Someone done that to my car using key
Dang that’s lucky. Cool someone did it for you for free 😅
I hope you know that not just anyone can do this ...this is pure art at its finest!
Thanks.
You are a master pinstriper, no doubt about it. 100%! And an inspiration to folks like me, who want to master this ancient skill
Hahhaha
Mr. Rogers that is amazing.
Also, lacquer thinner, and yes a natural hair brush. As far as prep I always use glass cleaner. Wipe and dry right behind. If the surface is heavily waxed I have found that one pass with an orange citrus cleaner and then regular prep. To clean mistakes just use a wax and grease remover. Hope I have answered all your questions.
That shirts clean af. My man definitely “had fun” in the 70s👽
You have a very steady hand, if I was to do this there would be wavy lines everywhere.........
Amazing to see this man work. By the way I'm seeing this in 2022
incredible on the long stripes. Absolutely the best I've seen!
Thank you.
Simple, effective, no BS. Artisan at work...... nice
That’s Mad Friggn Skills. Raw Talent !!!!
Just one word wow! A master at his craft!😮
DUPONT makes a line called NASON FULL CRYL. IT IS PERFECT for striping, adding hardener is optional but highly recommended. Any hardner like wet look can be used. it is glossy, durable, very well priced and custom colors can be mixed at any good automotive paint shop. you may have to let it thicken up some before running your lines. Last time I bought some green mettalic, it was around 32.00 a quart, and the hardner around 15.00 a half pint. There is a internet store called tri city paint that sells acrylic enamel by the gallon. they are also know as trinity paint out of new jersey.
That is one super steady hand you have there!
hllo from a fellow texan. WOW, I heard of people lining that fast but DAMN, you are good then acrylic enamel? damn, again. i favorited this video, i have to see more.
Thanks very much for your reply, that's very interesting and could be ideal for the climate over here in England GB. I'll check out what's available and hopefully give it a try. Thanks again.
Thanks for posting more Info, I thankyou, you've been very inderstanding and helpful; I must have watched this video a hundred times myself... lol...
Your work is truly smart and beautiful, even two years later I'm so impressed.

this guy is an alien. I bet he know karate too
What a talent! I'm envious. Great video. Thank you.
I wish you could stripe my black caddy in Lake County, IL. Great video, even if it is 10 years old!!!
Amazing !
You make it look easy.
You are awesome!!!
Really nice a d clean job.
Thanks for your reply. It may be ideal for the climate here in England UK. I'll see what's available and hopefully give it a try. Thanks again .
poorboyink
Pretty slick do you do any special prep to the car or go right on top of the factory clear coat ? Prep I mean scuff , Dewax ,etc
Great demo. Can you please tell us a bit more on how you prep the surface as well as the paint. Is there hardener added to the Acrylic Enamel paint you use. Also, what did you use to wipe the paint off with? Can't believe how fast it dried. Thanks for posting.
You artists make me sick. The magnet is a great idea. Nice work.
Amazing skills! Would this be the best paint for a freshwater boat application also?
Wow , I'm amazed
For the Lazy people out there
- Magnet strip - uk.rs-online.com/web/p/magnetic-tapes/2979100/
Paint used with thinners and hardeners - www.ppgpaints.com/products/industrial/devflex-interior-exterior-dtm-quick-dry
Brush -Mack1010 www.mackbrush.com/product/mack-1010/
Prep - Yes clean the car back to the paint so no wax
cotton or wool glove finger to glide along the magnet
Removal - Paint thinner always takes off acrylic enamel. But don't use lacquer thinner it will take the clear off.
Skill - Cannot be bought, you will need to practice a lot.
Ok you got my attention!
What and where do I get the paint?
If the is a mistake did you use mineral spirts?
wow...just wow...
I said this 8 years ago, and I'll say it again. Wow
VERY steady hands. You could be a brain surgeon.
No way that I could do that, I drink too much - lol.
When you're good, you are GOOD!
