Great install vid once again!!! Simple, to the point with great vid shots!!

Hello Ryan, redrider736.
Thank you for commenting, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. My hope is to help everyone do installation themselves and not take it to a dealer.
Nice I put H11 in my high/low and fog, at night it's super bright.
Hello Ernesto.
Yes these bulbs are extremely bright, and it's good too hear you install all three pairs of bulbs. For $150 you can't go wrong with these bulbs.
What! That's all you have to do to replace a headlight. You don't have to remove the grill and the whole front bumper! I'm liking the Tacoma more and more.
That Malibu is so history now!
Great video.
Hello The Lenawee Trekker.
I've owned German cars and suvs since I started driving, and all are so difficult to work on. Trucks have more room in the engine bay and are easier to work on. Yes replacing the bulbs is a simply procedure that does not have to be done by the dealer. Good luck with the install, you'll be impressed with how bright the bulbs are. Thank you for commenting, let me know if you have any other questions.
The Lenawee Trekker My 95 ranger was the same. Don’t think this is considered new by any standard
@@dante3708 lol so was my first car, a 1991 Ranger. (FFR)
I got the 2017 sr5 DCSB optioned out with an automatic. Love the truck. It got 26mpg stock on the highway with stock tires. Was getting about 20 combined tho. I moved up to 275s and it dropped a bit averaging about 18.5 mpg. Then I put in a K&N intake and an exhaust and I gained the MPGs back and it felt like it had much more power. I then put an ARE shell on it and a light bar on the front. Gonna replace my fog lights with rigid cubes soon and then I'll probably put on the TRD off road black fender flares.
Hello John.
Sounds like you are off to a great start with your modifications. I might be upgrading my intake to a K&N soon, how do you like yours? I noticed you mentioned power gain, do you know how much? Right now I'm getting about 17.5 with 285 tire, and a 3 inch leveling lift.
I know the plug is sealed, But Dielectric Grease is a must. Great video.
Hello Drone Pilot Bob.
The only issue I've had with these LEDs was some water got into the fog light on the passenger side. The bulb was replaced under warranty and hasn't given me an issue since. Thank you for the suggestion.
I bought a 2018 Tacoma Sr double cab. I love it i didn’t wanna get anything huge like 4x4 or the TRD mostly cause i will rarely use any of those features
Hello T00000000MUCH.
Congrats on your new tacoma, you made the smart decision of buying a SR5 if you're not going to use the 4 wheel drive or need the sports package. You saved a lot of money due to not buying the different trim packages. These bulbs will fit into your headlight housings, you'll be please with how bright they are and how much farther you can see. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks for this helpful vid bro.. I just had my tacoma trail 2023 a couple of weeks ago and looking for some video on how to change it with LED headlight. Very helpful..
Thanks, easy as heck and now I have brighter headlights for the boat ramp at night.
Hello Derek.
If you've upgraded your headlights and fog lights, then you might think about upgrading your reverse light in your tail lights. I will be doing that modification in the coming weeks, stay tuned for that video.
Good job on the video and good looking truck.
Hello Craig.
Thanks for commenting, I appreciate the positive feedback. There will be more videos being posted within the next few weeks.
Yes,I learned that with my first car with halogen bulbs
Hello Mike.
Halogen bulbs are highly sensitive to grease and dirty from finger tips, thank you for your suggestion. I will be upload the high beam video soon. Im going to incorporate your comment so that people do not damage their bulbs before they install them.
Easy and informative. Thanks
How r the led lights now after a few yrs? Still working? Any issues? I just got a 2021 taco off road n replaced the interior n license plate lights. I'm hesitate about the headlights since the ones I bought (2 paris) r only guaranteed for 1 yr ... so I placed one set on my camry for now to test.
Dope vid brotha
Thank you Aj.
Thanks for the info brother.
FYI we got good taste in colors I also went with white.
Hello Professional American.
Thank you for commenting, white is a great color as it's a timeless color. My last tacoma was dark grey so I decided to get a white one to mix it up. I'm glad the video helped, let me know if you have any questions.
I know im randomly asking but does anybody know a way to log back into an Instagram account??

@Clay Jairo Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Do these leds match the color of the daytime running lights?
Hello Evin. The legs and drl match perfectly, pure white color.
Is the LED output strong? I hear there are not as strong as HID?
Subscribed to your channel cuz we have the same truck buddy looking forward on your build
Hello Ryan.
That's great, I really like my new Tacoma and I'm glad I got the manual transmissions as well. I'll be upload videos regularly. Let me know if you have any questions about the truck.

Awesome Video! Thank You!!!
You're so welcome, glad to help others find affordable modifications to their Tacomas that will allow them to see better.
I wish people that made videos like these showed us the comparison at night aiming towards a dark road.
When they just show the front it doesn’t really help to see if visibility improves
Hello Osvaldo Guillen.
I have already made a view of a POV at night; real time driving video, comparison of low, high and fog light. It's detailed and should give you a really good idea on what these bulbs can offer you.

The newer model didn't fit my 2016. The bulb base couldn't clear the space between the opening and an engine bracket.

Hey man, great video. One quick question, I have a 2017 Tacoma SR base model access cab and was wondering if the low beam and high beam bulbs would both be H11 or are only the low beams H11, thank you
Hello Jordi.
The 2017 Toyota Tacoma SR5 will have a H11 low beam, H9 high beam and H16 high beam. When you order the pair for the low beam, go ahead and try to install them in your high beam as well. For example, I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad and it tells me that I need (2) H11 and H9, but the H11 bulb type fits in all three. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Stryker of Seattle thanks for the reply, I went ahead and ordered two pairs of H11’s. Thank your for the installation video
Hello Jordi.
Good luck with the install, your headlights will be dramatic brighter after the install.
Thanks for all the great well thought out videos. Recent transplant to Kirkland and I do not like driving in this rain with OEM so I've been doing research all morning and came up on your channel (now a subscriber). The HIDs I've read about in forums look like they're superior but I can't find any forum that doesn't have some unreliability issues. The LED's seem to be the solution for me. The link you provided is different than the Auxbeam F-16's I'm thinking about going with. Was this an option when you bought? If so, why did you go with the model # you went with?

