putting the gear shifter in Sport also forces the gears to stay the same when using the paddle shifters. Using sport+ in Drive(D) will shift on its own still letting you use the paddle shifters but it will force change gears when rpms get too high or reach a certain level :)

Another thing that happens in track mode which many may not catch. It tries to keep the starting RPMs higher to keep you in a peak power band. So when you driving in say like your idle driving you sit at around 2K rpms. You select track and you will see your rpms be maintained in a gear at around 4K rpms.

One more thing. From what I understand. The only way to turn off AdvanceTrac and have it stay off in Sport+ or Track (toggles) is to be stopped with foot on the brake when you turn it off. Would be nice if a tune could allow us to turn off AdvancTrac without it coming back on at all.

From what I understand on my ‘15 GT, Track mode is the only one that turns off traction/stability control completely. Sport and sport+ adjust the level of traction/stability control response to allow a bit more of ‘out of shape’ or slide. All modes adjust (except normal) adjust the timing or tune to give more aggressive throttle and shift response. But, again from what I understand, any mode other than track, the traction/stability control will turn back on if you get too far out of shape and you lift off gas pedal. This is what causes most crashes. I find Sport (shifter) is more than enough for a roll race.

@@drewilson2520 here. Sport mode ( s in gear) would shift automatically UNTIL you touch the paddle shifts. Once you do that, it won’t shift automatically. You gotta hold + so it can go back to automatic shift. Sport mode it’s more aggressive in my opinion. If you mess with your paddle shifts while in sport + it would go back to automatic shifting, after going certain RPMS ( 5 or 6k rpm I believe)IM MOT SURE OF THIS LAST ENTIRELY. I always do pulls in sport( S) and go back to D after I’m done having fun. Just careful with the paddle shifts. Changing between d to s and back it won’t hurt nothing.

Handy tip there man, thanks. I specifically came across this video looking for a way to force the downshift for a roll but then letting automatic take over for the rest of it. With 716 whp it would be impossible to hold down the upshift paddle fast enough before the next gear change needs to happen and manually up shifting is just embarrassing how slow it is to respond. Keep up the good work. 👍

You want to explain the difference between transmission "S" and S/S+ drive mode, but you don't really explain it.
4:12 you are saying that transmission "S" makes "transmission aggressive and throttle response aggressive". First, what is "aggressive", is it different shift points or shift speeds or something else? Second, transmission "S" doesn't have effect on throttle response, drive mode "S" does. Drive mode "S" enables as you shift into transmission "S"
4:25 you are saying "going into drive mode "S" (not transmission "S") makes it so that everything is in sport mode". What do you mean by "everything"? Magneride? Your car might not have it. Active exhaust? Same. Suspension? Doesn't change on Mustangs. Shift points/speeds? No, because shifter is in "D". So what really changes? You just avoid explaining. Purpose of the video would be to actually explain that
4:44 you are saing "S drive mode changes everything associated with the car as well (in addition to transmission and throttle response)" - no, if shifter is in D, drive mode S doesn't affect transmission (obviously, otherwise drive mode S and shifter S would be doing the same thing, there would be no difference between using drive mode S and shifter S)
5:17 it will downshift for you in manual S mode if your RPM is low enough to risk engine stalling
7:05 you are "roll racing" but shifting back in D to enable automatic shifting I suppose. You want to race in S, not in D. By switching back to D you are cutting your performance, which is the opposite of what you do during a race
