If it ever happens, who would you like to see as the villains of the Hell Arc of Bleach? Could we see the original Captains of the Gotei 13 return? Will more revived Espada appear? Let me know your thoughts!
The only espada I can imagine return are Nnoitra, Aarenerio and Summari.
About the original Gotei 13 members it would need new design after Kubo drew them on a portrait
ANY PREVIOUS CAPTAIN COMMANDER. WHO TRAINED YAMA???
To me it seems likely that the ruler of Hell has some kind of relation to Ichibei, as a progenitor "prime being" just below the Soul King.
Hell being kept out of the normal "3 worlds" cosmology seems like a deliberate form of secret-keeping. Either that, or Hell predates the 3 Worlds. Perhaps it's where the Soul King himself came from?
The dead original heads who imprisoned the soulking maybe??? In kubo's mind I'm sure he will come up with new villains
I want to see a fully functional Soul King as the enemy. I can't imagine anyone else from hell giving Ichigo problems at this point.
I hope Isane gets to reunite with Unahona at some point in this arc. Maybe she can show Unahona how far she’s come. Imagine if Unahona asked to see Isane’s bankai.
You know I wonder how much of a bad ass Insane is as Unohanas former apprentice
She better have gotten significantly stronger in those 12 years because she was weak and the undead captains will be far stronger now.
that sounds so mid lmao
@@mauroxxi6380nah, that just isn't in Isane's nature. She's too kind for bloodshed 😅
We haven’t even seen what her shikai can even do yet
I'd like to see Nnoitra and Gin the most. Their hell designs will look insane.
Gin and Tosen would be very cool
Gin better look like a snake
Gin is someone I’d be the most interested to see because I can see him holding a huge grudge against Aizen if he gets involved. Also adds to his tragedy since he really should’ve been at peace but instead ends up somewhere terrible
@@zytenespada6564 They never got the ritual to be sent to hell though..
@@mauroxxi6380 But wasn't it stated that they didnt give Gin a burial at all? I seem to remember that but I could be imagining.
Wonder if the deceased Captains will have appearances that showcase their sins.
Would give Kubo the chance to flex his creativity.
Sin in relation to whom?
@@Babylauncher3000 Each of them could have a desing based on their respective sins. But less seven deadly sins style an more like the Espada each personified an aspect of death. Lets say Unohana could have a design were her face is split in two and she has a long tongue that is always drenched in blood or smt like that to represent that she developed basically two personas and was bloodthirsty. Kubo can definitely go wild in the body horror there
@@gabrieldossantos1116I hope not. I find it would be more creepy if he make them more menacing looking in subtle but extremely creepy ways but of course with some down right terrifying looking . Not literally go all gory with each character residing there. I wouldn’t be surprise he go based off how far gone they are with looks.
They're not in Hell because of their sins, though.
There not in hell cause there sins tho
I could see the villains being a mix of the different races who are all terrible people rather than a single species. It'd be a good excuse to bring back a good mix of everyone from each arc.
I still want to see how the Shinigami Women's Association may have fared after the TYBW Arc. Hardly anyone mentions how badly decimated this organization's leadership became after the main story.
Lisa turned the SWA into a host club after being made captain. The Soul Society is in shambles
honestly, ngl and tbh we don’t gaf 😂
The Men's Association, too, after losing Chojiro.
We Do knot Always Love You cleared that up. The Kotetsu sisters have taken up leadership
@@m0ckyzo185 Oh, thanks for the info! I never read that one. I always headcanoned that Lisa and Byakuya may have headed it back up lol.
It is completely believable that Hell isn’t always acknowledged in Soul Society. It is a completely separate dimension that is cut off from shinigami
And perhaps, more related to the West Branch of Soul Society? Burn the Witch characters incoming?
Not really. Rukia's attitude towards the gates appearing to drag a Hollow to Hell near the beginning of the series was very nonshalant. Like the Hell Gates showing up was not that uncommon at all for Shinigami who purify spirits in the Human world.
@@joshstephens413West Branch deals with Supernatural entities within the world of the living. They arnt spirit beings like Shinigami are.
@@Babylauncher3000doesn't mean you have to be a spirit to deal with hell though
Why don't they just use the hell movie 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
That would be totally unfair to make such a good and kind person as Juishiro Ukitake a villain. He never got enough screen time, we haven't seen his bankai, he made tragic sacrifice. And after all that a villain? I don't believe in evil Ukitake. I don't want to believe that the most kindhearted captain ended up like a bad guy.
