    Find it here: amzn.to/439DA4t
    Details:
    Smartly simple
    The Cat S22 Flip takes the cell phone back to what it should be… a phone. Made for those who want a device as simple to use as it is tough, the Cat S22 Flip features physical buttons and a large touch screen, letting you choose how you interact with it. The Cat S22 Flip’s ‘Snap it to End it’ calling gives you confidence that when it is closed the call is over.
    The modern flip
    The Cat S22 Flip brings the worlds biggest operating system, Android™ 11 (Go Edition) and its Play Store to the traditional cellphone design so you no longer have to choose between a conventional cellphone or a smartphone. Powerful speakers help you hear in the loudest of environments, and a larger battery keeps the Cat S22 Flip going, so no matter if you are a first responder on the front line or a farmer out in the field, the Cat S22 Flip is a phone you can depend on.
    Flippin' tough
    Engineered to the highest rugged standards, the Cat S22 Flip is everything you expect from a Cat phone, with the hinge alone is tested 150 thousand times. The Cat S22 flip features the same IP68 and MIL-SPEC 810H rating as our larger phones, meaning it can be dropped, dunked and washed regularly using the harshest of chemicals, bleaches and sanitizers. So you can wash it thoroughly and regularly, helping to keep you and those around you safe from germs.
    Smartly simple Android
    Android Go Edition is the lighter version of Google’s Android system, giving you access to key apps and security benefits of Android without the need for a larger, expensive device, making it the perfect option for whether you are looking for a device for yourself or your team.

    @Magicmedo hmm i'd argue that's a generalization...many people still want a way to communicate using services like Whatsapp as an alternative to text...that's why having the ability to install it on Android (if needed) is nice to have...you don't have to run apps, but having the flexibility is neat imo...not to mention advantages like the smaller size when folded. Sure, there's a segment of people that want something simpler...there's plenty of other flip phones out there already, so why not have another option for folks that want something different?
    also the concept of a nostalgic device but with modernized specs likely appeals to some...that's why Galaxy Z Flip devices - still technically "flip phones" - are quite popular and capable...so it's not the form factor alone that determines functionality or who "should" use it since people's needs are different...
    and not to be rude, but thinking like this is probably the reason why phone brands don't even try experimenting as much as they did back in the day...we essentially killed innovation with criticism and then act surprised as to why phones aren't "fun" or unique anymore sml...so no, it's not a "dumb product" just because you're not the intended target audience lol

    Im thinking of getting one. I have been on a social media detox but i still listen to music and things on youtube when im driving(truck driver) or at the gym. I already have a flip phone but its just a general one. It works fine but luckily my work phone is an iphone(so ill use that for music and videos until they tell me to stop😂) and when i go to the gym or anywhere on weekends i just switch my sim card back to my android for music, videos and my gps tracker for my pov truck

    Its an okay phone. I got one after watching this review and the touch screen is barely serviceable. I'd recommend getting a stylus if this is your daily driver. Some apps won't resize properly on the screen, even if they are compatible and thus are not useable.
    Spotify works though and that's the main thing.

    There are a few things I don’t like about it:
    1. External screen will not show any notifications other than text or calls. If you change default sms app there will be no notifications.
    2. Keyboard is awful. Its just too flat and you don't feel buttons under fingertips at all. Try to use that with gloves.
    3. Size is too big and bulky. Not pocketble format. But yes, you can throw it in a bag with keys.
    4. Hinge is very tight and body designed a way that its impossible to open it with one hand.

      bro honestly whatever people have reviewed and told you that are talking trash, they were probs using it for tasks beyond its capabilities. ive had mine for between 2-4 months and its awesome! never crashed and runs as smooth as silk in my experience. though it can run games (badly) its designed for communications and light to moderate processors

    • @Sunnydayfreeway
      @Sunnydayfreeway Před 23 dny +3

      I can agree with dude above me, I've had this phone for about 6 months and honestly it's great. The only problem I can see with these phones is the battery is not that great if you use it most of the day and also mine is defective and the keypad lights stay on after you flip the phone close but you can turn the lights off in settings. They have an extended battery for the phone too. It's a great choice if you're serious about not having a smartphone

    • @LibbyMia-rz8gk
      @LibbyMia-rz8gk Před 22 dny

      @@Sunnydayfreeway indeed. It’s a great device. If I need the socials it’s on my laptop now. I’ve kicked the smartphone habit as I’m no longer interested in my s20. I find the reason the battery doesn’t last longer than a half day (in my experience) is if it’s being used all the time. I hardly pick it up unless for calls and texts and I love that idea. Doing it that way it lasts for about 3/4 days before it hits 10% for me. Such a great device such a shame the company shut down the phone department early this year. 😭