Hello Chasstan Prichard.
LED's are superior to HID's as they preform at a cool temperature and do not need time to warm up like HID. The link you provided is the original model which I would buy. You'll be please about how bright they're compared to the stock, you'll notice a huge difference with your high beam and fog light. Everything becomes more visible.

Hows it going man? I have a 17 Trd Pro and was wondering if all I need is the 2 pairs of the H11 bulbs? Since I will be replacing my Low beam and High Beam as well?
Hello PandaTacoPro
You will need to order 2 pairs of H11 bulbs for your low beam and high beam. The only difference between the headlights in the pro versus the TRD Offroad and TRD sport, is that your inner housing of the headlights are painted black. Congratulations on your Pro, hopefully one day I'll buy a 4Runner Pro.
Did you have to re adjust the height after the HID install? I realized that mine instantly was very high and was probably blinding folks.
Hello Scotty B.
I did not adjust my LED bulbs in the fog light, low beam or high beam. If I'm driving on the road I usually only have my low beams on (projector lens that focus the light). The fog light and high beam are unadjustable. I have not gotten flash for having too bright of lights even with the fog lights on. If you're worried about blinding people, just keep the low beams on while driving.
The lights appear to have a little fan at the back for cooling purposes I guess, I noticed on mine that the fan wasn't running on either bulb, do you know if the fan comes on only when the bulb starts getting hot or should it be running all the time..??
Hello Vin.
My experience with the Auxbeam Bulbs is that the fan is always on. For example, when I'm sitting in my truck with the engine off the fans are running. The fans regulate the temperature of the bulb and ballast as the ballast creates more heat than the stock halogen bulbs. Did you buy the Auxbeam F16 series bulb or are you using a different LED bulb? I would ask the manufacture or if you've bought them off of Amazon, exchange them for a new pair. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I have a 2020 tacoma sr5. Amazon states that this will not fit my truck. I don't understand. Do some h11 bulbs not fit in the low bean and fog? Thanks
Hello Blaine Sword.
Order three pairs of H11, I know it says it's the wrong bulb type but I've installed H11 bulbs and they've been working in my truck for 2.5 years. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Nice review!
How have the LEDs been holding up? Do they perform as well as the OEM halogen bulbs in regards to light output and distance the light is thrown? Do they match pretty well with the OEM led daytime running light strip?
Thanks
Hello Mrlolibre
The LED's are holding up and they've been used for 8,000 miles so far. The only problem that I've had 1 loose connections, so I returned them to Amazon (1 pair). Other than that, these bulbs will be 2x as bright and give you more visibility on the road. During the day, the reflectate road signs light up. Order a pair and you will not be disappointed.
I have the same truck without the technology package. What bulbs do I need for high beams and fog lights?
Hello Garrett.
Please look at the link to the description of the video, or write your specific year, model, and trim so that I can look.
Did you use that same bulb for the fog lights too?
How about that lift tho... you missed that install video lol. But I am curious what lift youre running (UCAs?) and tire size.
Hello Conrad.
Current Set Up: Leveling Kit (RevTec 2 inch spacer), Add-A-Leaf in the Rear. Gives me about 3 inch lift all around. This is better known as a budget lift.
Future Set Up: Fox 2.5 with Resi with a Dakar Leaf Pack, Total Chaos Upper Control. I'll be doing a video when I install this on my truck.
Tire Set Up: Falken WildPeak AT AW3 285/75/R16 (looks like a 35's with a 16 inch wheel)
Wheel Set Up: Stealth Series Customer Ray10's 16 Inch
I have a 2019 Tacoma off-road. Just curious before I purchase... the high and low beams take the same bulb (both h11)? Seems odd but if it works it works!
Great video, great explanation and great filming. Got a subscriber from me!
@strykerseattle sorry. Scoured the comments and answered my own question!
Hello @@cal3b803.
Yes H11 for your high beam, low beam and fog light. Order 3 pairs of bulbs and you're all set. Thanks for commenting.
What are you using for high beams? The chart read H9, but I can’t seem to find the product. Any recommendation?
Hello USCTrojanMan1.
I've chosen to keep the stock bulbs for my high beams as I could not find an LED replacement for them. If I decide to upgrade them which I will in the near future; I'd go with an HID because the high beam uses a reflect lens and not a projector. Also, the LED headlights and fog lights are bright enough that I normally do not use my high beams. Let me know if this has answered your question, if you need suggestions for HID replacements let me know.
Based on the video, he's using the same bulbs on both his low beams and fog lights. Is this understanding correct?
I have the same truck. I just got the Auxbeam conversion kit for the low beams. Do i need a conversion kit for the fog lights as well or just the bulbs. Probably a dumb question i know.
Hello Jeffrey.
No question is a dumb question, to answer your question. I simply ordered 3 pairs of H11 bulbs without a conversation kit. You are the second person to mention the conversation kit, and I don’t know anything about the kit. It should be a direct fitment.
Great easy video
Nice truck! How to those lights throw light down the road? I used opt 7 and tho they are bright and look good on the truck they did not throw light down the road at all. Driving in country roads going fast bad idea lol.
Hello Aaron.
These Auxbeam F17 LED Bulbs do a great job of "throwing light" down the road. The projector headlights limit the area of light distribution due to focusing through a project lens, but it's definitely bright. I replaced my low beam, high beam and fog light. The fog light is bright enough on it's own to drive at night on without the low beam on, so with the low beam and fog light on it's extremely bright at night. If you are looking to get "brighter bulbs" I'd suggest replacing your fog lights with Baja Squadron Pro Lights. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Doesn’t the high beam and low beam have different bulbs? If so, do you know if they are both H11 bulbs or different.
Hello Paul Revere.
Yes when you look at the bulb size comparison that I attached in the description of this video, it shows two different bulbs. When installing these I thought I'd see if the low beam bulb fit in the high beam position, and it does. So if you have a 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma SR5, Sport or Offroad you'll use H11 bulbs in all three positions. If you have a TRD PRO then you'll only use a H11 in the low beam and high beam position as the fog light is a Rigid Industries Fog light. Let me know if I've answered your questions correctly.
which ones would I need if I wanted to change out the high beams as well?
Hello Kim.
Please refer to the bulb chart that I linked in the description of the video. I left the stock halogen bulbs in the high beams, but I plan on replacing them soon. Auxbeam does not make the bulb type that I need to replace the head lights so I'll need to find another brand.
are these bulbs for both high/low beam headlights? and which model can i use for the fog lights? i own a 2019 toyota tacoma...thank you
Hello TheNamelsTryone.
The low beam, high beam and fog light is the same bulb H11. You'll order two of the same pair.
Great video , excuse the Trolls.
Are those 33" tires or stock size Faulken ?
Hello Bryan Resch.
The tires are a 285/75/16 (33”) and not stock size. Check out my suspension, wheel and tires video for more details on the tires. Let me know if you have any other questions.
link from where you bought it please.
Did you install the fog lights? What model of the Auxbeams did you use for the foglights?
Hello Ernie. The 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad and Sport use an H11 for the low beam, high beam and fog light. If you have the SR5 they use a different bulb type due to not having the technology package (LED and Projector headlights). If you have my exact model truck then order 3 pairs of H11 bulbs from the like provided. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Did you install the f16-h11 in the high beams as well?
Hello Damien Clark.
Yes the H11 bulbs fit into the high beam position as well.
I have a 2019 Tacoma SR5... will h11 work with headlights and fog lights... not to worried about high beams... can’t really find anything for 2019 yet... even the chart doesn’t show 2019...
Hello Joshua Anderson.
I know that the SR5 have the same headlight as the TRD Sports / Off Road of past years (2016+), you should be fine ordering H11 for both the low beam and fog light. Order 2 pairs or 1 pair to start, test the fitting and if they fit correctly order the second set. Let me know how it goes? There should not be any difference as the 2019 tacoma is still 3rd generation tacoma.
hey, Stryker what tire and wheel setup are you running and what kinda of lift are you using? Subbed your channel to see if you already had any videos on this subject but says you have no content? Weird because I just watched this video. By the way liked your video and going to order these till I upgraded to HID lights later.
Hello Stephen.
You can find all of this information in my 2017 Toyota Tacoma Playlist, I've also attached them down below so you can view them that way. Let me know if you have any other questions, LED bulbs are better than HID bulbs (see link below).