Sorry for my english. I'm not native speaker.
Completely agree. Would break my heart if he turned evil :(
I agree that would be stupid. He could become ruler of hell like a type of Enma figure? But villain gross.
Yeah it just makes no sense, basically a recycling of the zombie captains, maybe after the kill him they bring him back to life and he's good. Very boring premise if they go that route.
@@kyokasuigetsu5752Maybe have Utikate sacrifice themselves
@@StallionFernandoOr Utikate can help rule the Unified Hell
I just want Kubo to finally give some spotlight to Soi Fon and the Vizards. I want major fights for them that actually showcase their abilities instead of getting one shot.
Agree, and Sasakibe's return would be cool too
I kinda don't want Bleach to become "fight porn" - the series. A lot of characters showcase things in fights that people still overlook because it just not "cool" the way they like it to be. So it would be wasted anyway. Focused on actually telling a story, unlike CFYOW or SAFWY.
@@D-HavocIt kinda always been a fight porn.
@@jsalg6481 I hope so. His backstory and how powerful he supposed to be came out of nowhere. It was probably done to hype up how strong the sternritters were, but I would love to see him in action.
@@D-Havoc You can have both. Fights and story. I just want to see these characters have an actual fight instead of the one sided ass whooping. I want to see what the vizards can do when they are not being used to make the bad guys look strong and intimidating. I want to see an actual Soi Fon fight with shunko and shikai along with her various flashstep techniques. Oh, and not fight an enemy that is immune to her shikai power because that fuckin lame. You gave these guys these guys these powers, let them use them.
This is the perfect chance to include Yachiru and Ukitake as major characters at least. From what I read, the one we do see return seemed a lot more obsessively violent. Maybe Kenpachi could face the previous holder of his title a second time. Ukitake never showed his Bankai either, so we’ll almost certainly see it from him in hell
Plus, based on the clear difference between souls being reborn in a cycle and the complete separation of this cycle by being sent to hell, Maybe Ywach would have been sent to hell if he lost to Ichibe. His wording during their fight was also “Remove from the cycle of rebirth” not 100% sure of the exact wording though
Kuruyashiki vs Zaraki would go crazy
Yachiru is just the manifestation of kenpachi's zanpakuto.
Ukitake vs Kyoraku would be epic
@@jaded_dreiko4225 And is also the true name of Unohana, the first Kenpachi. He’d never fight his own blade
@@jaded_dreiko4225Yachiru is Unohana. Different Yachiru as Zaraki's Zanpakutou
Ukitake's sword looked a lot longer than usual in the panel he stabbed Szayel. So I'd assume he has already changed too somehow despite just having just arrived there
Nah it's probably it's true form, isshin mentioned zanpakuto would be the size of skyscrapers. Since ukitake is in hell he doesn't need to suppress his soul.
@@zytenespada6564isshin mentioned that they would be that huge if they couldn’t control their reaitsu. Ukitake clearly has great control. This is probably just an enhancement same way espada 8 is more powerful than ever.
@@earlvaughan-williams3835 possible
You know, other than members of the Gotei 13 being Guardians within Hell, most likely guarding the exits. I also imagine the Zanpakuto spirits being manifested within Hell. And Hell's effects could affect how Zanpakuto spirits are. Imagine Sogyo no Kotowari being adults or ready to help their Shinigami protect an exit.
@@earlvaughan-williams3835 having the ability to make something that should be the size of a skyscraper be the size of a sword usually means you would also have the ability to let it go back to being the size of a skyscraper. at will.
Honestly, I would also find it pretty believable for the Noble Families' first ancestors (I didn't read all of CFYOW but I believe they were the five powerful beings that sealed away the Soul King) to be the rulers of Hell and the main enemies.
And if all five of them were sent to Hell via the same ritual or something similar, it would totally make sense as well that, due to the utterly INSANE amount of time they spent there, their physical and spiritual forms would have been altered and warped so much that they would've basically created a whole new race within the realm.
most bleach fans are unaware of the big influence Saint Seiya has on bleach (kubo watched/read it as a kid) and so if i had to wildly speculate i could see this arc taking inspiration from the Hades arc. i could see ,initially, some deceased captains (maybe the original gotei) being framed by kubo as the bad guys/betrayers of soul society, much how it happened in the saint seiya arc with their gotei/captain analogs. if it were 1:1, i guess, then later on we would get the twist that secretly the hell captains were being double agents trying to stop whoever the big bad guy that runs hell is and their plans. 🤔
That would be a great homage to Saint Seiya while also serving an air of mystery or intrigued. Something that Bleach's arcs sometimes have (Soul Society and The Lost Agent).
