on the newer modals you need to disconnect the harness 1st because there's a tab the stops the bulb from making the full qtr turn for removal. you can tell its not turning far enough by feel

I am not a "DIY" guy but I need to swap out my dead bulb. On my 2018 Tacoma.
Swapping out the bulbs on my 2010 was fairly easy. Getting down there and using ramps.
This was also true on my 2021 SR5 - Thanks for the SUPER helpful comment. Made the replacement job a breeze after I went back and looked for comments.

It was suggested to me that if you have one light out you may want to get two bulbs... that way if the new one is brighter than the other factory you can replace that also for the same light balance
One will always be brighter so both don’t go out at the same time
Just did it from the top while it was raining. 10 mins at most. 🤙🏾

All forward lights are H11 I changed all of them
I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport and it came with the upgraded Fogs but I wanna make them yellow but it doesn’t seem that I can remove the bulb at all like it’s fixed
Hey saw your comment and I had the same issue but finally figured it out. I unplugged the bulb and used a small thin flat head inserted in the area of the prongs and used it as leverage to turn the bulb counter clockwise
The 22 has the lights built in so you need a whole new fog light assembly because there's no bulb to remove
For the headlight I would have to buy low and high beam led set?

On my 2013 its better assess from the bottom and you don’t need to remove the wheel well plastic guard. Theres no way to get to it from the top like he was showing. You would think all Tacoma has same set up and design.
Since it’s an SR model that didn’t come with fog lights from the factory, how did you guys install any fog lights in the first place? I want to do it on my SR Tacoma!
That’s probably a sr5 trim package that’s comes with the fog lights

Trd sport 2020, seems like there is some black rear casing, or housing, on the fog light where I am trying to do the bulb swap. I got them connected and into place, but I think the black plastic is preventing me from fully rotating the bulb to lock it into place. Any ideas? They are working fine for now, I am just worried that it might fall out if I hit a hard bump in the road. Thanks
Same here man it seems like we have to change the whole fog light with housing as well. I got a 2029 TRD sport as well
U gotta take the plug out first, u can’t just untwist the housing first like he is in this vid. Unplug then twist, then it comes out easy

Some of these trucks come with H11 light bulbs while others come with H16. My manual says it should be H11, however it is actually a H16 ( that's is what the factory bulb says). These LED replacements are for the H11 size and not the H16 which is why some people are having issues. They look almost identical but the foglight housing will not take it.
I just pressed down and turned hard. I disconnected the stock bulb then took it out. Went to put the led in (the one I got was definitely different than the one in the video) The stubborn plastic piece is there but I just turned through it while making sure no wires were hung up. It went in fine.
I plugged mine in and they didn’t come one. Put my old bulbs back in and they didn’t. Work either…. Fuse!?

I tried reaching the lamp from the top and ended up cutting my hand because it was so tight. I didn’t even attempt to do the other side behind the washer bottle. You mentioned going behind the fender. How? Can you explain please, thanks.

I have the same issue. I can turn it, but it won’t pull out
I just figured it out on mine. You have to unplug the connector for the fog light. The headlight and high beams will pull out with the plugs still in, but the foglight will not. Once you pull the plug, the bulb comes out pretty easily.
Complete waste...buy a set off of Amazon for cheaper and just as good or better.