Hello Stephen.
This address why LED are better than HID.
My opinion: LED are instantly on, HID take time to warm up. LED last longer, and led have less heat discharge if they have a high quality fan. I've been using HID since I was 16 years old, and now that I've had 8 years of experience. I can honestly say LED are better in everyday, I know some will say different but LED are the future of lighting. I use LED lights in my new house, my energy bill is 1/4 the cost when I had halogen bulbs and it's cooler in the house. Read below for the official response.
Link: www.xenonpro.com/led-vs-xenon-hid-headlights-which-are-better
Changing your car headlights is a chance to upgrade to something considerably more efficient. Most factory new cars, unmodified, from the last 20 years come with halogen headlights installed as standard.
These are the baseline, and the cheapest component available, so they are used in the mass market to provide the standard quality of headlights we are all familiar with. But technology has come on a long way since these headlights were first developed, and today they are simply too inefficient to compete with the other models available.
Aside from high-end, luxury cars, which are now increasingly coming with more advanced head-lighting installed, road users can easily upgrade their standard headlights to either LED or Xenon HID lights, for significantly improved results.
Without getting too stuck in to the technical differences between LEDs and Xenon HID headlights, both are capable of producing broad equivalences in terms of vastly stronger, more efficient lighting. The differences come in the way these bulbs are designed and manufactured, and in general the expert preference would always be to choose LEDs over HID headlights.
Understanding Xenon HID Headlights
Xenon HID headlights, or high-intensity discharge, are a common alternative to halogen bulbs. Instead of halogen, HID headlights use another gas - generally xenon. Passing xenon over an electrical charge allows these bulbs to burn much more brightly than the glowing filament design bulbs, which leads to efficiency savings and improvements in aesthetic and visibility.
These headlights are usually brighter than LEDs and halogens, but they are significantly more fragile, and they are not solid state in the same way as LEDs. This means that HIDs will need replaced much more frequently than LEDs, and in some cases can even burn out before a standard halogen headlight would.
HID headlights are a significant improvement on halogens, and depending on the color temperature, you can choose a light quality that suits your preferences. However, over time, these bulbs can start to burn at lower or higher temperatures, changing the quality of the light they emit, before burning out. HIDs will do a job, but they are problematic over time, and in many respects LEDs represent a more sensible choice for both short and long-term use.
Who Should Use HIDs?
Many people are choosing to upgrade to HIDs, but a certain percentage of them will eventually go on to switch to LEDs. While HIDs are brighter and more efficient than halogens, they are prone to failure over time in a way that LEDs simply aren’t. If you are on a tight budget and you are looking for a quick, short-term fix, you may want to consider HIDs. However, don’t be surprised if you end up changing your headlights several times over the next few years, particularly with so many cheap foreign imports currently flooding the aftermarket.
If you want something longer lasting, and more cost efficient over time while delivering substantial improvements in the quality of your road lighting, you may be better off choosing LED headlights for your car.
LED Headlights Explained
LED lights produce similar improvements to HID headlights, but they go a step further in providing both clear, bright lighting and durability. By 2030, industry estimates project that as much as three quarters, or 75% of all lighting sold will be LED based, and car headlights are no different.
Now that the component costs of LEDs are coming down year on year, more people are choosing to upgrade their headlights to LEDs, and they are not turning back. LED lights use a number of light-emitting diodes to convert electricity from your car into light, with significantly greater efficiency than both HID and halogen bulbs.
Because they are solid state and built to last, these headlights can in theory be used for decades before they will need to be replaced, saving you the ongoing maintenance burden and costs associated with other bulbs.
Furthermore, LED kits can be easily installed on your car, either by yourself or by a professional mechanic in just a few minutes. Once you’ve installed your LED headlights kit, you can expect high quality, warm, white light, illuminating significant portions of the road ahead when compared to basic halogen bulbs.
Who Should Use LEDs
While many motorists want the results that LEDs deliver, some choose other types of bulb in the first instance, like xenon HIDs as a replacement to factory fitted halogen bulbs. If you want low hassle, increased efficiency, strong headlights for your vehicle, you should have no hesitation in opting for LEDs.
Now the headlight of choice for top end and luxury vehicles, motorists worldwide are now waking up to the advantages of LED headlights, and the benefits a retrofit of LEDs can have to any car. LEDs can cost more in the first instance than HIDs or halogens, but over time this pays for itself in lower maintenance and fuel costs long-term.
Upgrading Your Headlights To LEDs
The process of upgrading your headlights doesn’t have to be difficult. With all the benefits of LED headlights available at low cost, and easy installation for even non-technical motorists, an LED kit is an essential investment in the long-term future of your motoring.
Not only will you benefit from better road lighting conditions and increased visibility in all weathers and conditions, but you will also save on fuel and ongoing maintenance costs by upgrading.
Our LED headlight kits are manufactured to precise standards, and guaranteed for the long-term. For more efficiency headlighting, and significantly lower operational costs, there is no better option than LED headlights.
Theres many different H11 on amazon. Why is yours the F16 H11? Are they model specific?
Hello Gearholics.
After contacting Auxbeam directly, I've figured out why they have chosen to call their H11 Led Bulbs "F16". "F16" is their identifier for their brand, you are still ordering the right size bulb which is H11. If you have any other questions, let me know. Use the link I've provided below and you will order the right size bulb if you are ordering for a 2016-2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad / Sport.