That would be cool
@@D-HavocSo Mister Grant could be Milos and Utikate Radamanthys
Imagine Lord Kubo combines DC's Blackest Night and Hades Arc, two of the greatest Story Line unified
No nigga horrible idea we don’t need more mfs saying kubo can’t write and stole ideas
I hope we get a new faction tbh. Don't get me wrong, seeing the OG Captains would be dope, but I hope we also get introduced to a new form of entities alongside the returning characters. New lore, new power scales and factors to contend with
same, as much as im a lover of DBZ I dont need them to pull a frieza with this one…Id love to see a whole new group with dangerous intent and sick abilities…
It would be cool if it was a combination: like if the returning characters (espada and captains) are just the underlings of the real villains, some sort of demon lords.
@@dkreni2 yeah that would work also, cus like other comments Id love to see the original gotei 13 captains go against the new crew..
Honestly It would be awesome if the Big Bads from the hell ark were the Five Original members of the noble families.
The 5 Original Siners.
To me the espadas, the deceased Gotei 13 captains, etc could be potential villains, but, for the main villain, it should be a Emma Sama like character given we are talking about Hell and Bleach is inspired in japanese lore with themes and characters like the shinigamis or possible Kubo would create an underworld/hell lord based in other foreign or another cultures like greek (with Hades) or judeocristian (like Satan) depending how he chose.
Agreed.. previous Captains could be a potential Espada or Sternritter type enemy with a new leader from Hell as the main big bad. It would be a huge miss to do a Hell Arc and not see Bleach’s version of “Satan” whatever that is. I’d love to see Kubo’s hellish character designs for the next set of enemies. Reusing old characters as enemies is interesting, but I think I’d rather see a whole new set of enemies tbh.
@@DFTNSHEXGRMHave it like DC Blackest Night where the concept of a Natural Force is the Villian
Would like seeing a rematch of Zaraki and Unohana with her getting a power up and him learning more of his real power. Maybe even fights with other kimpachi.
Would also be interesting to draw parallels between the Hellfire of Ryujin Jakka and Kenpachi's oni transformation, as zanpakuto spirits with Hell origin.
While their reiatsu level is made out to be a clear factor, it doesn't have to be the only reason.
Yamamoto and Unohana used to be bloodlusted criminals while being part of the original Gotei 13. After the first blood warfare they decided to lay low but that doesn't cleanse their many sins of the past.
Szayelaporro was terrible as a human. Mayuri in his being as a soul reaper only cleansed his hollow sins.
The mulitated soul king is the soul Society's original sin. Ukitake survived his illness off a piece of the god that the ancestors had killed and mulitated. That makes him a sinner.
This fits well into the narrative because the concept of hell is corruption.
"The mulitated soul king is the soul Society's original sin" i think it should mutilating soul king is soul society's first sin. Because you sound like blaming soul king
@@mauroxxi6380No. What they meant was that Mayuri killed (purified) the hollow Szayel, which only purified Szayel's sins as a hollow, but Szayel as a human (before he became a hollow) was horrible human being. Hollows that were sinners as humans before they became hollows (like murderers or rapists) get sent to Hell (based on their sins as a human) since Shinigamis cannot purify a human's sins, only a hollows sins.
@mauroxxi6380 No, the other dude that got stabbed is he fought him in the past
The Ukitake one seems like a bit of a reach
@@WanderTheNomad even if he himself didn't commit the crime, he benefited from it. That would add that power always comes at a price
Just an interesting thought about Kazui and the fish... I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but Ukitake's zanpaku-to is named Sōgyo no Kotowari (双魚理). If you break down the kanji, the first two (双魚) means a pair of carp (the reading may be a bit different outside usage in a name). I wonder if there's some connection between Kazui and Ukitake being foreshadowed there. Also, The last kanji in Ukitake's zanpaku-to name, 理, (kotowari) means something like logic, reason, justice, truth, ect., so one translation could be 'justice of the twin carp'. I find that interesting given that Ukitake seems to be keeping the maniacs from escaping Hell at the moment. Just some random thoughts lol. If anyone has a better take on the Japanese there, do reply and let me know!
For potential villains, I think the Hell arc being a culmination of all that came before would be super cool. Shinigami, Hollow, and Quincy all fighting together under some demonic entity that wants to take over all of creation after being freed from hell. Maybe it's ruler is even the counterpart to Reio or Reio himself, enacting vengeance for his betrayal.
