOT better as it reflects off of the fog creating a cloud of light that you can't see though. For the same reason fog lights work better when aimed lower. Love to hear how your new lights actually work in a dense fog.

I would suggest using shrink tubing instead of electrical tape because you know those connections are going to get wet and electrical tape will eventually peel.

Nice lights! I have a SR and don’t have the fog lights. If I buy those lights than I guess I need the entire kit with all the wiring?
I have the trail edition and it didn't come with the fog lights from Toyota or any of the necessary things. I had to purchase the fog light trimming from Amazon since the current covers don't have the fitting for the lights. BIG thing to note is that "plug in play" light harness is not there, so you will need to install a switch to your cabin to enable the lights. I myself have the AUXBEAM switch panel (whole other installation), then ran the wires to that. If you buy the AUXBEAM fog lights, they are great, but since you're missing a lot of the factory features, this project can easily take 2-3 hours depending on how you approach.

I have auxbeam flood, 3" pods like that. They came with both a clear and amber lens. I'm wondering how easy, once the light has been installed, it would be to remove the bezel, gaining access to the lens, swap it, then put the bezel back on?
If possible that would certainly be easier than removing the whole light.
I upgraded my ditch lights and my pod floods put out more light than my fog lights with H11 LED bulbs. Just got the kit from Auxbeam this weekend.
If they’re in the fog light locations, you’d have to take them out to change the lenses.

Rotate the shroud rob. The hood portion goes towards the middle.

It can within the pattern its cut to. However that would be WAY off.

Ordered the same exact model as you. The connections are backwards or upside down.
How the hell did you get it in? Are you talking about the adapter to the stock wiring or the adapter to the light? Just wasted my time installing lights and neither work lol
Rob - can you explain what you mean by the connections are upside down or backwards? I just finished installing and neither work!!!! I dont see how i could reverse the connections bc it seems to only fit one way. Are you referring to the stock wire to the adapter or the adapter to the light??
It only plugs in one way. You must have wired it incorrectly 🤔
@@RobMotive hmm. I saw that they only plugged in one way. The install was so simple. Neither light turned on though. I had some spare bulbs handy and i connected those to both sides and they worked just fine. Im guessing i got defective lights.
The bezels are not installed correctly or you don't have the correct shrouds. When facing truck the right fog light bezel needs to be rotated 90deg counter clockwise and the left light bezel rotates 90 clockwise. Apex of the shroud points towards the centre of the grill. My Auxbeams had no gap. They weren't tight but not a huge gap like you have. I ended out swapping them out for a better brand. I had the same issues with connection. Plug doesn't mate with the stock plug and didn't last a winter.
You may have been sent the 4Runner or Tundra bezel/shrouds.

Ok on a more serious note did you consider putting the fog lights on brackets on the bull bar? Before mounting mine on top of the bumper I toyed with the bull bar. I’ve got mine aimed low 15-20 ft in front of the bumper. They do not blind in the fog. They also won’t interfere with oncoming drivers.
I really didn't. However i wouldn't put them there on the Tacoma.