Are the fog, high and low beams all H11 type bulbs? I just bought a 2017 off road and I'd like to get 6000 or 6500k bulbs installed all around. Thanks for the video, that looks pretty easy.
Hello Phil Hansen.
Purchase three pairs of H11 bulbs; then you'll have your low beams, high beams and fog lights switched over to LED.
Hello! So it’s been a year since you uploaded your video. I just purchased a 2018 TRD Pro Tacoma and I don’t like the lights at all. I want them white like yours and this is one of the best videos I’ve seen. After watching your video, I’m really considering purchasing these, but...after a year, do you still have them? Do they still shine the same? Any problems over this year? Yellowing headlight? And I want to do high and low, do I use the same size bulb? Thanks in advanced.
Hello Hygenunez311.
Do I still have them?
Yes, they have been installed on my truck for over a year and a few months and I am still pleased with them. They give off 2x the amount of light in the high beams and fog lights and the low beam is extremely bright as well. The only difference between the low beam and high beam/ fog light is that they are reflective lens.
Do they still shine the same?
Yes, Auxbeam states that they bulbs will last longer than normal halogen bulbs. They're as bright as the day I installed them.
Any problems over the last year?
Yes, one of the two fog light bulbs burned out due to water in the lens. You will not run into this issue as you have rigid fogs on a pro tacoma. I returned my bulbs and Auxbeam replaced them as it was within one year. If you order them from Amazon you can order another pair if they burn out, then keep the new bulbs and return the old.
Yellow headlights?
No, I have no seen any yellowing of the project lens. They ballasts are 35watt and not 55watt, thus giving off lens heat and intensity. The yellow of the project lens is called by pro ballasts and head exchanges. These have been create to me.
I want high and low, do I order the same bulbs?
Yes, order two pairs of H11 bulbs from the link provided in the bio.
Cons:
Only con is that the heat exchange / fan on the LED bulb is noisy but you know its working. You can only hear them when the car is off and the headlights are one. Not a big issue but something to think about.
Get these bulbs, you will be happy. Let me know how it goes and whether or not you have any other questions.
Stryker of Seattle Thank you so much for the quick reply! This is very helpful! A lot of people have been telling me that HIDs are better. I have had problems with HIDs in my previous vehicles and this is why I would like to try LEDs. Do you still recommend LEDs over HIDs? Thank you.
Hello Hugonunez311.
Hi, thanks for these vids! I’m going to buy the H11’s for my 2020 tacoma trd off road. I know H11 work for both low beam and fog, what size did you use for high beam?
Hello William Keller.
H11 bulbs for all three. I used a H11 bulb in my high beam.
The Pentz Project awesome thank you
Hello @@jackbauer9077
No problems; best of luck with the install.
So do they work with the (auto) bright switch I had an FJ and switched them out A few years ago with a different brand and took away one of my options.
Hello No Pro.
They should be able to turn on automatically with the auto bright switch. I have my lights set to "auto" in my tacoma and I've never had a problem.
The Pentz Project Thanks Man ordered a set.
Hello @@nopro5433.
You're welcome, best of luck with the install.
Nice! Any adjustments needed to prevent blinding other drivers on the road, also any flickering since you had it, thanks. The link you have sent me to a H1 advertisement, I didn't see h11 as one of the option , h1 different from h11?
Hello Leo.
There might be some slight adjustment with the headlight house, but there is no adjustment with the fog lights. The reason why you'll see a dramatic change in the fog and high beam is because those lens are reflective, and the low beam is a projector lens. Let me know if you have any other questions.