Hell most likely has a lot of surprises stored within it
I would like to think there is another entity in Hell who is just as powerful as Reioh since the Hell dimension has prexisted since before the Soul King created Heaven and Earth. It would make sense. But then you'd have to explain where this "hell god" has been this whole time.
@Chann223 probably sitting in hell. It seems hell can't exactly be messed with in terms of being destroyed which is probably why they choose to put a lid on it Instead.
Have their own version of Darkseid or Mephisto
@@Chann223Maybe have it like Marvel where the Soul King push it far away
I think the concept of Enma acting as a counterpart to the Soul King would be interesting. In addition, I think Kubo set up the original Gotei 13 as perfect villains with the art he published as well as the scenes from the TYBW anime. They were ruthless, bloodthirsty criminals, and two of them (Unohana and Yamamoto) were already named in the Hell Arc chapter.
Ngl the OG Gotei 13 would be dope af as the big bad of the hell arch. I'm so here for this idea. Plus the fact Kubo made sure to have them introduced in the TYBW makes me see a fairly solid setup for it to happen
The reason why they do ‘Konso Reisai’ after 12 years of deceased captains is because of Chinese Zodiac years. There are 12 animals in total.
And I wouldn’t be surprised if rulers of hell are 5 noble ancestors that created ‘original sin’. I believe they’re dead millions of years ago but stuck in hell since primordial era. They’re antithesis of ‘God’ (Soul King) that made Soul King sacrifice inside of ‘crystal seal’ in eons. They’re literally ‘King of Hell’ or ‘Satan’.
I’ve been wanting you to tackle this topic for a while and there’s so many opportunities. We get a chance to see Ukitake fight unshackled by his illness, potentially more zero division, Aizen, exploration of hell. Kenpachi gonna crazy with that reunion with a stronger Unohana 😂😂😂😂.
It’s been a while since I’ve watched one of your videos but it’s nice to see your genuine love for the franchise. It’s kind it’s kind of refreshing.
Well considering how much of a disappointment the soul king was, the king/queen of hell could be the all powerful being we were expecting. I think this arc is going to take the hell verse movie concepts and basically canonize them, while streamlining and adding new elements.
Now that you mention it, I’m all for a main female villain. I was also expecting the soul king to actually have a major fight after his introduction.
The soul king is reborn as ichigo 's son. All according to his plan.
I wouldn't mind Hellverse becoming canon and added to.
Making the og 13 squad the new villains would be perfect. Specially with the last two returning. Now I'm way to excited to see if there's more.
There are a few characters and series lore I'd love to get much needed expansion:
Chad needs EXTREME love
Current Espadas with secondary resurrections
Rukon district and expansion of Shinigami in other cities or countries
Actual fights and subtle changes in fighting choreography, like boxing, Kido-off
Of course, Squad Zero bankai lol
Kirinji bankai Atlantic ocean with a tsunami😳
I'm pretty confident Ulquiorra is going to be in hell. Ichigo's hollow and shinigami powers are so intertwined that Kubo could easily just say Ulquiorra was killed by a zanpakoto since Zangetsu was technically the one who killed him in that hollow form.
I’m down for that. I would love to see his new he’ll design and it would be cool to see ichigo and him have a rematch.
@@earlvaughan-williams3835just so ichigo can dawg him?💀
Being killed by a zampakuto is not the only condition for going to hell!
Ulquiorra was never a human,he has no sins, watch episode 5 again
Rukia literally explains how a hollow go to hell.
@@IceGodzilla619 well yeah 💀. Ichigo never got a definitive win against him. You do know the espada have become way more powerful after being damned to hell right 😂😂. Ssyazel was able to damage renji post timeskip which means ulquiorra would be even more broken now.
@@earlvaughan-williams3835 considering renji wasa walking L before tybw not impressive
Also wasn't it revealed syazel was originally the 0 espade before yammmy?
Honestly, a part of me think that by some small chance Ichibe would take the role of antagonist during the hell arc.
I mean considering how Ichigo’s son might be the driving plot point of said arc, Ichibe would notice this and probably enter the world of the living to either kill or make use of him in order to balance out the “natural” order of things. And considering how Ichigo won’t accept this, he’ll likely face him to protect his son. Plus it’ll be cool to see Ichigo vs Ichibe and we’ll probably get to see the full extent of Ichigo’s power and more if the current anime doesn’t do it first.
I want to see this so badly. Ichigo will show no mercy if Ichibei tries to touch his son. It would be sick to see ichigo defeat a royal guard.
