I agree to an extent, but I also think the problem is, people like this often stop short of making actual changes to their behaviour. It's almost like a get out of jail free card, they get kudos for being so brave and honest, but they think owning up to it is where the work begins and ends, so the cycle continues. It does take courage to own up to your mistakes, but I think sometimes it becomes a thing they do because it's easier to just say "yeah I've been a bit shit, fellas" of your own accord, rather than be called out on it and have to then put in the work to fix it because you've been called out. Does that make sense? 😅
