Rising sun might be useful in multiplayer when you can't rely on the monster coming to you and sometimes have to chase after it.
Me using twin vines since Morb keeps teleporting to the perpetually healing longsword player.
Double suns is such a cool combo i can't wait to try it out
It feels like they dont work together. One slows the bullet speed to increase the hits of pierce ammo but the other speeds it up to extend the range. You will probably miss out on hits if you use both.
@@markos50100 does the one that increases hits decrease critical range?
@@tsquitz it doesn't decrease range as far as we can tell. That would require testing in the training room since pierce shots already have a larger range than normal shots.

Yea basically forced to put a shield on but the damage output of the new skills is very underwhelming so I’m switching to lbg. Hbg is officially a support weapon lmao
It would be the opposite then? In previous games with HBG you were an ultra glass cannon that used siege mode to obliterate every monster in 2 seconds. If anything HBG became a heavy sniper not a tank gun

Crouch fire + Rising Sun + Normal ammo actually looks really viable. It's basically wyvernheart.
I hope there is some skill that helps with being able to fire more bullets before the overheat kicks in. Current guns with max reload and recoil can already fire pierce like mad and reload in a fraction if a second

Just duo with another gunner who has the opposite.
Double circle is counter intuitive. One slows the shot while the other speeds it up. The slowing one makes pierce ammo hit more times by slowing the bullet speed, while the speed one extends the range the bullet can go.
@@markos50100 That's not true it says nothing about speeding it up or extending its range.
@@sanguinetales In Setting Sun's description it says it slows down the bullets to increase the hit count. On the other hand, Rising Sun is speeding up the bullets to increase the critical range. I wonder if those are just purely descriptions or they actually affect the speed. (Their original Japanese names are Ironsilk Ring - Dull and Ironsilk Ring - Fast, they're more self-explanatory than the English names)

So, two rings won't cancel out each other? Since one is slowing your bullets down to increase the hit count, and the other is speeding up the bullet to extend the critical range. Or those are just purely the descriptions, they don't actually affect the speed?

Can you use the crouching stance with wyvern heart special mode? Honestly LBG looks a lot better because piercing ammo is awful in Rise.
So spread is going to be a bit more viable with HBG's rising sun

Boy this brings me back to the old days of Hame runs. Rising sun is actually great, hear me out.
Get a skill that decreases the agro, set yourself away from the monster, set up both rings, and you can go ham into a monsters with spread or pierce guns. Crouching shot does seem to be kinda short for what it is, but if it is manageable I'll be fine with it.
There is a no skill for that in Rise

OK I am so confused here... I been maining hbg since I started rise and I wanna learn to use crouching shot. I know you stated that it uses ammo from the pouch but what else do I do to get into crouching shot? Trying to learn abit in the demo
They locked some of the moves and skills in the demo, it is one of them.
If you're on PC you can use chat engine to unlock them.

in the days before adept HBG once you hunkered down for some siege shelling you were committed to that action
@@nodot17 you were still able to roll out of siege before Gen/GU but only as a short side roll.

There’s already ballistics as well I can’t wait to see how it all comes together, admittedly lbg won the final battle of the guns both circles take too long to set up and ensure you can shoot through so they won’t have much use, crouching is cool but Jesus the lbg evade coupled with the mini wyvernfire that lodges crystals is making me wanna switch from HBG.
@@SanganY crouching fire looks very underwhelming giving to capacity of pierce 2 is under 9. Then it just makes the whole game slower with no dps that’s worth the skills. Lbg is literally a hbg and lbg mix right now. Blowing hbg out the water

Its the same as holding the button to charge a shot. The skill swaps with Charged Shots.

The overheat gauge looks like it feels very fast, is crouching worth it ? the rate of fire and reload time can already be reduced so much in Rise for almost nothing
Probably the gauge can be less decreased by meta skills.

A cousin was using LBG and he could use the circles so yeah... or it was HBG? Can't remember, but it worked nonetheless.

It is a placeholder. It looks much nicer in maingame. You also have an overheat guage near your reticle, so you don't have to look at the top of the screen.
Crouching shot seems not really worth it
Remember, this is a demo with no proper skills yet, so we can get reduced gauge depletion for crouching fire lol.

It makes so that multi-hitting moves hit even more often, so it's a damage boost for certain ammo types
it increases the number of ticks multi-shot ammo can do and reduces critical range.

I'm a gunner connoisseur. I've played gunner class religiously since MH3U but I gotta say HBG does not look exciting to play compared to LBG in Sunbreak.