Ichi-go vs Ichi-be. The battle of the Ichi. Battle of the one. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Nah I don't see him being a villain, his role along with the Squad 0 is to protect the SK palace and nothing outside that, even after TYBW.
@@felipez3115 true but for all we know all the things happening and coming out from hell might reach the soul palace. So in someway they might have to get involved to deal with this threat.
yeah no, Ichibei is curbstomping ichigo. It's been well established that ichibei's ability is pretty much a trump card over all zanpakuto. Unless Kubo wanted to throw in another deus ex machina like with the silver arrow, I don't see Ichibei being a really big villain. Also I think with the quincy gone for good this time, the natural order wouldn't be at risk as it was.
the thing that I like about hell is that any previous dead character could be there so what if we could meet in some capacity every previous kenpachi either as ally, enemy or any kind of neutral faction
Judging from the sean in the hell ark, it looks like the Captains who died have higher authority over the hollows down there. The sword that impelled him was huge looking at that made me think the Captains must have undergone some type of transformation in hell.
personally I think the captains have the role of the Kushanada, keeping the sinners down, or that should normally be the case. now that the gates have opened, hell might have been thrown into chaos
I hope we get to see Chad play a bigger role in this, specially since he's been pushed to the back of the crowd towards the end of the series and made almost irrelevant, not to mention he himself has "hellish" powers. "Brazo izquierdo del diablo" (his white arm) translates too "Left arm of the devil". He's been one of my favorite characters and his backstory & fight with the now head captain Kyoraku are still one of my fav moments.
Hell is so weird in the bleach cosmology. It feels like kubo thought it was cool so he added it early on but then did all his world building and forgot about it. Like would hell have been effected at all with the soul kings death? Are their other realms outside the 3 worlds that exist?
I really hope we get more soon!
Imagine if its the Soul King. Ichigo DID kill him and hes supposed to be uber powerful after all.
Me? Had an idea for a Hell Arc years ago.
Called them ‘Sinners’.
My version of Hell was more lawful, with Authority and Contracts prevailing throughout.
Ikomikidomoe returning with his true name would be interesting. I'm still holding hope for Barragan to return, would be cool if the skull guy on page 71 on the Hell one shot was him.
Yea but like Tommo said, Barragan died by his own hollow powers
@Baweybawey True, but he still had captain level reiatsu. So it would make sense that he had reiatsu too dense to break down for reincarnation as well.
@@Matthew_WebsterOr like CFYOW Tie In create an Artificial Barragan
We will definitely meet the possibility now corrupted powerful members of Gotei 13 alongside those from the past for obvious reasons. That's in addition to the various monstrosities that lurk in hell. This may be the final secret that hurts Soul Society alongside unfortunately others.
The possibility that all the captains were holding back at some point gets me excited for the Hell Arc. Due to the possibility of seeing all the captains of Shinigami history going all out.
one thought that could be a little wild when you talk about potential arrancars that could come back. does grand fisher fit that requirement? he was killed by ishiins zanpakto.
In the Hueco Mundo arc, Szayelaporro definitely had a strong angel motif, so it's cool that he's more of a devil now that he's fallen from grace.
I commented on your “Chad” video like two years ago. About him and his family being the hidden family and they rule over hell. That’s where he is going to shine an help explains why he’s such good friends with ichigo. Did a whole paragraph about it.
Bro that's well thought theory🎉
Hi, great video. Im sprry i got a quiestion: sense Ichigo and co will eventually die one day does that mean they will all become soul reapers or just Ichigo? I never thought Uryu could be one. Again great video
Maybe the outcast former noble family?!?… wasn’t their ancestor known for doing hell stuff?
Another solid Bleach video! This channel has been amazing to not need to read or watch everything again while the new tybw episodes are released.
Cheer!
Could also be the soul king going evil, assuming he ended up in hell given his insane reiatsu. Alternatively, could be the older Gotei who have a vendetta, as you had somewhat touched on, now that Yama himself is in hell. Like maybe they were afraid of Yama’s power and now that he’s dead, they want back. Idk, just shooting ideas.
Can you possible Hell match ups or omes you would like to see I think thats a cool idea like Grimjaw vs Ulquiora
Hi! New subscriber! Just wanted to drop on behalf of my late sister, that she would absolutely MELT if her Ukitake was brought back as a villain and ended up soloing Shunsui. In 2009 she daydreamed of such a scenario and at that time I didn’t think it was possible, but NOW… keep cooking Kubo!! I hope she can see this in spirit !
