These videos should be longer. All the way to Kenya, and you make a 15-minute video. 😂
We need BTS!

T😂😂 true that
“If I tried to keep up with them I’d be on the news for ….. dying” 😅😂
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
It’s a shame we didn’t get to hear from the athletes. All we got was five words from the coach but the rest was just you talking.
❤😂😊❤
I'm exhausted just from watching you two, let alone the Kenyans, no idea how you managed it! Looks like you had a great time, they really are amazing powerhouses 💪🏻
It was tough but an incredible experience! We feel very lucky to have been able to go
You caught the (6pm) rains down in Africa!
😂😂😂😂
This was incredible to watch! What a beautiful place, and an incredible experience that must have been.
I've always been uncertain as to the value of sponsored teams. I now realize that, in order to compete on the world stage, they're critical. Most talented runners i know of have to have a job to support themselves, and sometimes have a family to tend to. If the incredible Kenyans are able to focus 100% on their training, and more importantly on their recovery/ down time between demanding workouts, it would be practically impossible to compete with that level of 100% dedication to training without being a fully sponsored athlete. Food for thought...
Lol...99% of the people on this planet would not be able to become an elite long distance runner EVEN if they were fully sponsored and did not have any other responsibilities in life. GENETICS is the most important thing, and if you don't have the genetics to become elite, you will NEVER reach that level no matter how much you train.
Love the Hello Kitty! bed
Mo did too!
Love it! Thanks for taking us along with you!
They have a passion for running. Look at all the smiles they had on their faces. Running if life for them
Crazy levels of dedication, very inspiring
Really is!
Wish I could give this a thumbs up twice. After reading Running the the Kenyans and Out of Thin air. The running culture in Kenya and Ethiopia is totally mental. What seems like entire countries of Olympic standard runners. If anyone has to read 2 x Running books, these are the ones I would recommend.
So glad you enjoyed it! And thank you for the book recommendations 😁
Beautiful video. And congrats to both of you for doing great. 👍😊
What a treat. Having an opportunity to train with top athletes can raise your vibration to increase your own performance. Kool secession.
This was very interesting! Such beautiful runners 😍
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video! Insane to see the level of dedication the Kenyans put in to get to that level.
Excellent video, amazing to see the level these athletes are at and the joy they have for their sport.
This was epic! Well done!
Does anyone know the handheld cameras they use on TRC?
This is great content!! Keep it up
Fantastic video , the dedication of these guys is insane
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow what an awesome video! I enjoyed every second of it!
Wow, thanks!
What an awesome opportunity for you two--and an awesome video you've made out of it!🙌I'd love to find out more about the training diet you and the athletes were eating at the 42 House. Did you learn about how closely they track and match their carb, protein and energy intake et al to their training? Or is their strategy simpler than that?🤔Just curious!
I'd love to hear what you learned about the athletes' fueling strategies, all the food looked really good!
Really enjoyed seeing Mo put to the test, I always picture him pacing someone else to help with their own pb but this was all about him (and James obv)
They both had an amazing time!
Thank you.
This is so cool!
Its crazy how the logic of running for the Kenyans works ... Ideally .. when u train for something .. u try to simulate what u training for, in training like a batsman from cricket, footballers training as close to match like intensity
Theese kenyans train at altitude and come down heere at sea level where the oxygen is more plentiful and " what they training for " is literally easier than race
The kenyans will be dominating long distance running for a long time
What an awesome video. That could have been longer and still interesting…although Mo and James were probably too wiped out to film much more. Huge respect.
What an experience, and what a lot of work these guys are putting in! A follow-up with Andy, about how this training compared to his back in the day, would be very interesting. I get the feeling that these guys are putting in more hours and miles than the pros used to, but is that perception correct?
Now that's some serious dedication and discipline!
Really is!
Brilliant video, so inspiring. I think Rick should do the half marathon 😁
The Idea of waking up at 5.20am for a speed session is displeasing to me. Severely...!! 😁😁 As for which presenter should tackle a half marathon later in the year, I'm Team Jess all the way. Although Tom would be pretty cool too. Hell! Have them both run it, blow the budget 😉
Thanks for sharing. Good edit. Well presented and a decent amount of humility shown. Not intending on that being patronising. By the sounds of it it had a really positive impact on you both. Why not both of you do the half marathon. Would be good to see how you both approach it and may make for an even better feature.