I give you credit, you have mad skills. I wish you lived in So Cal so I could hire you to do my car.
Hi there, please could you tell me is your acrylic enamel paint system a 2K or is the hardener optional? Great work!
wonderful video, I like your detail work. do you remove car wax before you stripe and what was that black thing on your finger? was it to allow you to slid along the car easier ? thanks again, I saved your video in my favorites so I can use the technique at a later date.
Every car is prepped to the paint. In this video I had a cut off finger of a cloth glove on and it's to help my finger glide. i later switched to using cloth band aids and found they work better.
Paint looks like it can pull for miles.
What brand of paint is he using the drys so fast?
Nice work and informative! Is there any clear or anything you put over it that you use for durability?
No, I use a single stage enamel.
what about after the work is done? how long do we wait before we can wash and buff the car?
Acrylic Enamel Paint, if it doesn't wipe off as your working with immediate dry results, then how is it possible that you just wiped it off with a rag? What solvent did you use to wipe it off, and how long does it set to cure until the vehicle can be washed?
First, is this automotive acrylic enamel paint ? Regular reducer ? Natural hair brush ?
quality. guess i'm on the right track as i just purchased a magnetic strip as a guide for my first attempt. thought it would be better to run a finger against it.
Hi sir, can you please tell me what is your type of remove a paint?..thanks.
how long have you been using the acrylic enamel? are you located in houston?
Which paint do you use ? And what is the brand ?
And better yet. Where can I buy it ?
ok i'm definitely sold on this technique! however, i'm curious about the brand of paint that you use. i know u said 'acrylic enamel' but that could be anything, even one shot is an enamel. i don't think i'm the only one here who would like to know what brand it is ;)
also, the only mag tape that i've found comes in a 10' roll at the max. i see the one u use is plenty longer than that. u mind sharing where we can get one like that as well? thanks for the vid!
Most stripers use 1 Shot but for production work it dries too slow.
@@brodgers1861 what is the paint?
please could you tell me what did you use to wipe that paint off with?
Thanks
Paint thinner always takes off acrylic enamel. But dont use laquer thinner it will take the clear off
How much does a job like that. Thanks a lot
Great pinstriping ? But whats the name of paint n can you clear coat over it?😮
At that time I was using PPG DAR and it can be cleared over. That paint has basically become extinct or very expensive and I now use PPG Shop Line. Both are a single stage enamel.
Hi thanks for share, where i can get the logos for all brands?
Damn ur good! Fast ad hell! Time to go practice!
what brand of acrylic enamel do you use? did you wipe it off with acetone? also what size brush is that? im just starting out.
PPG, I use wax and grease remover to remove paint if it's fresh. If it's dry I use lacquer thinner.
What brand of paint are you using on this?
acrylic enamel or acrylic urethane?
Its Bart From Corpus
What brand of paint were you using in this demo?? The only paint I know of that dries that quickly would be xalta Hot Hues paints!! Thanks Brotha and good job on the stripe job!!!
Hot Hues is a good paint. I use PPG.
where did u get the stencil from.
Where can I get one of those logo stencils? (Lexus)
Mr. Mark Court has some competition.
Wow thats only done in TEXAS!!!! YEAH!!!
No. It's not only done in texas. Texas has nothing to do with it.
@bird, what is your question? I have done my best to answer everyone's questions, I have spoke personally to just about everyone who has had a question.
Hey Brett, what exactly do you put on the gliding finger? It looks thick. Sock, stocking...?
That was a cut off finger from a glove. A bandaid works just fine.
@@brodgers1861 Thanks! One more question...where do you get the long magnets from?
How many people held breathing?
How well does acrylic enamel hold up compared to 1 shot?
Very well, it's an automotive paint.
how do you accomplish painting the whole line with the paintbrush keeping the same amount of paint on,i feel if i start from point A there will not be adequate paint when i reach point B and il fuck up,id like to know that tip
It's all in how you thin the paint and load the brush.