Another vid about the hell arc??!?! Hell yeah!!!🔥🔥🔥😂
Pun intended
Cool analogy mate
I hope Kenpachi himself has to fight all the previous Kenpachi and simultaneously have the story show us all of them and give us the timeline.
I also hope the original noble family heads are prominent if not part of the villains and heroes themselves.
As for order in Hell, if I remember right, it was the last unnamed family of the five clans who originally suggested capping off the primordial chaos left from splitting the worlds and that would become Hell. So it is sort of primordial like you said, which makes sense as Hell doesn't seem that much like it's part of the natural cycle as first stated, and more where the unnatural and undesired are cast *out* of the natural cycle by being sent to Hell. But more importantly that clan could end up being the ones in charge of Hell themselves if that stays true from the novel which could be really cool. A single clan policing hell and why we've never seen a hint of them until now, and as Shinigami that'd be why they might employ other Shinigami like Ukitake to help when needed.
So, basically Ichigo damned himself to hell at the age of 15, that's dark
I think it would be pretty neat to see someone like Grand Fisher in hell, sort like a introduction to what's to come. Like I wanna see how it really morphs entities. I like the idea of the captains being evil mainly because them being sent there was a bit of an oopsies.
16:03 we need this
While the OG Gotei would be great to see, i'd rather Kubo introduce a brand new organization/faction of main Villains for Hell, led by a new big bad (The Warden of Hell maybe), and the OG Gotei could be the secondary faction.
The Espadas are great and all, but using them as main villains allover again after being the villains for 60% of the series would be kinda "Eh"
Or have an Unified Group
3 Predictions.
1. The main heavy hitters on the enemy side will be the original Gotei 13 + Ukitake
2. Kazui and Ichika will get a training arc in order to contribute in combat against the Sinners.
3. Ichigo will get hell powers because this is Bleach and if you introduce a power system that's supposed to be exclusive to a certain group Ichigo is garunteed to gain access to it
That's a good point about Ichigo. Maybe he would get something akin to his Hell form from the movie where he absorbed the power of the Kushanāda.
God I hate number 3
@@tristanward9937 I used to have this joke about the bount arc with my friends. The reason you know it isn't canon is because if it was Ichigo would've become a Bount half way through
@@tristanward9937I kinda agree with you. Ichigo should already be at the height of his power in this arc and we need to see that in full.
Lol about #3😁...
When you compared Szayelaporro to "Jailor" I had instant thought of Jailor in World Of Warcraft Shadowlands expansion (trailer is AMAZING btw). It also had a character who had a deal with chief o the "Hell" a.k.a. the Shadowlands to cause imbalance by pouring massive amount of souls (in general overkill in millions in the "living world" kind of stuff) into the Shadowlands.
Quincies are killing hollows straight to the Hell to cause the imbalance, TYOBW brought almost annihilation of the most "camps".
Thesis: Quincies got some kind of deal, the chief is behind.
This is random but i know you from Deviantart 🥰
You've done commissions for me i still have the pages!! I'm so glad to find you again!!! 🥰
How about time passing differently in hell? Ukitake might have just got there from our perspective, but to him, it's been 200 years or something.
I still really want this new arc for bleach. Hopefully more news comes out for it after the anime wraps up
For the Gates of Hell to suddenly open up like that, AFTER Yhwach, Gramps and co. completely erased themselves, for that balance to be tipped in favour of Hell tells me there are brings out there who collectively had Reiatsu or powers on par with the likes of Ichigo, Ichibei, Aizen, Yhwach before his erasure and so on. I feel we're going to get some INSANE new villains of the primordial world.
I really look forward what role aizen would play, As he is still the most mysterious.. And lot of unanswered questions, I'm excited!
Also if this were to be its final Arc of bleach, I hope the ending would be bittersweet tbh! And have a unique approach to it
I could 100% see the original captains being evil simply because of the way they were described, but honestly I'd say the most likely ones to become evil are the captains who'd forgotten the true meaning of many of the rituals, who believe death would simply return them to the cycle of souls only to find themselves condemned to the very place they've sent countless vile creatures. Especially if the original gotei are fine using hell as their eternal playground (since I doubt death sticks for too long there, it seems like paradise for a group of battle junkies) and don't care how many times the weak fools of the newer generations die
I would love to see Yama still be himself and try to help the others in fights who are still alive, might be even its him who sent Ukitake after zayel
I would like to see Sasakibe reunited with Yama in hell. Its not mentioned but Sasakibe does have Captain class reaitsu and it only makes sense he would go as well.