In my 2017 Tacoma part of the inside fender is to close to install on both sides. need help
Hello Steve.
I'm happy to help, did you end up getting them installed or do you still need a step by step guide? If it's the distance between the rear side of the headlight and the fender, then simply put the bulb in at an angle either from coming from below the headlight or from the side. It's sometimes difficult to install LED bulbs because some are longer than the stock bulb which is most likely your problem. Take your time installing them, and I'm sure you will be able to get them installed. Another option would be to loosen the headlight housing and put it away from the truck to get another half inch or so, or remove it completed to complete the install. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello Steve.
Update: look closely how to put in the bulb at 4:20, use the same technique by putting it in at an angle.
The H11 bulb would be the same bulb for the low, high, and fog? I have 2018 Tacoma off road and want to change all three
Hello Justin.
Yes all three (low beam, high beam and fog light) will be the same H11 bulb. That's what I put in my truck so it should be exactly the same for yours. Good luck with the install, you will be surprised on how bright your high beams and fog lights are after the install.
Stryker of Seattle thanks I appreciate it I did order them and got them installed looks great quick and easy thanks
Hello Justin.
Great! Glad to hear it, and yes it's a simple install. I hope your happy with the bulbs as they are brighter than the stock bulbs.
Thanks for posting. Did you notice any "fan" noise from this bulb? I replaced my fog light with Morimoto fog light and love them. I can't decide which LED bulb to get. I just subscribed and will follow you to see how you build your Taco.
Hello.
Thank you for subscribing and I'll be posting videos as I build the truck up. As for the noise / fan noise; I do notice it and it is noticeable when the leds are on without the car running. Once you start the truck I can not hear the fan noise.
How did ya get the fog lights in? Do you have a link to the matching pair?
Hello Danny Brengartner.
I installed the fog lights by reaching below the headlight through the grill opening while the good is open. Another option is to fully remove the front grill so you can easier access to the fog lights. I might do a fog light installation video so people understand how to install them. Let me know if you have any other questions.
The link to the LED should be in the description of the video.
Quick question.... Just installed these but I noticed that the DRL do not come on when these are activated... I can't remember if with the OEM low beams the DRL did came on?
Hello Charlie_33.
The DRL is the LED light stripe that should come on automatically when you turn the headlight bulbs on or if they're set to automatic. The left lever behind the steering wheel controls this located on the end of the lever. Look to see if the setting is rotated all the water forward or backwards. Let me know if you have any other questions. The DRL should be on all the time unless you turn off the headlight housing and only have the fog lights on. Look at the symbols at the end of the lever and you'll see what I'm talking about.
@@pentzwerks Yeah.. they were turning on the whole time.. it was me.. never mind.. thanks bro!
Hello @@diaphanoux.
I'm glad I was able to help, too be completely honest I thought there was a DRL bulb as well but it ended up being the turn signal bulb.
These led lights have little fans in them that make a rather loud humming noise when on. Not sure why these would have fans and halogens don't. Anyone know?
Hello Eric.
LED's need a ballast to operate and Halogen bulbs do not need a ballast. I believe the ballast is what causes the humming because this is the only difference in power supply between the two. Also, the ballast is converting the power from the truck to the bulb therefore causing a humming noise when on. I only noticed the humming when my truck was off and I was walking away from it after driving it (LED's stay on till the truck locks).
Hi I have a 2019 TRD Pro I wanna get LED for the headlights do you have any recommendations? Thank you
Hello Jeremy Muther.
If you have a TRD Pro, you'll order two pairs of H11 bulbs. One pair for the low beam and one pair for the high beam. Link is in the description or go on Amazon and type in H11 Auxbeam F16 LED bulbs.
Pentz Project thank you will def check them out
man i dont know what is wrong but i purchased the exact same bulbs and it will not fit the opening do you have any idea why it is not besides being to small pofm an opening lol
Hello Jesse Mccovey.
I would try to angle to tip of the bulb into the housing then push it in. It's difficult on the passenger side, you'll get through it. Take your time trying different angles and it will eventually fall into place.
IMO it doesn’t matter how they look, it matters how they perform! You have a night shot on how they light up the road!
Hello Graham W.
The night time point of view video will be uploaded within the next 2 weeks.
Do you know if fit the 2020 Sport.
Hello No Pro.
The bulbs will fit the 2020 Toyota Tacoma Sport; it's the same bulb for the low beam, high beam and fog light.
I have 2017 Tacoma TRD off road. Will the H11 work on the low, high, and fog?
Hello Lawrence.
Yes H11 will work for your low beam, high beam and fog light. Simply order three pairs from the link in the description.
Stryker of Seattle awesome and thanks!
Hello Lawrence.
No problem, happy to help. Good luck with the install, let me know if you have any other questions.
NIce! so what about the high beams can you use the same bulb as high beams? do they make bulbs for fog lights? im learning a lot from your channel.
Hello WackedOut13.
Since you have a 2018 Toyota Tacoma OffRoad and have the technologies package, you'll order 3 pairs of H11 Auxbeam. The H11 bulb will fit your low beam, high beam and fog light. You'll see a dramatic difference in the fog light and high beams since they're reflective lens. The projector low beam will be brighter as well, and the light will be focused through the projector lens. I created this channel so that people could learn from my modifications, feel free to ask any questions.
Stryker of Seattle those h-11 will fit in perfect on the fog lights no need to modify it?
Hello WackedOut13.
These are a direct fitment, no modifying the fog light housing or the head light housing. The only differences between a stock halogen and the Auxbeam bulbs is that they are LED and have a ballast attached to them.
Hi. I was wondering if you can give me an update on your LED headlights and how well they’re working for you. I’d like to buy the same lights for my Tacoma but have read mixed reviews about the brand. Thanks!
Hello Almar.
Backstory: Installed both the low beam and fog light at 400 miles on my Tacoma, now there is 8,800 miles. So I've used my LED bulbs for roughly 8,400 miles and about 8 months of driving. The installation is quick and the bulbs have performed well.
Reasons why I bought a lower wattage and these bulbs: 1. Auxbeam has been around a long time and I've used their HID when I had an Audi. 2. Best price on the market, not too high and you get what you pay for. 3. I chose the 35 watt and not the 55 watt, due to the fact I didn't want to turn my headlight housing yellow from heat exchange. 4. They've lasted and worked great, 2x the brightness of the OEM bulb and have a white color tint to them.
Problems and Issues: The only problem I've had is my fog light connect keeps loosening due to the fact some water go into the connection, this is my fault and not Auxbeam fault. There is a fan noise that you can hear when the bulbs are on and the car is not running, this is the led bulb regulating their temperature. These bulbs create less than half the heat as the stock bulb.
People have mentioned that there are better bulbs than Auxbeam's F16, but honestly these are a good buy. If you want to spend $100 on a pair of higher quality bulbs that have 55 Watt ballast, you will burn your headlight housing and they are $1000 to replace (Technology Package for Tacoma headlights). Also, people mention HID and I'm not a fan of these because it takes 10 seconds for them to warm up versus LED bulbs take no time.
Let me know if this helps, and if you have any other question.
Update now: I have F16 Auxbeam H11 in my low beam, fog light and high beam and I'm pleased with their performance. I wouldn't suggest buying them unless I tried them out first. If you don't like the bulbs and you order them from Amazon, you can return them within 30 days. Simply tell Amazon they weren't correctly described in the description and they'll pay for the shipping back.
Stryker of Seattle Thanks for the info!! I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I just bought a 2018 Tacoma TRD sport and the stock halogens are horrible. I’ll try these LEDs out!!
Hello Almar.
Yes the halogen bulbs that come with the Tacoma are dim in comparison to the led replacement. Also, the low beam you won't see a significant different due to the projector focusing the light, but it's clearer than the halogen. The difference in the fog lights and high beams will be dramatic different.
Awesome video - can someone provide the links for a 2020? Low, high and fog on Amazon.
Hello Mart Rocha, Jr.
The link will be in the description below. Toyota did not change the bulb type for the 2020 Toyota Tacomas. Please order 3 pairs of H11 bulbs through the link. Another option is to type Auxbeam F16 H11 Bulbs in Amazons search bar which will bring you to the product. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Are Tacoma Limited Lights different from any other trim model??!?!
Hello Bobby.
Toyota Tacoma Limited is H11 Low and H9 High, and Toyota Tacoma TRD is H11 Low and H9 High. I ended up using the same H11 in both the low beam and high beam. I'm sure you'll be able to do the same, the only difference between the limited and TRD is that the limited has a different fog light. Just order two pairs of H11 bulbs and see if they fit, if the high beam does fit then send it back to Amazon. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Are the headlight bulbs the same as the fog lights or are they different sizes?
Hello Manuel.
If you have a 2016-2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad, Limited or Sport with a Technology Package, your low beam, high beam and fog light will be a H11 bulb. Order 3 pairs from the link in the description, if you have a SR5 then check out the link in the description that goes over bulb type. Let me know if you have any other questions.