What an amazing experience. I'm absolutely in awe of the Kenyans. They are just something else. Well done guys. I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous 😂
They are incredible athletes!
I went to Uganda and couldn't run for more than 6K in the whole time I was there (6 months), Its tough in the heat and higher elevation (but not as high as yours - its like 2000m). I usually run 20K weeks in and out but not in the heat! :) Would have loved a longer video or multiple videos of Kenya - very expensive 15 minutes I think - or you wanted a holiday to Kenya! 😂
Just imagine you have been running with some absolute elite runners in the world. And half of them are just not good enough to make it into the Kenian WL team.
It’s crazy isn’t it? The speed of the whole nation is mind boggling
Fartlek workout details just amazing.
Right?!
Are training camps to Kenya open for the general public, how can I find out more info?
Hé Mo, is there a video coming on you completing the Tokyo marathon? I also ran Tokyo this year, and believe i saw you during the run. Would be nice to see your experience during that marathon. Keep it up!
Hi, sadly we didn't film Mo doing the Tokyo marathon, we hope you had a great time though!
More like Training With Kenyan ELITES For 48 seconds :P
😂😂😂😂
Amazing! Thank you for sharing the journey and congrats on surviving!
At 6:35 I saw a white runner. Was that by chance Piet Wiersma, the winner of the Comrades ultramarathon? I know he had a training camp somewhere down there.
Well, Piet has an different hairstyle😅
Eat, sleep, run, repeat. Literally.
So they run 3 times a day?
I also can't run when I'm not fasted, I tried once and ended up vomiting. Well actually I can't have food in my stomach if I'm trying to do any form of exercises even walking.
You guys have such an amazing job. If you're ever looking to expand to the Netherlands and need a terrible but highly motivated runner, I'm your lad.
But can they do it on a cold night in stoke.....great video!
Up 'anley duck
Pls update their food quantity and sleep 🇮🇳👍🙏😊
Next time I suggest that you stay there for 2-3 weeks to get somthing out of it :)
The big difference between running in the UK and Kenya is that for them, running is their only chance to make a decent living. There is very little recreational running in these areas, the only people running are those trying to make it internationally. Here, running is fun, there it's everything.
Their ONLY chance?
@@alysarenee3915 They are subsistence farmers in that part of Kenya. Running is the way out for them.
You're mad seek a psychiatrist that's how madness kicks in... Running is not the only thing done here in Iten we do farming and business in ELDORET town... Where did you get that madness that runners in Iten their only hope is running🤔
If you wake up at 5.20-5.30 and go straight for a run, when do you manage to poop?
After the workouts done 😂
What was your schedule? My concern is mainly about the morning coffee? Are you running on empty stomach? ‘Joy of running’! 👏👏
We always did fasted running in the morning, so no coffee until afterwards
@@runningchannel now that’s a challenge 😐
I assume even with filtered coffee before the workout, this would still be considered fasted.
15 minutes for a trip to Kenya? This needed to be split into at least 15 mins per day you were there. Do it over 3 videos
It's giving school camp vibes. 😂
Haha yeah I see that
Do women train at the camp you stayed in or is it just for men?
There were women in the vlog 🎉
Would’ve loved Andy join the pack
What pace are thy doing? …fast
Do you know roughly what pace the Kenyans were running for that easy run 8k ?
Roughly 8-9min/miles
@@runningchannel good stuff, thanks. Nice video and well done 👍🏼
These kenya runners definitely could ate full marathon in casual runners paces like breakfast😅
Definitely!!
The way they warmup and do sessions in leggings and jackets 😅
Wow! John are you Sun burnt already?🤔 Mo are you giving up? I thought you will take the challenge head on😐
No one was giving up! It was just very difficult to keep up with such incredible athletes
@@runningchannel That’s what I thought😲
Who is John 😂
What was there slow pace ?
😢😮k😊ki 8

সমীর বাবুর কানে কানে বলেছিল।
If it is very warm, why are they wearing jackets?
It wasn't overly warm at 6am
Looks like they're eating a pretty plant predominant diet?
As it is adviceable for endurance athlethes😅
Compare what the Kenyans eat and what the west eat and you will see why they are healthy and fit..
You can't prove that. Keep your opinions to yourself