I cant help but notice, when Syzel grows his horns, plus the tatoos and a few other things, im reminded very much of Kennys Bankai. Do you think that Kenny could have sone origin or other connection to Hell?
What if the Kenpachi Title is like Bleach's Joyboy eg a Personification of an Ultimate Superior Being
Time does flow differently between dimensions, maybe hell is one of the extremes.
I really like the fact Szayelaporro's tattoos? Are the same as his hallow mask mixed with his swords release
Imagine if yamamoto, unohana, and ukitake are villains at first then become good guys again (considering the length of their stay in hell) helping ichigo and others fight their co-original gotei 13 captains. Just imagine the massive impact of their battles.
I'm not sure how anyone except maybe Ichigo could stand up to Yamamoto alone, let alone the other two with him. Assuming the Hell Captains are _at least_ as strong as they were in life. Death. Pre-Hell, there we go.
The Hell chapter was so so so much more than we Bleach fans could have hoped for and I very much hope Kubo continues it eventually
Also, wasn’t it implied that zanpakuto have souls? Could we potentially see a return of some of the zanpakuto spirit designs if they have also been cast down to hell along with their wielders
Would love to see some 7 rings of hell, 7 sin rulers all with different goals and dont get along. Also Gin ❤
Kubo maybe will introduce a villians similer to shuren from the hellverse movie as the main antagonist but i would like it if the sinners of hell and the wardons are the antagonist like the dead captains , arancarrs , and possibly quincy
This might shed a little light on the figure that impaled Shrieker all the way back then. It was a figure or at least an arm holding a giant blade that impaled Shrieker through the chest and we’ve seen Sogyo No Kotowari so the same thing now as well. So there’s a possibility that that arm belonged to a former captain or whatever it is Ukitake and the others have become…?
I really never thought of the good amount of possibilities that this new arc could bring to Bleach before seeing your amazing video, but it's really overwhelming (In a good way).
I would prefer as the main villains a new race with new characters or the original Gotei 13 (it would be the perfect end of the circle for this modern Gotei 13, to prove that they are worthy successors to protect the realms).
Szayelaporro as the "Advent Children" to introduce the situation of the Hell was a great idea due to his charisma but I would prefer to not see more Espadas (they have their arc, let's give a new fresh air to the lore and the story).
Could be that being in Hell brings out the worse parts of people, so with Syal its not obvious because even as a Hollow he was ruled by his worse nature aswell, but im imagining people like Yamamoto and Unohana, people who for aslong as they've been in the story have been "Good" but have a real dark side that we know about that they've mostly overcome/supressed but being in Hell has now brought those old dark sides back to the forefront, maybe Ukitake is still relatively "Good" since he was a fairly chill and nice guy in SS with only a minor dark side if he had one at all so could be an Ally in the Hell arc.
Utikate could be a Neutral Party or becomes himself again when he sees Ichika
Nah i think he has a very deep resentement for no having a true life , that makes a Lot of people had some very dark thoughs
My.theory is there was some type of sealing of hell ages ago that was forgotten about throughout the years and all that remained are the traditions and rituals without context. They know they need to send captains down there maybe to control something, but forgot what
It’d be nice if the wardens of hell were the former captains and strongest espada like Ulquiora, Yamamoto, Baragon and etc. Also, former royal soul reaper like Shiba clan members would be a nice gateway to learning a little more about them
I hope Master Tite Kubo is in perfect physical health and his physical problems will not cause this unique arc to be limited to just this one chapter or cause us to not meet popular characters like Gin Ichimaru or Aizen sama again.
I think at this point best hope for news is after cour 3 of TYBW where if the anime still manages to perform really well will incentivize them to animate the hell chapter and kubo would have probably worked out enough of the story at this point. also I have the feeling kubo's currently in the same mindset of kishimoto and toriyama in that they don't have desire to draw manga anymore, so hell arc can either be continued with someone else primarily drawing the manga or it'll be just through the anime with kubo's guidance on story boarding and designing.