What do you mean by level it? Level the height that the lights are aimed at or the truck itself?
Stryker Seattle leveling the lights, I think he means making sure it’s pointed at the right angle?. This is my first truck so after doing some research I see that the 2019 Tacoma has non adjustable lights.
Hello@@basils3283
The 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma headlights are non-adjustable. My headlights and fog lights are aimed correctly, and I do not blind other drivers. Keep in mind that I have a 3 inch lift, so the lights are aimed higher.

Hello Ferdi.
After installing these Auxbeam LED bulbs, I've had no problems with malfunctioning headlight housings. I'm not sure why your daytime running light would stop working. When you say "daytime running light" you mean the led stripe correct? Please comment with your year, model and trimming. If your truck is a 2017+ Tacoma with less than 36,000 miles, I would bring it into the dealer because it might be a malfunctioning headlight housing which would be covered by your bumper-to-bumper warranty from Toyota.

Hello @@zoilorami
I would suggest getting LED's and not HID's due to the fact LED come on instantly and do not need time to warm up like HID. HID stands from high density discharge thus giving off more heat and possibly melting your projector lens. I use to use HID in high school but LED's are better in almost every way. Why do you suggest HID over LED? I haven't had a problem with my LED since installing them a year and a half ago, and they are on all the time when I'm driving for safety.
U should do a nite time comparison.
Hello Jackson Vang.
I'll go ahead and record a short comparison side by side at night so you can see the clear difference. I'll leave the low beam, high beam and fog light stock on the driver side and leave the LED in the passenger side, does that sound like something you'd like to see?