Where can I get one of those silk screen things you got there?
email me @ brodgers1861@yahoo.com
I would not buff over a painted stripe but it can be washed right away.
What brand of acrylic enamel paint are you using. Im in California 😮
Back then I was using PPG DAR but now using Shop Line.
Thanks go the comments and questions. I can't believe this video has been viewed almost 13,000 times! Yes it is automotive acrylic enamel and yes there is hardener in it. It is not a stencil I use for the logo, it is a silk screen and you should consult a local screen maker on having your own made.
Hi can you please tell me what paint you use? Thanks for the video...amazing work!
I use PPG acrylic enamel. It's a single stage auto paint.
@@brodgers1861 Mr. Rodgers, do you mind to type a link on this paint? Very interesting and wonder about time of dry. Thank you a lot! Amazing skills by the way!
nice you've done that more than once, i think.
Just a few times lol.
What brush are you using to pinstripe???thx
Mack 1010. It's a Grumbacher knock off. There are many good brushes out there and Iv'e used just about every one.
I'd like to know what brand of paint too. I've tried Lincoln but it doesn't seem to have enough pigment.
What about wider say 2" stripes?
What are you dipping the brush into?
Paint and thinner.
Still doing this five years later? Anything change?
The paint has changed but that's about it.
What paint have you changed to. That is what is so amazing about this video.
That first sentence was meant to be a question, sorry about that 😁
😲 some one call Ripley's
Ha i've seen this a couple times and when i happen across it I watch it again.
3:08 what is that called what he's doing there ?
That takes a some practice.
Inbelivebal dreeing speed
you can call your local automotive paint supply stores and ask if they have any acrylic enamel sitting around they want to sell at a discount price/ LISTEN, all acrylic enamel is is the type of paint that was used before the modern base coat/clear coat urethane enamel paint/ acrylic enamel is very good paint. if will not blister peel like base coat clear coat because the gloss is mixed with the pigment. if you add the WET LOOK hardener it will bevery glossy and durable. and unless its metallic, if it ever fades you can wet sand it and buff it back to life.

Rolls Royce and their coach line line painter lol
Cool trick. To much plastic for that to work for me.
It's just wax and grease remover.
Hi what part of TX are you in??? I would love for you to STRIPES my 2020 Ram. Is this something I can pay you for?
I'm in Austin but have locations in San Antonio and DFW
@@brodgers1861 ok how do I get in touch with the DFW location and how much will this cost I have two RAMs both 2020s one is a crew cab and the other is the a quad cab classic body. I would love to get them done asap . Thanks
What kind of magnet is that?
I use a 3/16 x 1/2 magnet that is 25' long.
@@brodgers1861 wow!!!! Thank you for the reply and information!!!!!
It takes Rolls-Royce coachline painter Mark Court, three hours to paint each coach line. Got milk?
Watch my other video. I stripe three Rolls in less than 10 minutes and they are perfect. Ive done hundreds of them.
Kafka brush Cổ. Is for sale.
IF YOU DONT UES ONE SHOT PANIT THE WHAT PANIT YOU USE
The lines on Rolls Royce and Bentley are done in the UK, freehand no magnet just a steady hand.!!
Brian Higgins rolls Royce, and Bentley in the UK use templates, and pinstripe tape FACT.
Only bespoke paint is done by coach painters, last year 58 cars were hand finished by rolls Royce!
@@ppassmore25 I do many Rolls and Bentley's here in Austin. Ive seen them hand painted and taped off. I have no idea why it's done differently on different cars.
@mike johnson Haha, that shirt is embarrassing lol.
WHAT ABOUT A CORVETTE/////////////////////////////////////////////
Hardener must be added to this paint.
Brett Rodgers do you add reducer as well? Hope I get a response notice this is an older video
Guess you cant do it on a VETTE.
I use a different guide with adhesive.
Questions from a year ago and you haven't answered any of them! What gives?
Did you make the vid simply to show off? jw