I agree on many points you had! I'd love most of the once bad guy factions to be the levels of demons under some new big bad guy that's been the leader of hell for a long ass time like Osho has for the soul palace. Or maybe the new bad guy is one of the ancient Shinigami that chopped up the soul king and wants to come back to make more changes to the world. Either one would be a perfect call back to the creation of all things. I think it would be really cool for the new bad guy group made up of a mix of any of the races we've faced before. Shinigami, Hollows, Arrancars, Espada, Quincy, Fullbringers, or other special humans we don't know about could be at any rank with one another. Unohana could be a Princess with many legions of demons. Have a Duke that's one of the OG royal guard Quincy with their own legions. Kubo could really have a lot of ranks for the Hell squad, since the power levels would be all over the place across all of time. The distinguishing factors for ranks being strength and malice after demonizing. THis is how they decide to jail you, or if you become a King, Prince, Duke, Lords, and lesser demons would be great lineup IMO. That would also make sense to have jailers for anyone that's going against the grain or wants to try to have a lesser evil group. There is no repentance your doom is eternal! *plays BFG Division*
You will go through the Bleach series, my friend ❤
Can’t wait!!
In the Hell Verse movie, its stated that while Shinigami monitor and guard the gates from the outside, the dont have jurisdiction inside, and there are close to no records of the details inside. So its 100% believable that no one actually knew about this sooner.
The chant that Yhwach said in the anime when using Auswahlen to me is important he said "coffin of Adnyeus the object we raise is your heart" he's obviously talking about someone powerful I think that could be the villian
there are always theories about somehow having BTW tied into this story? maybe the special dragons aren't dragons, and some of the espada become those fairy tales? idk but somehow having BTW tied in is also fun to think about.
Maybe Kubo can use the Fusion Reborn as a guide where Hell over floods
I'd like to see the Vasto Lorde we were told about.
I think that It we can get some announcements on the 10th Anniversary regarding the Hell arc or A Potential Manga Adaptation of the Novels. And then after the end of the Anime adaptation of the Novels,we could get an announcement but that would be way later like 2040 or 2050.
What's interesting is that Ukitake has his zanpaktou and shikai, that would mean the other captains do as well. So in essence there's going to be a distinction between Captain and Arrancar/hollow denizens. Maybe perhaps the fact that arrancars are both hollow and soul reapers they've basically gone beyond resurrection sorta like Ulquiorra which would explain the lack of zanpaktou (I mean Soul reapers have 2 releases and visored are mock arrancars and they retain both releases and gain a 3rd in a sense with the mask) While the captains are increasingly becoming hollow like and eventually will become arrancars themselves and later evolve to whatever Szayel is now. Could be a race against spiritual pressure meaning once they run out of it they're doomed to become one or something. The verse never explained where hollows truly came from and it could just be a corruption of the soul born from Hell's unique energy causing a mutation which would explain the point in the separation of the 3 worlds in a sort of way to mitigate wild spread corruption. Most hollows don't leave Hueco so they were placed there, where they can thrive without the need of soul consumption (for the most part) due to the high spirit energy and the living world being the weakest has low amounts of spirit energy meaning they would be more likely to avoid it with the exception of a few attacks here and there allowing a chain of potentially new soul reapers to be born and mature into soldiers for the seireitei and the seireitei cleanses what they can where they can while maintaining their numbers. Perhaps the ritual is also a means to help cleanse Hell as well to ultimately stop all corruption which is why they were willing to look the other way on several offenses done by captains because ultimately they will be committing the ultimate sacrifice of cleansing the world and they could use the numbers in that side of the fence however they can get them.
I feel like the Soul Society has to have some information about hell. They're allowed to send evil souls there without an issue, they have hell butterflies, aren't phased when the gates of hell open, send captains there after their deaths, and know what the plasm is when it shows up. I assume they have a decent amount of info about it, it just doesn't come up since beyond their usual duties they probably don't interact directly with hell that often.
Szayel's arm looks very similar to the the risen army of dead Yamamoto summons with his Bankai. Maybe they have been in hell longer as Yama was so old.
I can see og gotei 13 vs modern day gotei 13. I think that would be cool to see also hell arc gives us a chance to see what Ichigo's bankai is.
If there was a new leader for hellverse, I would hope it's the progenitor of the universe that the soul king was from, him being locked up could be a duality with the soul king being a lynchpin, chained in an aizen-like state
The Story could say the Hell Leader was the Original Deity and Reioh overthrew him
Kubo continuing the gag of Ichigo not knowing who someone is will never not be hilarious to me.
i honestly think if kubo were to ever expand on the hell arc that he would most definently announce it after the anime. espically since its doing as well as it is, the best time to capitalize on that hype at the very end of the anime is to announce a new manga arc. atleast thats what i think would be the best marketing stradegy
First! Thanks again Tommo!
What if the reason for Quincy taking hollows out of the cycle of life and death was to avoid the fate of demons breaking out of hell
