Ehhh, the dev is a bit of an ass, and this is his one good breakthrough. dont get me wrong, game good for sure! but he is kinda annoying

The dev did several vlogs on his channel as well, detailing the whole process of turning what was once a 2 day game for a contest, into a fleshed out experience. I hope more indie devs do this. It's honestly fascinating to see how developers come up with ideas and tackle problems with coding and gaming.

dani's devlogs on karlson are so good, though they're more about being funny and entertaining than about solving problems with the development process (also he made it out of spite from some child commenting he can't make a 3d game and i just think thats hilarious)

Even though pyro thought he would have a different ending he did beat the boss without any flare just pure concentration, props for this man.
Holy shit! I've been following Miziziziz for years, as well as this specific game when it was just a simple project for a game jam. Glad to see that he's finally getting the recognition he deserves with the full release of the game.

I'm really glad to see traditional survival horror making a comeback after years of stuff like Outlast, Amnesia, P.T., and FNAF dominating the indie horror scene. There's still a ton of games coming out like those, but stuff more in the vein of RE and SH seems to be on the upswing and I am extremely grateful.
Shame streamer/youtuber bait still kind of dominates the market though.

Define "CZcamsr bait" as most of the games you listed can't be proven to be bait. You seem to just have a strong bias for horror games while also trying mask it and devalue these "youtuber bait" games.

My dude, the chat wasn't trollin' that hard, in the final boss fight, when you get those trails of cocoons, if you actually shot a flare into all of them you'd only break all of them at the same time, and you'd get like 20 monsters onto you at once. Not a great plan. Chat saved you on that one (also not that useful just to damage the corner flesh, since you can just shoot the shotgun at it, really no reason to use the flare in that room).
In fact, boss is pretty easy, if you just speedrun it (just by looking at the tendril coming from the stalker to see what corner flesh to shoot next), you can make it out just using the shotgun. (the cocoon lines shoot predictibly after you, and give you a chance to dodge them by showing where they'll spawn, much like how the stalker appears, then dashes after a brief delay).
Cool game nonetheless, awesome unique mechanics.

You can always rely on Indie games for novel ideas. This one reminds me of flash games I used to play as a kid. Oh, the good ol' days.
I mean, if you look hard. Most of the indie scene is Sturgeon's law personified though, and even the games people praise =/= games you'll like.
Like, if you're looking for good survival horror that isn't just a ripoff of Outlast or Amnesia, the indie scene is P slim pickings with this being one of the exceptions along with a few other recent games.

An indie recommendation I’d give is FTL: Faster Than Light, it’s an awesome ship game made by a few guys, and I was surprised at how sweet their credits were with them thanking their friends and families.

I agree he'd love it, but it is a classic survival horror formula. Which is good, because majority of indie horror is still stuck in the "combat = not scary" mindset outlast and amnesia created, and the perspective, artstyle, etc are all amazing.
Kinda wish it was getting more attention having followed it since early on, but I guess it didn't blowup on twitter.
