My African Ancestry DNA test says that I am Balanta on my maternal side.
My African Ancestry DNA test showed my lineage to be Brame/Balanta on my maternal side.
Hello please I need your cultural praise

Im Papel. Greetings!!!
Can you give more information on the anthem E people. Are they known as the Pepel ?
My name is Eric Stone,
I received my DNA results from African Ancestry and on my maternal side it said my people are Djolla people of Guinea Bissau. Are they represented in this country.
Yh we have some jollas in villages
They are called Felupe in Guinea Bissau.
Hi! We share the same maternal lineage, I also took the African Ancestry DNA test this past January 2022. If you have any information you can share about our present day family. That would be great.
They r in Senegal also
The Djolla are mainly in Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Guinea Bissau. They are also known by other names in these countries. In Ghana, they are called Wangara. In Mali they are called Bambara or Daffin.
Have you any info on the Brame of Guinea Bissau
How do I find out what tribe or village my grand father was from?

Hi there im trying to find my heritage my last name is Bass i hear that is a manjaco name are the manjaco a Mende people
@@kingakatutura1437 no, Mende are from Liberia, Manjaco are in Guinea Bissau, Gambia mostly. There is only a few hundred thousand left. Some of us speak Wolof now instead of our native language
Are you Manjaco?
@@leonhenry4861 Some of the tribes in the Senegambia region are actually the same as people in Liberia. Any tribe with Man in front of it is likely the same people just a slight difference, it is confirmed that the Mandinka in Senegambia are linked to those in Liberia and are the same people.
Bro he get all wrong fula from Bissau😂? Bissau is balanta and manjago
Do you watch Black Acres of Gambia?

Who is the brame people in guinea Bissau? I found out that I'm from the brame people and want to know more about them. Any information about them?

My tribe in Guinea-Bissau is Mancanhi, Pepel, Balanta Naga and Capeverdian. I live in the US 🇺🇸 you missed many other ethnic groups. Guinea-Bissau have over 40 ethnic groups.
He forgot also people like me, who speak only Crioulo and Portuguese and don't align themselves with any particular group..Abraço fraterno!
@@crioulom120 What you mean you don't align yourself with any particular group? If you're originally from Guinea-Bissau you must have an ethnic group otherwise you re not from Guinea-Bissau.
@@NeyCD83 My father, mother and I were born in GB. Three of my grandparents were born abroad and all went to Bolama as teenagers. My forth grandparent was born in GB. All of the above, including me can only speak Crioulo and Portuguese. That's what I meant 'I don't align myself with any particular group'. I am just a guinean, just like anyone else.
@@crioulom120 what's your parents ethnic group? Are they portuguese?
@@NeyCD83 My parents are guineans, born and raised. My grandparents were Portuguese and Lebanese...I was born and raised in GB, and have no other nationality...

He talked about them, but using another name: Felupe. That's how they are called there.
I'm Fula of Guinea Bissau❤
I am GUINEENSE!
It's not like Islam reached the region by peaceful means either
I identify with being Balanta ..because my DNA is specifically Guinea Bissau, and I can't be Mandingo cuz none of my family look it ..I'm not Fulani because we were caught in the slave trade and Fulani did sell slaves on average during that time . I did my research im thinking Balanta has a list of smaller groups that are now no longer known . is that true sounds like it because of your video . you ask who is missing do you know?
Balantas are in great numbers on the south. I was stationed in Tite and all the plantations of rice were done by Balantas, not counting the raising of cows. Good people.
Your research is right fulas did sold lot of slaves they play both sides that's why the mandinkas called then fula which means twosided peoples. They are naturally cunning, self centered and look down on everyone except themselves.
Djola!
Are the Fulani people that gorgeous :???
Jola or diola
DNA 2013 DJOLA!
Yes, I am from GB and I do NOT align myself with any I ethnic group!
Of course brother, Guinea Bissau is not only tribes. We also have people who are only Bissauguinean and that's all. The most important of all is what we call Guinendade. ❤️🇬🇼