If you have the exact same 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad or Sport, you will need to order 3 pairs of H11 (low beam, high beam and fog light). I waited to install the high beams because I wanted to see how these bulbs performed in the low beam. Needless to say, these bulbs performed great and I'm using them in all three bulb positions. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Stryker of Seattle awesome man! Thank you so much. Have my low beams coming today and I was going to test them first, as well.
Hello Cody.
Good call. It's always a good idea to test a product before suggesting it to others. I waited a month before I uploaded this video to suggest the product. Turns out these are extremely bright and make a significant difference over the OEM halogen bulb. In the future, I'll be replacing the fog light with a Baja Design Squadron Pro in Amber.
Stryker of Seattle I can always look it up, but fairly easy installation for the fogs?
Hell Cody.
Yes it's easy to install the fog light. Steps:
1. Locate the fog light on the outside of the truck, know the position.
2. Reach behind the grill with hood open, look at the backside of the fog light housing from the behind the grill. (You can also remove the grill if you need extra room for your arm to reach in, you do not need to remove it to do the install).
3. Twist the OEM bulb, remove it and unplug the wire hardness.
4. Replace it with the LED bulb, plug in the hardness.
5. And your done, make sure the bulbs are twisted properly and close your hood.
6. Done, enjoy your bright new led headlights and fog lights. Let me know if you need more detailed directions. Do not install through the wheel well like I've seen others do, it's easiest to go through the hood. I will be uploading a video about how to install the fog lights and high beam soon.
After having these bulbs for a while did you notice staining on the inside of the projector housing?
Hello Sutton.
In a previous comment, someone mentioned that Auxbeam LEDs cause the project lens to turn yellow. From my experience, I've driven 7,700 miles with no issue at all. The only negative experience I've had with these bulbs was a loss connection, that was solved by tightening the connection with zip tie.
Please read the article below, these bulbs produce 30% less heat than halogen bulbs (stock bulb). I believe it's heat, dirt, and age that causes the yellowish tint to the projects. LED's and HID's, with poor heat exchanges can cause a high heat environment for the projectors therefore turning them yellow.

Stryker of Seattle one more question, I saw that you said you could use this bulb for the high beams. I thought that the high beams were H9’s?
According to the bulb type chart, it should be a H9. One day I decided to see if the low beam bulb H11 fit into the high beam position, and it did. Right now I'm using H11 Led bulbs for the low beam, high beam and fog light on my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Stryker of Seattle nice that’s great to know
Is there a blue tint with these?
Hello Ashley.
The temperature of the bulbs is 5K so the color is closer to bright white rather than light bulb tint.
I bought some led's & took em back they ran too hot on the fan housing didnt want to risk a fire so settled for white lighting hallogen bulbs much safer..
Hello Old Timer.
Did you install the 35W or 55W, yes the fan housing runs louder than what I would like but my LED stay cool to the touch. I apologize about your past experience, maybe the bulbs that you ordered were defected. And you're right about putting in the halogen bulbs, its always better to keep the vehicle as stock as possible.

All it takes is for one fan to quit and then you could have a serious problem. It might cost you more than a headlight housing.
Hello @@jonthepilot6924.
If the light begins to start flickering, then that could mean you have a bad connect or the fan has stopped working. Most LED will stop working after the fan stops working as the led will become hot and burn out. As far as melting your headlight house, you have to take into consideration that the LED fans are not the only thing that keeps the LED cool in temperature. The headlights are located in the front of that truck so they're cooled down by the constant air on them as well as the air that is let in by your front grill. I believe Toyota led enough room behind the head light house itself to keep the house and led fan / ballast cool to the touch.
Solution: Before starting your truck, turn on your headlights and open up the hood. If you hear the fan noise from all of the LED's then your LED fans are working and cooling the bulbs. If you do not hear them simply contact Auxbeam and have them replaced.
Habits: I've gotten into the habit of checking my headlight housing since I purchased these. There has been no problems and no visual cues that would elude to the projector housing become yellow from the heat of the LED's. LED's require less energy and emit less heat than HID's and traditional Halogen bulbs.
Every situation could result in different outcomes, but from my experience I've had zero problems. And feel confident enough to recommend these bulbs to other Tacoma owners. I'll be doing a long term review of these bulbs within the next two weeks and I'll address a lot of the questions in the comment section of this video.

