Those few weeks where everyone hated JellyBean felt like the most forced, artificial drama this site has seen in a while. Of all the channels for people to go after, they choose some unproblematic child whose worst offence on the platform was being kind of annoying. Just felt so weird to watch it unfold the way it did.
I didn’t even think she was that bad, yeah the content she made was kinda low effort and easy to make fun of, but after seeing the stuff that people were saying in those “haha funny skeleton meme” videos was just off-putting. Death threats, encouragement of suicide, torture etc. Yeah ik it’s commonplace on the internet and game lobbies but I still have a uncomfortable feeling in the back of my mind when I see it

He targets furries for the most part. Like, why? What harm have they caused to you? A guy is currently in danger for almost being doxxed, his friends were because of the same commentary guy, he sent a dm asking him to stop making content on him because he wants his private info and family to be safe. And the attacker makes a video on the dm harrassing the guy. The attacker says "You're a grown ass man doing this for a living" at least he has fun doing what he loves. Hate trains like this seem stupid to me because half of the time, it's not even against someone who has an actual toxic personality or like, committed a felony. 6:42 I wish I didn't remember r/watchpeopledie. It was a sort of horror that connects to "I was shocked, but I couldn't stop looking at it." At one point, the subreddit was actually locked in a way or another. I also remember Reddit had an option to turn on/off 18+ restrictions (unsure if they still do) and the only way to find the subreddit was to do that. I was in middle school, I believe, when it shut down completely.
3-4 million views per video is far less than 1% of CZcams users, so getting her videos alone should be rare, even rarer to get any videos about her. I don't know about others, but shorts isn't something that I get, at least not on the page you start when you go to this website and it's the only page I use besides each video's recommended list if I happen to look at them, the one with half videos I'd watch maybe and half videos of stuff I've never seen and have no idea why I'm being shown. It only gets worse if you keep scrolling, but that is similar to the first page. I scrolled to the bottom of the front page, it didn't take long and it was filled with strangers or CZcams mixes. At least scraping bottom of a barrel lead to more of what you're looking for. It won't be much, but it'll be there. At least this machine works well enough that it can actually do that, it would be slow if the top part of the page had all the strangers and CZcams mixes.

There is no genius, it's known that negativity carries a lot of visibility sometimes. MSM or whatever it is, utilises negativity, the more people hating on it leads to more interaction, clicks or whatever they are going for. There's something for everyone. Whether you want to watch our favourite furry talk about a TV show for 8 hours or want to watch someone scream while playing minecraft for 2 minutes. It's even more unbelievable that people would be bothered by some kids commenting something so harmless. It's CZcams comments ffs. I've been on CZcams since like 2009 I think, I've never once been bothered so much by some random comment to make several posts and even a entire sub on reddit for it. But that's reddit for you, I guess.

I don't know about others, but shorts isn't something that I get, at least not on the page you start when you go to this website and it's the only page I use besides each video's recommended list if I happen to look at them, the one with half videos I'd watch maybe and half videos of stuff I've never seen and have no idea why I'm being shown. It only gets worse if you keep scrolling, but that is similar to the first page. I scrolled to the bottom of the front page, it didn't take long and it was filled with strangers or CZcams mixes. At least scraping bottom of a barrel lead to more of what you're looking for. It won't be much, but it'll be there.
At least this machine works well enough that it can actually do that, it would be slow if the top part of the page had all the strangers and CZcams mixes.

The content isn't the greatest, sure, but the underlying genius is astounding. Jellybean managed to force themselves to the top and capitalize on hate, and their interactions helped massively. The hate Jellybean got only led more people to their channel. Massive respect.
But not people supporting her, just bystanders.
There is no genius, it's known that negativity carries a lot of visibility sometimes. MSM or whatever it is, utilises negativity, the more people hating on it leads to more interaction, clicks or whatever they are going for. It's possible it's now later in that era and it's dying out, but it's been a thing for a long time in internet times.
This is probably the hundredth time someone has done something and someone has claimed it's respectable that "the very thing you were against is now being virally praised" or something along those lines. Calling it genius is an insult to whatever being a genius is. Is copying something else a genius action?
