Just when I thought I was getting close to understanding my weapon to a high degree…I see this. You make me look like I just picked up the SnS 😔 Lol. Need this tech down. Saved to my playlist to practice. Subscribed! You’re helping a semi new player out.
Oh wow, no wonder I had such a hard time doing it. Other tutorials are just plain out wrong on what the inputs look like. To me, this is officially the only omnibackhop tutorial for World. Also a bit of a nitpick, you could make the text in the boxes disappear in the same order it shows up, so we get extra time to read it. Right now the last words of the text box stay shorter on screen than the first words, because text shows up from left to right but disappears from right to left.
Thanks for the feedback and sorry about doing a terrible job with text, used a preset there cause manually making them was taking too long and staring at screen for that long is messing with my eye. Will make sure to not repeat that whenever I make something in the future.
I use a little bit slower version of this but more stable. In my way you have to dodge roll then press direction then shield sheathe cancel to bhop. Key thing you need to hold directions and shield button and then hold back+secondary attack buttons when u see shield animation start (this will be visual key). Advantage of this technique is that you can post react things and not precancel every roll to make bhop. loosing time is less than half sec maybe even more.
Keep up this SnS propaganda and I'm going to have to turn one of my swords into a shield! XD Thank you for exposing this hidden tech, though. SnS has a good chance of being my next weapon to develop (the TRUE starter weapon, after all), so learning about these little details is crucial whether or not I end up picking up the Sword and Shield.
I've trained myself to always use guard to perform the back-hop (like from neutral) If you screw up the timing from the roll, guard neutral back-hop might possibly save you from a bad input.
Hey quick question, would you recommend Directional control type 1 or 2 to be the most effective or does it not matter? been running 2 for most of my game.
That's right, I'd never recommend using evade extender on SnS as it already has short range and you don't wanna backhop too far and miss out on follow up attacks.
Happy birthday everyone.
Happy birthday and new year!
Happy birthday and happy new year! I hope 2024 goes smoother for you!
Happy Birthday 🎂🤗 and Happy New Year, Harv 🎉🎊🥳!!! Thanks for the tutorial 🙏❤️
the "aural ping" idea was a great one. That was it .
Thank you so much.
This is straight up the highest skill ceiling for this weapon. The timing is so tight to do this that it’s damn near luck based.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE AUDIO TIMINGS, I'VE BEEN DYING TO LEARN THIS.

Happy new year.... From Italy, glad this video came out
Wow, this is even more detailed than anticipated! Thanks!!!!!

nice SnS tech
also + PGR music...take my thumbs up man
Very interesting ill practice that for sure
I never slept on this because its part of my double Perfect Rush combo.
you could try posting shorts of cool hunting clips, those usually get a lot of engagement
High quality content, ride the MHW wave brother! Get that bag.

Haha I remember this tech but it wasn't as responsive in MHWI imo. However, in MHRS it's definitely way easier/responsive to pull off.
It is responsive, you just gotta get used to the timing.
Funny that I learned this move first, and completely forgot about it after being too comfortable with perfect rush…

Question, it doesn't work with evade extender right ? Bc you would get to far from the monster

@@Harv-E ok ty
can you do this with mouse + keyboard?
You can but I'm not sure about what keys you need to press, I physically can't play on keyboard and mouse so I can't really help you there.
Yes. Spacebar to evade then right-click near the end of the dodge roll. You can add direction during the roll by pressing WASD keys.
hope that they still bring this in MH Wilds and not whatever shit from mh rice
Rise actually implemented this WAY better than world, it feels better and more responsive
sure did. but since its rise ofc its gonna still be hated @@chizbreds1717