Excellent thank you very much.
Hello Richard.
Thank you very much, please check back for future videos of the truck. Please let me know if you have questions or suggestions.
PTZ Industries was reading on Amazon reviews for a different brand which has 6000K and some people said it is pretty strong for other drivers. What is your experience and have any other driver flashed you while driving at night on the opposite side?
Hello Richard. I have not been flashed once since installing both the headlight and fog light leds.
Reflector Headlights: Most people get flashed if they install an HID or LED bulb in a reflector lens, which is found in more cars headlights. The reflector lens reflects the high intensity light all over the places, and does not focus it like a projector lens.
Projector Headlights: People that have project lens can benefit from high discharge bulbs due to the fact the project lenses focus the light on where it should be when driving. In my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad with technology package, it comes with projectors so I haven't had any problems with other drivers.
Ok I don't have the tech package, in your opinion will that affect it if I install these lights?
Hello Richard.
After doing some research on google, and going through the TacomaForums and Toyota.com you should have the projector lenses in your headlight housing even if you do not have the technologies package. This will not affect the headlights install, and you will following the same steps I do in the Install Video.
will this work for my 2019 tacoma 2w SR on all three lights??
Hello CodeDK.
Yes all three will fit your truck if you have the fog light package installed. Some SR models do not have fogs light installed to lower the price; but if you do then order 3 pairs.
@@pentzwerks appreciate your fast reply!
Hello @@codedk3928
No problem, good luck with your install.
What’s the purpose for that convertor? The battery looking thing on the extended wire?
Hello Silverhorder 1969.
A ballast regulates the current to the lamps and provides sufficient voltage to start the lamps. Lamps have no regulator and can draw too much or too little power on their own. The ballast makes sure that the amount of current being provided to the lamp is not more than the specification of the light.
Thanks. I just ordered 2 sets of Lighting Dark H11’s LED headlights and no ballast came with either. I was very upset but plugged all 4, both high & low beams up to my 2017 Tacoma and they worked fine!? IDK maybe the newer models don’t require them? So I guess I will see?
Hello@@silverhorder1969
Maybe the ballast was incorporated into the back of the bulb themselves. Technology is constantly changing so maybe Lighting Dark H11 bulbs do not require ballasts, usually LED need a ballast.
Hello Stryker Seattle! I couldn’t believe it but on the box my Lightning Dark’s came in actually says, “built in error canceller to avoid error warning” then it also says “for some sensitive vehicles like 2005 and up jeep dodge Chrysler or some European vehicles may require to add an anti-flicker harness for LED headlight decoders in addition.” That being said they worked great so far In my Tacoma and I didn’t have to find a place for all that extra cordage and harness!
Hello @@silverhorder1969
Perfect, I'm glad to read that you're happy with the bulbs. I'll definitely check them out if the Auxbeam's fail.
Did you replace the H9 high beams as well?
Hello Christian Payan.
The Auxbeam H11 bulbs will work in the high beam, low beam and fog light. I've had them installed for 2 years and 30,000 miles without any issues.
@@pentzwerks Awesome thank you! I just installed mine yesterday on my 2019 Tacoma.
Hello @@christianpayan5637
Excellent. I'm glad you were able to install them as this is the reason I uploaded this video.
Ok, so after watching your video, I went ahead and purchased the auxbeam lights. I used your chart, and bought 2 sets, one for the headlights, and the other for the fog lights......both H11...100 bux in Amazon. ...
Hello Rudy.
Auxbeam retail for $49.99 a pair with free shipping off of Amazon. For two pairs that would be $100 which I think is a great deal in the way it's an OEM replacement and makes your headlights twice as bright as stock halogens. As for your questions about the fog light installation, I titled this video 'LED headlight' and not headlight and fog. If you'd like to see the fog lights installed I will gladly make another video explaining the process.
Process of replacing the fog lights:
1. Do not remove the fender well lining like I've seen others do. Reach around the front grill on the inside of the engine bay, the fog lights are located right below the headlights.
2. Identify the bulb, remove in the same procedure as I did with the headlights.
3. Replace the OEM with the LED bulb, by placing the bulb in the housing and connecting the harness.
4. You are done, make sure the bulbs are functioning properly by turning on the headlights and fog lights.
Let me know if you have any questions for me.

Thank you sooo much.....so just an fyi...Amazon has blocked auxbeam from selling their products online....i had to order from the actual auxbeam website......Amazon had them for 98 dollars, and the actual website has them for 103...Idk what exactly happend between the two, but sumthin about warrantys....
Hello Rudy.
Thank you for letting me know about the difference in price in relation to Amazon and Auxbeam. Like any aftermarket part, some companies find it difficult to honor the warranty as they sell thousands of bulbs, and I've found the HID are highly unreliable but these LED bulbs are working well. I hope your bulbs installation goes well and that you are happy with the product.
Seattle Savvy
Thanks again. ..... I didnt think I would even get a response from an actual person.
Hello Rudy.
This is my personal channel so each question will get a response from me. Let me know how the installation goes and whether or not you have any questions for me.
Having trouble trying to lock it back in any suggestions
Hello Michael Suarez.
If you look at the bulb themselves you'll see there are three tabs that lock it into place on the bulb housing. Looking at the hole in the housing, and match the 3 tabs to the 3 tabs on housing itself. Twist clockwise until you feel it lock into place. Let me know if you still need help or have installed them correctly. There should be 2 tabs that look the same, and then one tab that is a different shape. If you do not line it up properly it won't go into the housing. Be sure to connect the power last, as the harness when connected might get into the way of the install.
Stryker Seattle got it thanks! Would you recommend getting the same ones for the fog lights
Hello @@michaelsuarez1775.
H11 bulbs (same bulb) fit into the fog light and high beam. I'm glad you were able to do the install.
I have a 2007 will those fit?
Hello One Cheek Wonder.
Please comment below with your Year, Model, Trim and whether or not you have stock headlights (regular halogens). I've also attached a link so you can see bulb types in the description of the video.

Does any's taco shake on acceleration? At 25 mph then 30-40?
Hello Alyssa Estrada.
Are you talking about Manual Tacomas or Automatic Tacomas? I did have some rotating noise during 25-40 in my manual transmission truck due to a clam shell bearing.
@@pentzwerks no, automatic.. dont know what it could be.
Hello Alyssa Estrada.
I’d highly recommend taking it to a dealership if your truck has less than 36k miles and less than 3 years old. My truck is going in next week to get a full check up.
Would the h11 fit the high beams
Hello Dillian Mamou.
Yes the H11 Bulb fits low beam, high beam and fog light.
Will these work for high beam/fog lights as well?
Hello Joseph Holmberg.
If you have a 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma Offroad / Sport, you'll order 3 pairs for your low beam, high beam and fog light. If you have a SR5 with fog lights, you'll order three pairs. If you have an SR5 without fog lights you'll order two pairs, low beam and high beam. If you have a Pro model, you'll only order two pairs for the low beam and high beam. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@@pentzwerks thanks!
Hello@@joeholmberg250.
No problem, good luck with your install. You'll be pleased with the new bulbs, they'll bright and allow you to see clearly down the road.
Hi - I keep hearing how LEDs are brighter, like it’s a good thing. I want LEDs on my Tacoma for the color but I don’t want to be that jackass with annoyingly bright low beams. Could you speak to this? Are these annoyingly /blindingly bright on low beam?
Hello Oregon Phototrekke.
The low beam is the Tacoma are projector lens so you won't blind people. The high beams are only turned on when no one is on the road. And the fog lights are really bright because they have reflective lens so the light is not focused in one spot like the project lens. Try these bulbs out and you will be happy with their performance. You won't be one of "those guys with the bright lights."
